are you getting credit for using reusable shopping bags?

I have not been lately and the store manager gave me a $1 to compensate for all the times I have not been credited.

I know it's a different store (I shop at Shaws & Price Chopper) & I never get credit, either. They have a sign posted at the registers that the customer can see, and a sign posted at the register for the cashier as a reminder. I always nicely remind them to credit me, I always get a dirty look (I get .03 a bag), they always say that they will, and they never do. I always check. I know I can go to customer service but I figure it's not worth my time to wait in line, especially when I almost always have frozen stuff.

If you don't have too many items go through the self checkout and you can take the bag credit yourself. Click on the produce lookup button and in the top left corner is a button to add a bag credit, press it once for each bag.

Wow! Thanks Mike, I had no idea you could do it that way.

I get credit maybe 70% of the time at Giant. I try to keep a lookout... if they forget, I try to mention it. Sometimes it's lost in the shuffle, though.

I use the self scan and the bag credit (through the produce page)...I use this on all of my orders which can sometimes be 10 or more bags...I haven't reached a limit yet on any order.

I just politely tell anyone who steps in line behind me that it will be awhile with a smile and show them my coupons.
Sometimes people stay in line because they are so interested in the coupons and the process. It makes me laugh...
