I am brand new to couponing, but i have spent a lot of time reading here and made my list and shopped today with my "plan". Everything went fine except one item....

Ingles had their crystal light BOGO (or 2 for 3.28). I had a coupon that was $2.00 of when you buy 2 or more crystal lights. They would not accept the coupon, and the reason was "we do not accept coupons for over $1.00. I was really sweet and naive and said I am trying to learn to coupon, and would really appreicate a copy of their coupon policy so i don't make these mistakes again, so they gave me a copy. I can not find anywhere on their policy where there is a limit to the value of the coupon.

am i missing something?

No you're not, they were wrong. Call the store Monday and talk to the Store Manager. That was a cashier making up the rules as she goes. There was something that was gonna cause her to do more work so she made up the rules. In my experience with Ingles this is common but I hope it is not for your Ingles.

The cashier lied. I have used many q's there in the past for $3.00 off vitamins etc. I hope you had her take the item off your order. Sorry you had issues. I usually go to self checkout at Ingles so I don't have to deal with any nuts:rolleyes24:

just an update on this....the store manager told me that they will not longer take coupons printed from the internet, even if i get them from the Ingles site. I'm going to shop at Publix. :)

DH said he saw a sign at our local Ingles that said they will not accept IPs either.

My local store will take IPs...up to 2 per item per day but NO FREE IPs. I haven't been there in 2 weeks, but I always check each time I go because the rules can change every day with every manager, as we all know.
