Does anybody know if the 4/$ 10.00 already includes the $ 4.00 instant savings or would the $ 4.00 come off at the end so 4/$ 6.00?

In the past it has been in addition too, so 4/$6. But who knows anymore!! LOL!

need_coupon have you been having fun with your Jewel's too? At this point with the way I have been treated recently at the store and not having gotten at least some assurances from management at the store that this sort of incident would not happen again, I am quickly developing a nasty mood because of them.

At this point if the $4 didn't come off of the 4 for $10 and they didn't correct it, I would just have the items taken off and I would file a complaint with the State's Attorney's office for false advertising.

I told you they put me in a bad mood.:wink7: Part of my issue was that they did not know the state law regarding wine tags for hard liquor. DM addressed the issue and actually verified that there was such a law, but the SM seemed totally oblivious to this being discussed. I got my item exchanged in what I would consider not the friendliest of attitudes but at least I was able to get it exchanged. The ass mgr didn't even come down to talk to me and I never got an apology from the store level. It concerns me that without reassurances and clarification on how the store will handle coupons in the future I will have problems again. It's like that Quote for the movie Network. I'm mad as he!! and I'm not going to take it anymore.

They're crazy!! They're all crazy!! For the most part, I've had pretty good luck. The other times I get livid and then laugh it off (because what other choice do I have). I don't think any of them know what is going on now. I think they are all scared for their jobs. The previously happy employed there and now disgruntled employees. I think it is a chain of events. It has its effects and gets trickled down to us. I try just to take it as it comes. I have a feeling we haven't seen the worst yet. "whatever will be will be. the future is not ours to see..." I just try to take it as it comes.

Good luck though!!

I was talking with someone I know that works for Jewels. I was told that there are more changes coming. The impression I got was that the employees were not happy. I also got the impression that customers are not likely to be happy with the upcoming changes. I got the general impression that Jewel is going to loose both employees and customers.

i've been just as unhappy :( i feel like they treat couponers like the crap on the bottom of their shoe sometimes :( i've gotten alot pickier about which cashiers i"ll go to lately...

but it makes sense if they're getting wage cuts, etc. that they would be more hostile towards us since they think we're costing the store *rolling eyes*

I have really stayed away from Jewel lately. I've been having a love affair with Dominicks. They don't care about my expireds.

I did use them for their Preferred Card celebration coupon booklet. If I do use coupons, I go to self checkout.

I did have one incident where I was using the Fanta/Keebler coupons and the self checkout needed cashier approval for the 3rd coupon. At first she tried to tell me the "one per purchase spiel" but it worked out.

Regarding this deal, I wouldn't be surprised if the final total was 4/10. Good luck for all who try this!

Harmoni, the problem isn't the cashiers or even the people at the service desk. Well at least at my store. The problem is corporate and mgmt. From what I had happen that day everybody had to ask this one person what to do. Every time I was up toward front I could hear one or more person calling this one person to come over to okay something. The people at this store have always been super nice. They have been the only reason I still go to Jewel. It's corporate policy that I have not been happy with. The day I had that problem I was apologizing to the cashier because they were always nice to me and I knew it wasn't their fault but was mgmt decisions on how things were handled.

I told the DM that if I wanted Wal-Mart treatment I could have saved myself at least 1/2 mile walking and gone to Wal-Mart instead. :giggle2:

I'll answer my own question...I was there tonight, and it looked like most of the kinds that we have printables for are included in the sale. I remember Corn Pops, Apple Jacks, and Rice Krispies (regular and mult-grain Jumbo) for sure. There was some kind of shredded wheat included too, but I think it was the "big bites" kind. That's all I remember off the top of my head, in addition to the ones that are pictured.

There might be a problem with the Corn Pops, though. I did 2 transactions, one with 4 Raisin Bran and then one with 4 Corn Pops. The Raisin Bran went through fine, and but then the $4 didn't come off for the Corn Pops. The cashier said something about how it's probably because the 2 transactions were too close together on one card. I've never heard anything like that before. I pointed out that the ad didn't say anything about a per card limit, and she said that was true; I asked if she could take it off manually, and she said she'd try. She called over another lady, and after some discussion about exactly what cereals are included, the first cashier finally took it off manually. So, I don't know if the cashier's theory is right, or if the Corn Pops are somehow programmed wrong.

I saw froot loops, corn pops, rice krispies, frosted mini wheats big bites, and that would be all I remember(may be more) that wasn't already posted. Worked like a charm with the $1 coupons from kellogs for 4 boxes for $2. Going back later for more since I'll be that way.

I did two groups in one transaction: 4 boxes Kellogg's cereals with four $1/1 printables, and four boxes 12-ct. Pop-Tarts with two $1/2 Qs. $4 came off for each. 50 cents a box is a better deal than Dominick's/Safeway has this week since their only $1 cereal was Corn Flakes and I had no IP for Corn Flakes.

I bought Corn Pops yesterday and it worked fine - took of the $ 4.00 instantly. The size is the 12.5 oz. box. I know the Rice Krispies were tagged incorrectly at my store - it had the sale price under the 9 oz. box and when I went to SCO it did not deduct the $ 4.00 instantly - I went back to check the tag and it was supposed to be for the 12 oz. Rice Crispies.

The cashier is correct, while it doesn't state anything like this in the ad if you do too many transactions in a row the instants don't come off like they are supposed too and you need to either rotate cards or give it a little time in between orders. (this is only when doing instant deductions though)

Thanks for the info! That's what the younger cashier thought the problem was. Her supervisor said it was because the Corn Pops weren't included in the promo. I had to go back and show them that they were tagged on the shelf.
