I have some to share but I want to make sure I'm not breaking any HCW rules. I know in the HT forum they have to enforce the '1 trip per day' thing and we can get warnings for posting any differently. The picture I took of my haul today does not follow Bloom's '1 trip per day' rule...

Ditto. My Bloom managers encouraged coming as much as possible. (I think they need the business.:shrug7:

Anywho..... I've gotten $300 worth of grocery for about $4 thanks to all of you.:thanks7:
My pantries and kitchen were empty before all of my triple shopping, and now I'm all set for my summer here in VA.

I wish we had these opportunities in Tennessee.

yes!!! they I went into the negative with all my coupons and they gave me money. I asked the cashier are you sure you can do that? I didn't know that was in your policy; and she said yes.

Wow. I was rung up by the Store Manager yesterday (they were super-busy and obviously understaffed for the event). It was pretty funny b/c apparently he hadn't had to run a register in over a year (since before they started having triple coupon events). When he finished scanning all my coupons he said my total was $0.37. Nope, it was NEGATIVE $0.37. He looked a little confused so I grabbed one of the super-cute reusable shopping bags to bring it back positive (paid $0.70). LOL

My totals for today and yesterday:
OOP: 4.49
SAVED: 185.12 or 98%.
I'm done for this round. I only have 1 or 2 things left to get but I guess I'll wait till next month (assuming there is going to be a triples again).

At my Bloom (in NC), they wouldn't do that for me. My total was -$0.28, and she said she couldn't actually give me money, so I had to add a filler. I got a Payday candy bar and paid $0.6x. Still not bad!

Please don't intentionally go negative. That just draws the overages to the store's attention. We've lost overages at Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods. Please don't expect the store to give you money back. I'm afraid that in the long run, that will hurt us all. (Off my soapbox now.)

I agree. I did not know I was going to go negative - I had my transaction planned out and did the math and was supposed to be paying. Still not sure what happened. But I would never expect them to hand me money back. I actually got so low at last HT triples that they couldn't get my last 2 coupons to go through b/c it would have put me negative. The cashier asked if I wanted to get them to override it anyway *b/c then he could give me money back*. I said no, I was very happy to only be paying pennies for all the stuff I was getting. :)

I've experienced overages. The clerk's sometimes think THEY made a mistake when it was not them at all. Their solution is to call the manager. Once my manager got there, they just told me I had to buy some more items up to the value of the overage.

On another trip months later. I was about -.48 so I just reached back and grabbed a candy bar.

you get overage when an items SALE price is less than the coupons tripled value....for example...the hormel completes were on sale for $2 a piece..the 0.75 coupon triples to 2.25...that's 0.25 overage

I have probably a silly question. Do they triple their catalina? Or is just face value? Thanks!

The same rules apply as regular coupons. Check the barcode. If it starts with a 5, it will triple.

Totally agree!:BigHand: I always add stuff to cover my overage....stuff that we need which either don't have coupons or are too expensive. For example, today I had quite a bit of overage from the Eggo, Edge shave gel, Lysol and Kraft deals, so I added the big bag of Tyson's chicken nuggets that cost $6.99 (isn't it funny they don't carry the boxed regular nuggets which is much cheaper!) as well as some veal, Red Baron singles, butter etc. I just managed to avoid going negative...........my total including tax was 1 cent!!!! And, I got the $3 Kraft catalina back! Usually I don't cut it so fine, but I was too lazy to do the math in the store:) Talk about lucky, lol!

The cashier told me there was someone earlier in the day who they actually gave $4 in cash to since he/she had gone negative! I know it's a thrill (especially for newbies.....imagine getting cash back on the spot for your groceries!) but in the long run I would really recommend to everyone to avoid such situations since it could lead to the end of o/age as happened with HT...

okay I went yesterday and my total was in the negative again...so the manager walked by and told him he couldn't give money back so instead of saying anything (I didn't want to get the women in trouble) I just told the cashier " no problem, I will just add things to my purchase so I will no longer be in the negative". He was fine with that, and I was negative .01 when finished. So I still didn't pay anything out of pocket. It was a good deal still!!!

I didn't intend to go negative either.. I was planning on my total being $3.xx. I have no idea actually how I got into the negative, or else I'd have added something else to my total before I got to the register! :shrug7:

ETS: Well, I know what some of that was. I was only buying 1 Kraft BBQ, but then I realized that I had a second Q in the back of my coupon holder, and went back to grab another one. I shouldn't have been in the negative, but didn't remember at the time that the extra BBQ would give overage.

You all make me want to go back. I went on Friday and I had a sleepy daughter and I had to buy some vegetarian food for some people coming over for lunch the next day. I also bought a few things that were just a great deal like the Minute Maid juice and grapes. I used most of my .75 cents bbq sauce coupons as HT when they were buy 2 get 3. But I did get a few .35 cent q's from the bottles which still made it free.

My best order was Claussen, they are on sale but my store didn't have them marked. I would have bought them anyway. My hubby is an addict! In the orders I ended up with 6 jars total for just $4.32 that included tax. Not free but for me this was great considering we normally pay $3.49 per jar.
