This weeks ad is not good, it's mostly store brand items on sale. There's no buy this amount and get so much off. When does everyone get the ad? I found out I can start getting it on Sundays.

Ummm, good question. My ad usually comes wednesday to my mailbox, and it comes in like a little mini paper. Sunday i went to a gas station to get more for the doubles and it was this weeks ad. I was bummed(no more doubles) but was happy that it was a new ad. So now I know when to get it early and can plan a few days in advance.

Isn't it ironic that they will let you get the free Capri Sun on the purchase of the second Mac & Cheese? Albertsons corporate policy is to not allow 2 coupons on a BOGO deal because they say you are not "buying" the 2nd item. Yet they will let me get a free Capri Sun based off the 2nd Mac that I am not "buying"?

In my ad, under this deal, it states:

*Coupon for Free Capri Sun Sunrise (10pk, 6.75oz pouches, Select Varieties) are located on the 5pk Mac & Cheese packages while supplies last.

So...it doesn't look like there will be a cat for these or an automatic deal. Bummer!

When I was at Albies today my coupons would beep after the 6th like coupon. It said, "coupons exceed price" or something to that effect. I had multiples of the $1.50 kraft dressing coupons. She had to get a key to manually enter the coupons.

It did the same thing with the $2.00 chinet coupons. I asked her if they are starting to limit the number of like coupons per transaction and she said "Yes" She said it was to make it "easier for the cashiers" Um...scanning a coupon doesn't take anymore time than scanning a product? Or someone buying their $200.00 worth of weekly groceries. When I said something to that effect she said, "yeah, but THEY don't use coupons." :shrug7:

Has anyone else ran into this? She said it was a new corporate policy. I told her if that was the case they had better put it in the ad or put a sign up. Seems stupid to me. IF we buy 20 items and have 20 coupons, it isn't any different that someone having 40 items and NO coupons. :banghead:

I think this happened to me, last wenesday it said i exceed coupons on something, and I couldn't figure out why, but it must be I used too many in a transaction? Its weird! I agree they need to have signage! Just like when they stoped taking comp Q's and nothing was posted!!

I have had the register start beeping when I have used tons of coupons correctly. The manager just flicks the key and keeps going. I think it is a precaution against people double dipping their coupons. I have not ever been limited in the number of coupons I am allowed to use.

I haven't had the beeping issue, but for a while, the cashier has to have a manager key to finalize my total after coupons. They always do, but it's kind of a pain. They said it's because of the total amount of savings vs. the subtotal. I noticed that they don't have to do this when I pay with a gift card, which seems really weird to me. I know I already paid them for the GC, but the coupons affect how much I can get with the GC, kwim?

As for not taking b&w printed coupons (another post) - Safeway had a policy that they would only take 1 like printable at a time - supposedly to prevent copied coupons. I think they finally got the idea that a.) each coupon has a unique ID number (and if you use 2 or more at a time, a shopper can show that to the cashier); and b.) there are such things as color copiers (duh); and c.) limiting to 1 per transaction doesn't prevent someone from using an original printed coupon on Sunday, and using copies every day from Monday thru Saturday. I have noticed that neither of my Safeways have this policy anymore. Anytime I've had a problem with Albertsons regarding printables, I've called the store manager first, and emailed corporate using the link on their website. It's always been resolved very well, partly because I think the managers understand that we're not upset because we want to defraud them, but because we're honest and being unfairly penalized. I hope that continues.

I saw peelies on the cheese for free Salad Finishers.

I saw those, too. It's a different exp date, but the same p.o. box as the TMF in the inserts a while back. Says one per household, so we probably can't take advantage of both offers.
There are also $1/1 coupons for them.

My ad is finally up, but it's too late for me to do matchups tonight. The Nestle deal isn't in my ad, either.

I've got family coming from out of state on Friday, so that has me pretty busy this week getting ready. We're all going out of town this coming weekend, so I'll try to leave you in another mod's capable hands. Luckily, this looks like a pretty dull week, except for end of May coupons.

At my Albies this week, I had the beeping problem and the cashier was muttering about too many coupons, but the manager had already told her to override something else, so she just kept going. She wasn't going to take my .75 off any wild harvest yogurt because the yogurt was .50. I asked her if she could adjust the price of the coupon down, she told me she couldn't do that, and the manager checking right behind me leaned over and asked the problem, and told her to just override it. I was glad because it was the one cashier who gives me problems, and I'm not nearly as hard core as some of you :)

If that b&w thing is true, I'm going to be in big trouble! Haven't heard anything about it so far, but if the computers are crying about too many coupons (which should be posted if they want to actually do anything about it), then I guess they could do that. How ridiculous though!

I called Corp two weeks ago to verify the policy, since I am so new to couponing. At the time the lady read the policy to me stating we could use up to 75 coupons per transaction. That's a lot of coupons! Haven't had any problems with printables at Albies but had some with Safeway y'day (diff post).

Anyway, back to the topic.... I went out on the website for adds this week with Albies.....YUCK! The majority of the adds are for the brands.

I did notice a lot of red tags and unadvertised specials in my local store y'day too. I might just take my coupons and go red tag shopping. :salesads:

Lots of freebies again. I have bought several Lawrys salts today on sale for $1 each and using .50/1 Lawry's seasonings, doubled = FREE....

Just stopped home to drop off my trunk load and going out for more shopping. Seems the cashiers didn't even see these coming, This morning had a cashier scan over the coupons like they were fraudulent. She was so curious as to where I got them. Thankfully, I had an Oregonian in my cart and was able to show her. Cute little thing was all confused :hysterical:

My store had goldfish $1.25 each. They had peelies on them for $1/2 flavor balsted variety. So withthe doubler it was 2 bags for $0.50. My kids were happy about that.
Also found that the planters cocktail peanuts were still $2 so free withthe $1/1 IP and doubler, Toasted ritz or what thins were $2 so free with the $1/1 IP and doubler, Tree Top 3 pack was $1, got 2 and used the $1/2 with the doubler. The easy mac cups were still $1 so still free with the $1/2 IP and doubler. It was a lot of the same stuff. Am I the only one who could use a little variety?! Even Target had free kraft mayo (on sale for $1.99, used the $1/1 Target IP and the $1/1 Kraft IP). I could use some popsicles, laundry detergent and dryer sheets please!
