Just in case you hadn't noticed, I'll be your mod for the Albertsons Dallas/Fort Worth forum.

Feel free to post or PM any ideas, suggestions or complaints about the forum.

We've been without a leader since Grandma Lewis so I'd like to tidy things up and make everyone feel at home!

She came out of retirement IRL so she had to reorganize her priorities here.

Welcome aboard... :) What happened to Grandma Lewis?

Want to know the truth?????

It was Divine intervention!!!!!

Grandpa Lewis' hours were cut drastically in March, but I wasn't worried...I knew something would change. It had to change. I didn't really think God would let us suffer for too long. There had to be something in the works.

Before Grandpa ever got the first paycheck with the reduced hours, I got a call from someone I had sent a resume to probably about 10 years ago. He called to see if I knew anyone who might be looking for a job. Well it was right up my alley so I sent him an updated resume, I interviewed the next day, accepted the position the second day and started work on the third day. It all happened so fast it made my head spin. :hectic1:It turns out that the gentleman who had kept my resume all these years was the chairman of the board.

I hadn't worked in 8 years and I was told a few years ago that I was unemployable because I didn't have recent work experience. I believed the recruiter who told me that, so I never even tried to get another job. Guess he was wrong! :hysterical:

What a pleasant surprise to find a company who valued what I had been doing these last eight years (raising my grandbabies) and believed that still I had something to offer.

This job has been a blessing in many ways. I am thrilled to be there but I feel bad about abandoning you all, especially with no notice but I knew with a new job, I would be working every night just trying to get acquainted with my new position and I couldn't keep up here too.

I am grateful to CynthiaButterfly for taking over. She will be a terrific mod. She would spot deals that I missed. So ya'll give her the same great support that you showed to me. And thank you for allowing me to serve you for the short time that I did.

P.S.
Before I ever got my first paycheck at the new job, Grandpa Lewis' hours were restored. If the Chairman had called without the cut in hours, I might not have taken the job.....that's why I say it was Divine Intervention. Without God intervening, I wouldn't be working. :BigHand:

TY, Grandma Lewis, for serving as Mod but more so, for reminding us all to thank God for His providential hand in our lives. Bless you.

TY, Cynthiabutterfly, for stepping up to serve!
