Cincinnati Enquirer ~ Price of Newspapers

I called the Cincinnati Enquirer to inquire about where the Sunday paper is on sale. It rotates between different chains. UDF sold it for $1.25 in April and Kroger in May. I'll post back when I find out who will have it on sale in June unless some one else knows.

Down here, in Houston, TX, there is a 99 Cents Only store chain that sells Sunday papers for .99. We are moving to Cincinnati next weekend, so I was hoping to find something similar. It really adds up, when papers are $1.75.

Walgreens... I went in last week to get some Sunday papers and she said that they were going to be .50 each for the month of June.

You may want to call a Walgreens near you and see how much they are..

I believe it is Kroger this month, don't quote me on it. I have been trading for inserts and have not bought them myself in the last couple of weeks.

Thanks, I called Walgreens and they said the daily paper was 50c but the Sunday was $1.50.

Also called Kroger and they said they were $1.25 for Sunday.

UDF: $1.75

For everyone in the West Chester area Discount Drug Mart on Tylersville has the Enquirer for $.99.

Its nice that the cincy paper does discounts. I know the Dayton paper (which I deliver as well as the local paper here) never gives disounts. I have 3 stores that I "sell" the Sunday papers too. They cost the stores 1.685 per paper and of course they sell them for 1.75 (I actually pay roughly 1.30 for them and get to keep the profits) (Thank heavens they only want the covers for returns - coupons are mine) and of course I get credit for them. The Columbus paper is available here and its the same price (I think) Just lucky most the time my Sunday papers fly off the shelf.

Sadly, they are no longer on sale here. I think the Enquirer has stopped discounting. :(

I live south of dayton and north of cincy. I can't find one of their sunday papers for under $1.75. ouch.

Kroger has it for $1.25. I'm not sure if it will be for the month of January. It has been for the last two weeks. There is usually a rotation between Kroger, UDF and Shell.
