1. They're no longer taking Walgreens RRs (or so last night's cashier claimed).
2. They can't seem to decide what their coupon policies are. See #1, and the rumors swirling that they're not going to triple any more, and all the problems everyone has been having that are posted in this forum. I know what my budget is, and I need to know what their coupon policy is in order to make my budget work. I can't get to the store and find out it's going to cost me an extra $25 today because they have a new "rule."
3. Those Kraft BBQ peelies. Let me tell you what happened last Friday. I go to the store, where the Kraft BBQ is on sale 10/$10. I load some up in my cart, take off the peelies to go check out at the self checkout. I start scanning, and the grocery manager literally comes running from aisle to tell the clerk "THOSE AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE TRIPLING!!!" and then they all run over to look at my screen. Okay, first of all, stop acting like I'm commiting a crime and drawing all this attention to me. It's your computer that's tripling them, not me. Second, I think we all remember a few weeks ago when the BBQ sauce was on sale for $1.xx (I can't remember the cents), and the Albertson's ad actually advertised that it was $.xx ($1.xx minus $1.05) after the in-store peelie tripled. So clearly those coupons ARE supposed to triple, and now you're just embarassing both of us (me, because you're treating me like a thief, and you, because you're acting like an idiot over $.70). To make this story even more ridiculous, the grocery manager then went back and peeled every single peelie off every single Kraft BBQ sauce on the shelf and the special display back by the meat counter/freezer. I'm not kidding -- go to the store at Coit & Arapaho in DFW to check it out (it actually ripped off part of the labels at the top of the bottle). RIDICULOUS. Thanks, I'll just take my coupons over to Kroger, where it's on sale for $1 this week and they don't act like lunatics about it.
4. Okay, I know this was only supposed to be 3 reasons, but let's talk about those ridiculously outrageous prices. Who are they kidding. And their B1G1 sales? Last night I looked at their B1G1 pre-seasoned pork chops. The regular pork chops were around $4.50 or $5 for a pack of 3. The pre-seasoned, B1G1 pork chops were around $12 for a similar sized pack of 3. What are they seasoned with -- gold? That's some pretty darn expensive seasoning. B1G1 my you know what... I really have no idea who shops there at regular prices, but you'd think that huge margin they're making would allow them to eat $.70 on BBQ sauce every once in a while. Geez.
5. And one more: I am still good and ticked off about the way they treated this girl in Denton. http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/albertsons-dallas-ft-worth-region/226586-gotta-vent-horrible-albertsons-experience.html
So adios Albertsons! I live within 5 miles of a Kroger, Tom Thumb, Sprouts, Natural Grocers, Central Market, Wal-mart Neighborhood Market, Super Walmart, Super Target, and Whole Foods. I'm cutting the cord.:wavehi:
