Hey, lets start a list for Triples and doubles. Since I am just starting to really shop there, I am not sure of all the normal prices. Does anyone know how much Kelloggs cereals are? Could be some good deals there with the coupons on Sunday. I wish their prices were online!

So .49 cents a box for certains Kelloggs with the 1.00 coupons on Sunday doubled. Definitely a good price.

Thank you! I read on another site that Chinet plates are 2.50, so even the 1.00/1 any Chinet would double, and would be only .50 net price. Not bad, just as good as the 2.00 ones.

I am in a big rush, but has everyone seen the Summer Savings Event which runs only through triples. It is in the online ad and all participating products give up to $10 off on your next visit. Sorry can't list coupon sources. I am supposed to be gone already, but deals come first!
Coupon matchups I see for this I am sure there are many more.
Breyers Ice Cream is 2/$6, $1/1 doubled = $1.00 ea. oop (3 max) retail: $9.00
Bertolli Pasta Sauce is 2/$4, .60/1 doubled = .80 ea. oop (3 max) retai: $6.00
That scenario gives me $15 retail for a $5 catalina. I will use it to buy a pump perks item next week to build for my fill up.
There are many more scenarios I am sure. Suave deodorant should be free with .50/1q and I am sure I missed some other good deals. I better get off of here. Hope this helps some get great deals at Biggs!

My kmart is always out of these. So I guess I could live with .50.

I'm recopying my list here for everyone:

Band Aids (one type I found) $1.19--FREE after $1.00/1 coupon (doubled)
Domino Brown Sugar in box--$1.00--$0.10 after $0.30 coupon (tripled)
Kellogg's Rice Krispies $2.88--$0.88 after $1.00/1 coupon (doubled)
Smucker's Ice Cream Toppings (certain ones)--$2.39--$0.39 after $1.00/1 coupon (doubled)
Old El Paso Taco Seasoning--$1.09 each--$0.18/2 after $1.00/2 coupon (doubled)
Hefty Easy Grip Cups $1.67 each--$0.17 each after $0.50/1 coupon (tripled)
Marginally good:
Sargento Sliced Cheese $2.99--$1.79 each after $0.40/1 coupon (tripled)
Synders Pretzels 2/$4--Can't remember coupon--$1.00/3 maybe??
Also, if you are feeling nostalgic for Krogers, pick up 2-4 packs of Cottonelle and use the $0.75/1 blinkie at the display. They are doubling it and they are $1.00 each this week, so $1.00/2. Not free, but not awful either.
NOTE: someone else posted they got Cottonelle free. I don't know how this is possible unless there is some $0.50/1 4 pack coupon floating around that is still valid.
Can someone please tell me if $2.19 (post coupons) is a good price for Log Cabin Syrup (24 oz)? I couldn't decide, so I only bought one.

My experience: I went this morning (Thurs) & ck'd out around 9 AM at the Harrison OH location. Shoppers with handfuls of coupons were steadily arriving. I was fortunate to find everything I had a coupon for in stock, HOWEVER I must add that there was very little left of the hot items & I'm fairly certain that by noon most would be gone. I saved 82% on my bill. I was surprised at how the cashier was handling things. In order to ensure that I had the correct items & only 3 of each, she 1st. spread out all my coupons in grps of 3 across her counter & studied them a bit. Then she scanned 3 like items, then found the corresponding 3 coupons & immediately scanned them. Was a long process. I was sooo glad I went early cause I can just imagine what a nightmare it would be later in the day when they got busy!
I must say that I'd be tempted to shop Biggs if they always dbl coupons & do NOT limit me to 3 coupons on like items. Otherwise, Kroger is the place to go! I almost always have a doz or more like coupons.

What a strange way for her to scan things!!
I was also at the Harrison store, but I was there early Thursday morning, checking out at 1:30am. It was crazy & fun at the same time. It was fun sneaking all this into the house without waking everybody up. I felt like Santa!

These prices were at the Eastgate location. This is the deal that I did. I saved over $210 and paid $79.82 OOP!
THANK YOU to Bigg's for doing this. It not only helps my family, but it allows me to help others. I have 2 bags I am donating from this sale.
Thank you to the Eastgate location for stocking shelves, getting items from the back that were gone and asking if they could help find anything. Truly wonderful!

I did really well tonight, spent 69.00 and saved 239.00. Also got .76 in pump perks and a 5.00 oyno. A few things I found at the Mason Biggs that I did not see (sorry if this is a repeat):
Playtex Living Gloves 1.99, free after 1.00/1 any Playtex Gloves from 5/3 SS doubled, and a moneymaker with 0.03 PumpPerks.
Playtex Handsaver or Living Gloves 1.99, also free after 1.00/1 Handsaver or Living Gloves doubled, and a moneymaker with 0.03 PumpPerks.
Open Pit BBQ Sauce was 10/10, and had hangtags for .35 off any one, tripled making them free.
I saw Cintinative there, and tons of people with binders, but they were AMAZINGLY friendly and stocked. They were out of the Hefty Plates and cup, and the Sunny Delight Smoothies, and the California Pizza Kitchen, but had everything else, and were restocking the whole time. The cashier (nice kid) clapped and people were just AWESOME!!!!!

Okay, this is killer. How in the heck do I go with 2 little boys (2 year old and 3.5 year old) and plan accordingly. I've never shopped at Biggs (okay, maybe once or twice). I don't know the store...BUT HOW can I even consider letting this one slip away???????
I first want to say thanks to everyone that's posting their shopping trips. I really appreciate it! Saves me time there (I've repped those I could).
This week was supposed to be my "live off of stock pile and only buy produce" week. Guess I'm blowing that theory :hysterical:
Anyway, if anyone has any great suggestions on this one...I'm all ears!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One thing I did do (I'm crazy...I know :giggle2:) is go through my entire binder of "to use" coupons. I listed out every coupon of things I might possibly buy and put the "true" coupon value by that item. So now I'll walk in tomorrow with a list of all my coupons on one page with the item and "coupon value". That should help...I HOPE! The stuff we do to save money...I can't believe it is 1:40 am and I'm still up...I'm going to need a lot of COFFEE in the am to get going...that's for sure!
You are doing it the right way, for sure. I was in for 4 hours tonight doing all that in my head.
I went to the Mason Biggs yesterday afternoon & it was great. Almost everyone there shopping had binders or big envies of Q's. Everyone had a positive attitude & the employees were so helpful & nice. I had never shopped there before. The woman who gave me my pump perks/baby club card even told me which of the Biggs Q's that were getting people free things that day so I could be sure to print them. The cashier was one of the nicest I've ever had & was so excited I had a bunch of Q's.
I'm due in OCtober so I am trying to stockpile Huggies wipes. So nice to get 3 tubs for .46 each! Gotta love that free Chi Chis Salsa & Betty Crocker Icing too YUM- I can eat that stuff straight out of the jar- Uh did I mention I'm preggo LOL!!!!
I did get a 2.00 ONYO Cat & they said they also take all stores Cat's as long as it says Manufactures Q on it.
I had such a positive experience there- If they doubled I'd go back but after this sale I will have to stick with Meijer & Kroger.
I just saw the post about the 0.50/1 IPs for BC Frosting. I only had the $0.55/1 ones so I didn't buy any. I am not sure I want to go back to the store again though. <sad>
BTW, Mason was out of the Suave men's shampoo last night. I bought some 3 in 1 I thought was also $1.50 but it was really $2.00. Still only $0.50 but I was bummed. Also they were out of the Hefty cups. I would go back if they restocked so if someone hits Mason let me know.
The .75 BLINKIE for cottonelle is NOT doubling.
You must show your cashier that it does not double.
I think they fixed that problem. It doubled for me.
06-13-2009, 03:46:25 PM
So here's my thing...
When I had a couple coupons that were "DND-9" the guy said to me that since they were non-doubling coupons they weren't allowed to triple them. They could be doubled since the "triple" $0.50 & under and "double" thing was Biggs not the manufacturer. This is what he said...since they are "tripling" coupons it was almost like the double was related to the mfg and the triple was biggs. :shrug7:
He said that they were't using the coupon inappropriately. He said that a lot of $1 coupons are clearly non-doubling. But that Biggs was the "doubling" entity so it was okay? This was a person that looked like a manager entity...there were A LOT of them walking around yesterday just there to answer questions and such. I was asking him about the pump perks and stacking coupons...thats when I found out Biggs doesn't allow you to stack store coupons on top of manf. ones :sad:. At this time I also asked about the DND-9 coupon.
Is this making any sense? Amanda/Colleen thoughts? I don't want to be talking about a coupon inappropriately. So I didn't know what HWCs opinion was on this. It might be a YMMV thing? I went to the Colerian Biggs if that helps any?
FYI on my 3 DND-9 the computer only doubled them. I don't know... :confused71:
On another note, my brain was like this :hectic1: by the end of my trip. This was b/c my 22 month old and 3.5 year old thought it would be good to a) throw goldfish EVERYWHERE b) scream at the top of their lungs for 4 straight asiles :mad77: c) push my binder onto the floor...which came apart and coupons went everywhere. :mad20:UGH! (enough complaining). So if anyone saw a crazy lady about to snap at any moment with a binder falling apart and two kids...that was me. :hysterical:
06-13-2009, 03:53:43 PM
If they start with a 5, they should double. But if it says dnd, then technically they don't have to. If they start with a 9, they should not double.
cecismom
06-13-2009, 03:54:13 PM
I should add that the cottonelle blinkies at my biggs started with a 5, and did not say dnd.
manders13
06-13-2009, 04:24:39 PM
Ok ya lost me.
Umm...
If it SAYS dnd 9 and it doubles- consider yourself lucky.
If it says DND-5 it *should double* or triple but if it doesnt you don't have a leg to stand on while complaining
If it DOESNT start with a 9, and DOESNT say DND anywhere and it doesnt double then yes, i would point it out.
It's not inapropriate to ask for a q to be doubled that should have doubled,
Nor is in inappropriate IMO if a coupon doubles (With out being "pushed" or w/e) when it states DND 5 or 9. As long as YOU didnt hold a gun to the coupons head and say "HEY YOU NEED TO DOUBLE!" ok that was a bad joke but you get the picture
Does anyone know how well stocked Harrison Biggs is? The closest Bigg's to me is about 40+ minutes each way and I am considering going tomorrow. But, I also don't want to waste the time and gas if someone knows whether the stock is empty on all the good deals.
[quote=maggiew;1846734]The .75 cottonelle coupon is being handled so differently at different stores, isn't it? I feel sorry for the cashiers, but they have been awesome!
At Colerain today, it automatically doubled to 1.50.
At Delhi yesterday, it "doubled" to 1.00.
Yes, at the Mason store they "doubled" mine to $1.00 but I think they doubled it to $1.50 for some people. maybe?
I live right around the corner, they have been stocking every night but they are running very low on V8 Fusion, there isn't any Sunny D Smoothies or Capri Sun morning blend. Everything else has been great.
Thanks! I think I will go in a little bit and give it a try. I already used all my Capri sun qs at Meijer anyway when they were on sale. :thanks7:
Dangit, DH egged me on. He wanted a free fillup. I got my papers and went quickly. They even had the Lysol wipes, but I left all those coupons at home except for 1.
Now I think I am coming down with a little something, I am dead tired. Maybe it is shoppers hangover?:giggle2:
