Good service at Giant Eagle!

So I sent my husband to the store last night to buy a bag of shredded cheese for the pizza I was making... I gave him $4 to pay for it. He comes home with the cheese and tells me, "You didn't give me enough money so I had to use your 10% foodperks on the cheese."

I guess I should have specified to get the small bag of cheese, which would have been $2.50 or $3.00... but he got the bigger bag. So he used my 10% off at Giant Eagle to save 44 cents!! I almost killed him.

I called GE customer service and explained the situation, and they let me come back to the store with my receipt, pay the 44 cents, and they put the 10% foodperks back on my card. I was so happy! They were so nice about it, and now I don't have to kill my husband. :BigHand:

lol oh my ....i would have killed him also...the only thing that would saved him was the store doing that :)

OMG - I would have killed him!! That is wonderful to know they were so accomodating. We see so much bad CS that it really is nice when the good comes around - especially the really good - like this!

Yeah, is my DH and your DH related? I asked him to stop last night to get - 2 Breyers Ice Creams, 1 Head of Lettuce, 2 gallons of Milk, and 2 packs of Oreos. Gave him 2 Breyers Ice Cream and 2 Oreo wyb Milk coupons.

He came home with no lettuce, and 1 Breyers and 1 GE brand ice cream and everything else was ok. When I asked him why he only got 1 Breyers he said he wanted to try the GE one. Ok, so wheres the other ice cream coupon? "Oh, well when I scanned the 2nd one it came up invalid - but the lady came over and told me it took so I stuck it in the slot" he says.... Argghhh No I said, it didnt - you only bought 1 Breyers so you can only use ONE coupon! So he looks at me and said something about "Cant I just use two coupons on the one - you said something about doubling?" LOL

Then I find out he used the 5% food perks too. Saved a whole 2 dollars. I wanted to strangle him - not only did he basically throw away my 75 cent breyers coupon, he wasted 5% savings for 2$. But he did bring home a 1$ off any Post Trail Mix Crunch cat. Men....gotta love em :-) I think....hehe

My understanding is you can use a maximum of 20% on a purchase up to $300.00. So I guess no more than a $60.00 discount. I don't think I will ever spend enough in one trip to get the full $60.00!

you can use up to 20% at one time. I doubt I'll ever get that high since they only last 3 months but, with the 5% I earned and the 6% - 10% I plan on earning in the next 3 months by buying gas, I know I'll never get to 20% LOL
