I just got back with my 20 Yoplait yogurts and am still scratching my head. I used 3- $.40 wyb 6 mq’s and they only gave me an additional $.38 off for each not the $.40 face value. When I questioned the cashier she said that the coupon can't be more than the item. I guess the system self adjusts? I guess that kinda makes sense for a 1 item q but it shouldn't be the case where multiple items must be purchased. I have to go back again on Sat for eggs, I may question the manager on it. Anyone else see this at any other stores in DFW? Perhaps it’s been happening at all along and I just noticed it.

I think it's been happening all along. I can't recall ever getting overage at Albertson's.

What she is saying is the coupon is off of 6, but the coupon only doubled to the amount of 2. It's only .02 but if you are buying alot, that can add up.
I've had this problem when the coupons are off of multiple items, instead of only one, like the register can't always recognize how much it's supposed to take off.

I think it's probably done this the whole time and I never paid attention. You're right it does add up when you're buying a lot. I understand it doing in on 1 item q and preventing an overage, I guess they’re just hoping that people who use coupons like this won’t care or even notice. Now that I know, I’ll just need to pay attention and point it out the cashier when it happens. Since it’s not truly an overage hopefully they’ll see it my way. The manager at the store by my house is really nice so he’ll probably do adjust it.
