First, wanted to say hey to everybody again, its been a while since I have logged in. My husband just found out today that we are moving to Maryland from California. I have no idea what stores are in Maryland and if any of them do double coupons. If anyone lives in maryland and can help me with this I would be much appreciated. This move is happening so fast, they want him at work there 2 weeks from yesterday.:mad37:
Thanks in advance

Yep, lots of doubling and some tripling. However, it depends where in Maryland you're moving. There's central MD (where I am) and we have Shoppers Food Warehouse, Super Fresh, Weis, Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, Bloom, Harris Teeter.... Each of these has a forum.

Shoppers - typically (does vary) double up to $.50, occasional doubles up to $1 or triples up to $.75 or triples up to $.50/doubles up to $1 (again, it varies, read the forum)

Giant Food (not Giant PA) - double up to $.99, occasionally has 4 - 5 store coupons for you to double to $1 a manuf q or triple up to $.75 a manuf q

Safeway - whichever way the wind is blowing. They were doubling up to $.99 but they've limited that to one of each coupon

Super Fresh - doubles up to $.99, occasional triples up to $.99 (4 alike, no IP)

Weis - typically double up to $.50

Harris Teeter - not sure of the doubling rules, occasional triples

Bloom - I believe they're regularly no doubles but occasional triples

Food Lion - no doubles or triples

There are also some IGA's around and some smaller chains (e.g. Mars). For the good q's, you need to buy the Baltimore Sun (e.g. the $2.50 Electrasol coupon).

Now if you're moving to western Maryland, southern Maryland or near Pennsy, there are other stores. Northern MD has most of the stores I've named and they're getting some Shop Rites.

Oh, and not too many stores take IP's. Giant does and most Safeways just started. Otherwise, we're not IP friendly.

This thread's a little old now, but I just found it and wanted to add that my Bloom (in Laurel/Scaggsville) has always taken my IP coupons and never complained. I asked if they planned on not taking them in the future because some stores are going to that, and a manager told me that they are always happy to take IPs and don't plan to stop. I don't know if this is a general rule or if I've just been lucky. Hth

I live in Maryland-no grocery stores in my area take ip's. Giant does double up to .99 and safeway but they have become very coupon unfriendly.
