Can anyone give an update on the Greenville, NC Kroger? Do they still have their super unfriendly coupon policy? I haven't been back in many moons...and I'd like to get a few deals they have this week, but don't want to waste me time just to get 3 or 4 items.

So to answer my own question...I went to Kroger in Greenville today and used 3 $1/1 Country Time coupons and 3 $.50/1 Weber Grill Seasoning coupons and the cashier didn't bat an eye. I didn't ask if it was okay, so take what you will from it.

...and by the way, the Country Time Lemonade mix is on sale for $1 until 5/30.

So I went in to grab a couple of things today and was asked "are any of you coupons for free items?" I said "I don't have any coupons that say free item" and she said "do you have any that will double to make them free?" What on earth??? I am an honest person. So I told her that the Green Giant vegetable ones would. She didn't say anything else about what she was doing but when I looked at my receipt later it looks like she made it override the doubling. So, my veggies weren't free. BOO! What fun is doubling if they won't let you do it?

katncaed - Sorry. I should have specified. Yes, it was the Greenville Kroger. Apparently they have gone coupon crazy again.

That's nuts.
Whether a coupon makes an item free shouldn't make any difference to them at all! .50 is the most that comes out of the store's coffers. That is very customer unfriendly - they should be happy when a customer saves money, but instead they want to make sure don't save too much!

I don't shop in Greenville, but my Kroger in Apex not long ago started limiting to 3 like coupons. If they pull this kind of nonsense, I don't think I'll want to shop there at all.
There is nothing like coupon-unfriendliness to keep me away from a store.
I find enough deals at HT, Lowes and FL that I don't depend on Kroger anyway.
