This was my first time ever using a scanner. The scanner only fits a regular sized paper so I have to fold the ad in half---which essentially doubles my work. :sad: This was the best I could do. Then I had to download to flickr and then into google document......a bzillion clicks later. If anyone knows of an easier way.......PLEASE let me know.
VIEW AD HERE (http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddpnr3wj_176fwcgk8dk)
*** PLEASE--give the same respect that I have shown......if you post my ad on another site, please give proper credit--posting ads are a lot work!***
~~~~PLEASE NOTE: My ad always has a whole page of alcohol deals (which replaces a whole page of deals that other areas get) on the back page which I do not scan. It has been my experience that those deals are NOT available (have done price checks) at my store even if they are available in other locations.~~~~
That depends on the city though, the state tax rate is 7.8% if I remember correctly, so that extra is the city tax on top of the state tax.
Another cut on this is at Wagr. I recently got BOGO for $2.99 (two packages taped together). A $2MQ makes it $0.99 for 2. Oddly this deal was at end of isle not with razors.
I used them at Food Lion-they instructed the cashier to enter the price, which she did. BOGO or freebie coupons always do that at FL. I think it depends on the store, whether the registers will tell them what to enter or not.
Free Coppertone?
I was in Rite Aid last week and noticed several different Coppertone products on a clearance end cap. Average marked price was $3.00 (don't remember the exact prices, and it was different prices for different products. All were in the $3.00 range). My question is....can we use these clearance items with the SCR? If so, this could be a great deal!
Possible Scenario:
Buy Coppertone products - 2 @ $3.00 ea = $6.00
Use IP - $3.00 and MQ $1.50/1 (04/19/09SS or 05/10/09SS - x7/31/2009)
(if the stores aren't letting us use but 1 IP per transaction)
oop - $1.50 + get back $5.00 SCR #3 = $3.50 MM (or more if you can use both IP's in the same transaction).
(Even if we can't use the clearance items for the SCR, with the $3.00 IP, one would still be free or close to free.)
My favorite Rite Aid that I shopped at all of the time was closed. :sad:
I haven't tried using IP's yet, so don't know what is permissable. Kind of nervous to use them at a new store with employees that I don't know, but I'm gonna give it a try.
you should be able to use more than one IP now per transaction (as long as the coupon is 5.00 or under).........if they give you a hard time about it you could always write corp and get something in writing to carry with you.
Although the SCR all say excludes clearance items....I have always gotten credit for them thus far........
Hmm...it may be an ok deal, depending on what you need and your options. I think the refills are at least $10 each, so even with a $4 coupon you'd pay at least $6 for all of it after rebate. I typically wouldn't pay more than $1 for tampons, and probably not more than $1 for a razor either. If you could toss in a $5/25, it might come out better, but I'd rather have more almost-free candy for my office gluttons :)
Question on the Mars candy deal - I don't shop Riteaid a lot, but wanted to use these coupons to really get the 2 bars free - I was going to use them at Bilo today, but their BOGO sale marks each item half off and I would still have paid .40 for 2 bars. Will Riteaid actually give both free?
I'm a frequent Rite Aid shopper and my experience with my local stores is-the second item of the BOGO is marked $0.00. So when you use a BOGO Q they take off the price for one. I personally have never had a problem with a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale at Rite Aid. To be honest I don't know if the cashier ever really noticed that she was selling two items for zero (except taxes).:hysterical:
You should be able to get them free (or for a few pennies depending on price) if your RA rings up 0.00 and then .85cent........mine rings like that, but I have heard of some converted stores that ring half off.
None of the 7 stores near me will and they all make me feel like a criminal for trying. BTW, the official corporate line is that it is NOT permissible. I sent them an email to check after being denied so many times and I was informed.
Sorry buddy.
BTW, some stores ring up BOGO as BOGO and some as half price. Once again, YMMV.
Question on the Mars candy deal - I don't shop Riteaid a lot, but wanted to use these coupons to really get the 2 bars free - I was going to use them at Bilo today, but their BOGO sale marks each item half off and I would still have paid .40 for 2 bars. Will Riteaid actually give both free?
Surprised I did not see this mentioned. On the front page of my ad is a Colgate RA coupon, $1.99 less $1 RA = 99c. presumably there are some $1 or better coupons out there to make this free or better.
The ad says it's good on 6.4 ounce Colgate or 4.6 ounce Children's, or children's or Plus Toothbrushes. So specific varieties are mentioned.
Does not say which ones. The ad shows Cavity Protection for both adult and children's varieties. The only issue is the size, 6.4 for adult and 4.6 for children's, which will likely exclude some/many packages.
You should be able to get them free (or for a few pennies depending on price) if your RA rings up 0.00 and then .85cent........mine rings like that, but I have heard of some converted stores that ring half off.
i tried to use some of the bogo blinkies for the mars candy today....got shot down and asked "what store did you get this at? this is a STORE q---we dont accept store qs" i politely explained they were from smartsource, out of the blinkie machines and that walmart, walgreens, fred meyer, winco and albertsons have all accepted them without any problem, just enter the price of how much they are and they go threw without a problem........then the customer service person insisted i couldnt use them because they wouldnt scan because they were store qs...........i made them remove all 10 of the candy bars i had and settled for my ONE 2 pack of chef micheals dog food for .29 +tax
i will try again tomorrow....with just ONE coupon instead of 5
No-Go for me with the BOGO coupons :sad:
My store has always said BOGO with BOGO coupon = Free (confirmed this with manager about a year ago) until 2 weeks ago when new manager started. He was there when I tried to buy my candy bars yesterday and kinda rudely stated that I was using my coupons incorrectly. I told him that had been the policy for a VERY long time and he said he's there now and it wasnt like that any more. He also gave me quite a bit of hassle last week with the Quattro deal saying I shouldnt be allowed to use 2 coupons for BOGO sale since I was only paying for 1.
I am still debating on if I will end my RA shopping. Not many people shop our RA so I can usually find everything I want but its no fun if you have to fight :sad:
I bet I looked like a crazy woman arguing over free candy bars. I didnt even try pulling out my 5/25 for my other items. He would have probably called the Po-Po......LOL
This is the first time I've used BOGO coupons on a BOGO sale at Rite Aid (or anywhere, I think). I did it first yesterday and it rang up just fine. I did it again today with several more coupons and the cashier did something wrong so that it rang up way higher than it should have. Go figure that the store was a deserted wasteland when I got there, but as soon as I got to the register with my coupons, people from out of nowhere lined up behind me. The whole transaction had to be voided. They moved me to another register where that person rang it up and got it right. I scored big because I also got razors for .89 and a free Glade candle with overage since they were clearance priced at $1.75 and I had a $2 MQ. Total for 30 candies, a Glade candle and the Noxema razors was $1.74.
Even though the transaction went wonky at first, the people in my Rite Aid were really good about working with it until it went through. I know sometimes workers get confused about things and instead of problem solving they'll just blow you off with a "you can't do that." I really appreciate my store working so hard to figure it out, especially since it was my first time with that kind of transaction as well. Yay free candy.
I went for my first Rite-Aid run a couple of days ago...didn't get the Complete contact solution 'cause it was already gone, so I got a RC for that and hope it is there before the end of the week though. Anyway, I got the Noxzema razors w/ .11 overage and 18 candy bars free and I bought some Shout (had a Q for this and needed some desperately!) I paid $4.xx OOP for all of this. The cashier and manager were really nice and helpful, I was afraid my coupons were going to blow away though before she got them all rung in 'cause there was a fan right behind the checkout blowing on the cashier. I had to give her back a couple that were blowing back my way! lol! But, it went real well I thought for my first time there, I hope to get there again this week but not sure if I will. I will call to see if the contact stuff came in first 'cause it's too far of a drive to come back empty handed!
Happy Shopping! ;)
My trip wasn't a complete bust, but only got transferred script instead of the deals planned. The Colgate MQs don't match up with $.99 sale and the store didn't have $2.50 Reach toothbrush in singles, just double packs. Didn't want to push my luck with BOGO Mars candy since all the clerks were super helpful.
If anyone gets a script for Advair, ask your doc about coupons. She had a package that said "free first prescription." I transferred the script Target was holding, used the free Q from doc and the $25 Rite Aid Q from this Sunday's insert. FREE med that's originally priced at $167 plus $25 GC! Can't complain. :)
This was my first time shopping at Rite Aid (nothing really at CVS/Wags so I decided to expand my horizons). It seemed to be a good week. I made two trips so as to maximize the $5/25 Q. I got all of the free after SCR deals, the cashier was very helpful and was excited that I was getting such a great deal with Qs. She had no issues with me getting 16 free candy bars between the B1G1 store promo and the B1G1 MQ from inserts. It was a pleasant departure from some of the eye rolls and "you can't do that" I typically get at Wags and CVS.
So I am looking at next week (thanks for the sneek peek) yet I really don't see much. So my question is (for those who are regular Rite Aiders).....was this week typical? Or is next week typical? I guess I was a bit disappointed when looking at next week's ad. And perhaps I was lucky to find everything in stock (maybe no shelf clearers in my area) and such a helpful clerk. The store was eerily quiet.
Thanks. Next week seemed like a dud of a week for me anyways.....my stockpile is well stocked so if it aint free or close to it, I'll wait until it is. And a week off from one store is just fine with me as juggling CVS, Wags, RA, Target and Publix is too much anyway. It's nice to know that with RA, skipping a week or two won't jeopordize my savings....no register rewards or Extra Care Bucks to expire.
I found this blinkie at Shaws in ME and it is up to $1 but in our Hannaford stores they are up to .85. I was given a hard time at first on using it with a BOGO. I was told it was double dipping. The manager I go to when I have issues came out and said " sorry I can't do it it's double dipping. I can't let you do it you're not going to win on this one." I explained how the BOGO worked and that all the other stores would let me do it. I put them away and went to the bathroom before leaving to go to work. As I was walking out the door he said " Well maybe you have a point. I'll call the district manager." I said I needed to be at work but I'd check back in a couple hours later. When I went back I was told it was okay to do it. He said I wasn't going to win. HA HA HA !!!!
I called to ask this question as well yesterday. (Not because I was angry about the candy, but so I would know for the future.) I had used BOGO coupons a couple of weeks ago with no trouble. I was told also that it was allowed and that there should not be a variation between stores on it. My guess is that there is not a clear policy on it and people just do what they think is right. :shrug7:I think with jobs being a bit harder to find right now, no-one wants to get in any trouble by doing the wrong thing.
I went to a very coupon friendly RA store this morning and picked out 8 Dove single chocolate. My BOGO blinkies from local Safeway have picuture of them. Somehow, the register kept on beeping because no item was found. The manager later gave me .85X4 in cash. I wish I'd tried with some M & M to find out whether the q's could have worked for other kinds of candies. Well, this is it for this week. BTW, RA stores have very limited Aveeno sunblock stock. I need to buy my 3rd one sometime this week at another store.
I was at my Rite Aid today using a Mars BOGO Coupon on 2 snickers. The casheir accepted the BOGO coupons without questions asked.
Overheard another casher reminding him that "the BOGO coupon max value is .85". This tells me he knows the coupon too well, I guess alot of customers are bringing them in and they are just honoring it.
Thus, we get 2 free Candy Bars with their BOGO sale and the BOGO Coupon. I guess Rite Aid is in such poor financial condition, they are just taking any coupon to make a sale and will get reimburse from the manufacturer.
Before, they would refuse to accept a BOGO coupon with their BOGO sale.
I'm going back tomorrow with my stash of coupons. lol
I'm just wondering if this could be right.
In this weeks ad there is a $2/1 RA Visine coupon.
In the 3-15 RP there is a $3/1 Visine A or AC coupon (exp. 6-30-09)
The Visine AC is $4.99.
So free after both coupons with possible $.01 overage YMMV.
Visine is a participating brand for SCR #40, get $10 back when you spend $25 or more on Johnson & Johnson products.
Could I do this 6 different times (since the RA coupon is limit 1) to get the rebate for a $10MM?
$4.99 X 6= $29.94 gets you over $25 needed for SCR #40
- $2.00 X 6= $12.00 RA coupons
- $3.00 X 6= $18.00 Man. coupons
- $10.00 SCR #40
$29.94 - $12.00= $17.94 - $18.00= +.06 - $10.00= + $10.06
The problem I see with this is that the RA coupon is for original regular visine and the MQ is for visine A/AC so this would not work unless you found a coupon that said any visine and without looking in the DB I'm not sure if there is one.
My BOGO Mars Blinkies beeped too. I had 10 coupons and since they were beeping and they didn't want to manually enter it she told me it was because it says "once coupon per perchase" I didn't want to argue since I was running late so I left using one coupon. Went to another one and had no problems, cashier entered it manually (it beeped). Just across the street is a SW and they had some blinkies.
