I always fill these out but I have never heard of anyone actually winning. Have you ever won or do you know someone who has?

When I go to one of the stores near me, they sometimes announce that they have had some winners, but I never know if they are lying or not. I have never heard of anyone really winning though.

Me too. Never won and got tired of doing it. Always wondered if someone won though.

I used to fill out every single survey, but never have won anything... except phone calls from the store managers when I didn't give good comments.

Well, I guess its good to know someone is reading those comments. I have complained a few times (and praised on good trips) but have never received a phone call about anything.

I work at Meijer, and there have been a few winners, just none at my store. I have seen about 3 winners posted on the Meijer Team Members website (at least 3 might be more, don't check it often). IMO, it is worth it. If you have great service, please call and do the survey, it gives you a chance to win the $1000 gift card, and the team members actually get an incentive for good survey scores. Incentives = more happy team members that want to help. Feel free to leave comments, and include that you use coupons. If they notice more surveysf from you, a specific customer, and you keep on coming back because you don't have a hassle with coupons, they will continue to be strive to be great. If you had a bad experience, do the survey too, and be sure to let them know what happened and why, and include names if possible. I know the managers at my store listen and read every survey. It really is worth it in my opinion, it's just a few minutes of your time. :)

Well, Tinkleheimer, I can tell that you don't work at either of the Meijer stores I go to. The managers at mine couldn't care less if someone has a bad experience. Or a good one for that matter. I once ask to speak to a manager to tell him a good thing about an emplyee, but when he came to me he acted like I was completely distubing him. I mean, if I were the manager, I would want to know when an employee goes way above and beyond what they are supposed to do. When my son was 5 he got stuck in the bathroom stall. He has OCD and would never even dare to crawl on the floor of a bathroom. There wasn't enough room for me to go under, so a very lovely, very skinny lady came in and crawled on the dirty floor under the door to help him out. However, the manager didn't even tell her good job. Two years later, I still thank her whenever I see her.

Now THAT is customer service!!!! :BigHand: (not the manager, but the lady who crawled on the floor.)

Don't get me wrong, we do have a few managers like that (not the store director), but most of them are polite. The ones that are polite are usually the ones that care about customer service. The ones who are snobby are the workaholics who don't even care about customers, especially when they have stuff to do. My opinion as a manager is that the customer is most important, and everything in your power should be done to help them out.

I don't think I will be at Meijer much longer, I got offered a salary manager position at Steak n Shake and am probably going to take it, especially when my manager throws a hissyfit because I am thinking about leaving.

We had a Steak n Shake nearby close down. Our other one is looking pretty shaky too. I hope yours does better than up here in MI!

I apologize for bumping this thread and double posting, but to answer the question in the original post, I have won. I just got a letter today saying I won from surveys I did before and after I worked there. It couldn't have come at a better time. I found out last night that one of the cashiers I used to work with there passed away, leaving her husband and pre-teen daughter. I am going to give them $250 of it so they can have a good Christmas. I got to send in a release and some tax info and should be getting it soon. I will let you guys know when it happens. :)
