We are WAY behind on picking a moderator of the month for the month of April (sorry about that) so I am playing catch up today and posting both April and May's mod of the month today.
Tara is got quite a few votes and is a great moderator to have here at Hotcouponworld. Tara is moderator for the following forums:
Coupon Trains: Hop on Board (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon-trains-hop-board/), Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/index.php#forums-trading-share-wealth), Trader In Training (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/trader-training/), Trades: Current Coupons And Offers (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/trades-current-coupons-offers/)
and really loves helping our new traders in training with their trading questions! Here is Tara's Mod of the Month profile!:wavehi:
Name: Tara
Age: 36 (pushing 37 though my kids will tell you I am 37!)
Home State: MA
Occupation: SAHM
Marital Status: living with my SO
Kids: 3, a dd 15, a ds 12 and a dd who just turned 3!
Pets: 1 crazy mixed breed named Princess Fiona
Little Known Factoid: My greatest fear is falling. I am a nervous wreck when I have to walk down hills or steep paths. Heights don't really bother me, just inclines!! I'm also terrified of birds. It makes for some very good entertainment for my family and friends!
Favorite Money Saving Tip: Rebate! If you can rebate do it! Oh the free money that you never knew was out there!! Keep great records and copies of the forms and receipts. Follow up if you don't get that money!
Budget: Honestly I don't really have a formal one - I know, I know!
Stores I shop: Shaws, Price Chopper, Big Y, CVS and WAGS, sometimes throw in a trip to Walmart or Target
Coupon Organization Method: You can organize these suckers? I have a mix of filing whole inserts and a binder. It's more of a mess but an organized one!
Best Advice to Newbies: Sign up for the Trader in Training program! It's a lot of fun and a whole new world will open up to you. You'd be amazed at the variety of coupons in one part of the country versus another! Also, don't go crazy chasing every deal and every "hot" coupon. You can only do so much in a day and making yourself miserable isn't really the goal!
