I went yesterday and bought a bunch of BOGO stuff like the Bagelfuls,Quaker rice snacks and had no problems at all. I went today again and got 4 more bags of Quaker snacks BOGO and had no problems using 4 MFQ.In Port Saint Lucie, FLorida
The problem is my sis in Miami was NOT allowed to use 8 MFQ for 8 Bagelfuls. She had a shopping cart full of other stuff. The cashier was upset and told her " You cant use MFQ on a free item" My sister asked to speak to a manager and the cashier jumps in before my sis opens her mouth...tells the manager " she is trying to use a coupon on a free item, right you can't do that?" The manager seemed confused while my sister explained
$2.99 Bagelfuls
$0.00 Bagelfuls
----------------
$2.99
-$1.00 MFQ
-$1.00 MFQ
---------------
.99 OOP
Albertsons gets back $2 plus .16 cents handling fee so $3.15 total instead of $2.99.
The manager still agreed with the cashier . My sis had a bunch of BOGO stuff and had to leave it all :rolleyes24: . It can be sooo frustrating!

I always use MQ's on bogo items at SuperOne and Cub...sometimes walgreens but the older ladies always try and stop me. so I just take them back and tell them i will go to another store (where they do in fact let me do it).
The other day I went to cub and used the Hillshire coupons on the hillshire meats that were already free with the purchase of coke products. They weren't even bogo, they were just flat out free and they still took my couon.
The machines should take them because the item was scanned into the system. I would have told her to scan it and see if it works. Then when it did work say "oop I guess I get to use the coupon!" LOL
I usually scan the checkouts too....to find a cashier that doesn't look 'picky'

I purchased some of the Bagelfuls & Quaker Rice cakes as well & was checked out by a customer service manager who took two coupons for each item no problem. She said as long as the coupon value of both coupons doesn't exceed the price of the item it's legitimate coupon usage.
The coupons scanned fine without any beeping. I do know that at Albertson's that the registers do beep if the coupon is for more than the item costs.

I use 2 q's on a BOGO no problem. And yes, Albertsons machines do beep if the price is less than the q. One of my stores will price adjust the q and one will not. The one that won't said her District Manager said they can't do it. I don't know if both stores have the same District Manager or not.

It might be the liberty City one because she lives in Opa Locka...not sure .
She just told me something else the cashier did that was WRONG!
My sister said " I will call customer service and find out what the true coupon policy is regarding BOGO sales" The cashier took the receipt and ripped off the top part that says store number and manager name and then handed it over to my sister! My sister was pretty blunt by this point and told the cashier " I shop here every week and I keep my receipts so what you just did ,ripping the store number off the receipt is not going to work because I know the store number and the manager name and I got your name too" I think they should give her the bagelfuls when she goes back even if the sale is over because it was totally their fault that she couldnt get her items.
This really gets me mad and I'm sure she was fuming! But she is not the type to give up so she will return until they get it into their thick heads.

That's my store and I don't care for them. I haven't been able to use two q's on BOGOs there.

WOW. Can't believe she had the nerve to rip off the store number and manager name. WOW. I hope your sister tells District what she did.

Oh yes she told them what the cashier did. I just thought tha twas crazy for the cashier to rip off that part of the receipt lol.
She hates that Albertsons but has no other choice really. It's the only one near her.Between working fulltime and night school she still manages to go right after work or after school. All that and the hassles she gets!
They NEED to learn the policy.

Its no wonder that Publix is killing Albertsons in sales in Fl. Albies customer service get worse every time I go in. I have been given different answers about using 2 qs on bogos every time I go in. I have also been told I may NOT use a store q and and a manu q on one item.

It's everywhere, even Publix. I called this weekend and asked specifically about Target coupons at Publix and today my cashier would not take them. I had to go to Customer Service, have them call a manager and get cash back.

When I lived in Port Saint Lucie, I loved my store. The one here in Valrico is OK - the cashiers are all nice and I always use multiple MQs on their BOGOs. Sometimes the register beeps and they adjust the price if over the amount. It's all about cashier training and management's example of customer service.
Every store is a crap shoot - I have about 4 or 5 different Publix stores near me and everyone is a little different in their coupon policy. Just comes down to training and how committed they are to good customer service.
Hope your sister gets a good response from Albertsons and I hope the store manager gets a call from corporate. She should let corporate know she regularly blogs on a major couponing site and will be reporting how they handle this on there. It may carry way more weight and urgency.
