Sorry I was gone for so long. I don't have any excuses for not updating the ads or making my presence here known. The only thing is I have been busy with life and this kinda took a backseat to it. I'm good to go now and re-energized. :)
Can't wait to see what kind of deals Kroger has this week! (Last week's seemed like a dud!) :smile77:

Life has a way of getting busy, particularly this time of year. I appreciate all the work you do for this forum. Thanks.

I posted this in my blog, but I would like to post it here.
Ok, once more... I'm greatly sorry that I have been absent so long.
We got really tight on money. I had to cancel my newspaper subscription. Coupons have been the furthest thing from my mind and it's been really tough to keep doing it when all I could think about was going to CVS or Kroger to buy stuff with the coupons.
While couponing was saving me money, it was not. What I mean was, I was buying stuff because they were super cheap... but they weren't things that I actually NEEDED to buy.
So I had to take a break from it. I had to separate myself from it all and just realize that while this is fun, it shouldn't become so addicting for me. So I stepped back, relaxed, and here I am again. :) Refreshed and ready to go at it.
I apologize to all the mods for just dropping off of the face of the Earth like that. I especially apologize to queenofthehivemomof5 for not doing my modly duties. :sad:And last, but not least, I apologize to the wonderful people at the Kroger Great Lakes forum for just leaving them high and dry. Especially after I had been absent before.
A few things have happened since my absence. Not too many folks on here know that I am a teacher (music ed) and that I've been subbing for the past year and a half. Also add to this that I'm hard of hearing (substantially deaf in one ear). I went to visit my family during the spring break and when I came back, my hearing had decreased a LOT. I could hardly hear and this was impacting my job and my mental health. I felt worthless that I couldn't hear and I got depressed over it. I am not one to really tweet (for those of you who follow me on twitter or facebook or whatever social medium) how depressed I am and I like to put on an air of confidence that I'm doing fine.
I wasn't. It got really depressing that I just couldn't function, so I went to the doctor. He said I had fluid behind my ears and to take Benadryl and Claritin D (both the good stuff that you have to get from behind the counter) at the same time as it could be caused by allergies. This worried me to take BOTH, so I took the antibiotics and Claritin-D. While this helped a little, it wasn't enough. I picked up a long term gig and I really needed my hearing back.
I went to the ENT who told me a lot of things that was essentially bull crap. :hectic1:One of those things being that my job was causing me to lose my hearing. Now, being a somewhat recent grad, and in music, this is NOT what I want to hear! (hurr hurr) I pressured him to give me SOMETHING that might fix my hearing and so he prescribed to me nasonex and clarinex to take every day. So far it's worked, but I am left with a buzz in my ear every time I or another being speaks in certain pitches.
While this does hinder me to a point, I feel like I'm getting better. I've gotten some job interviews, and the long term gig kept me extremely busy.
Now it's the summer. While I still may have interviews, I can come online way more.
Thanks to everyone for being patient and not giving me the boot while I've been gone. I really hope to become more of a presence here in the next couple of days.
:thanks7:
