Lots of people have Purina weight circles on their wishlists. Here's the info on the program:
http://www.purinaproclub.com/public/tools/Weight_Circle_Program.asp
As a Pro Club member, you can clip weight circles from bags of participating Purina brand dog foods, send them in and earn Purina Points. Purina Points can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, including:
• Rebate checks good toward future purchases of Purina brand dog foods.
• Purina logo apparel and merchandise.
• Checks for veterinary services.
• Gift certificates for retail, restaurants and travel.

Lesley, thanks for the explanation!! I've been wondering what a weight circle was, and figured it must be some kind of exercise equipment for dogs! LOL, now I know what to look for.

Sara, you're very welcome. I had no clue either since I don't have any dogs. I thought that if I didn't know, surely there were others that didn't know either!!!!

Thanks for posting that PMFan. I got a notice the other day that they were going to be enforcing stricter rules on this due to the amount of people making fraudulent (as in not having 5 dogs or breeding) claims.
Please dont ruin a good thing people.

NOT HIJACKING THE THREAD........ please just accept this note:
I agree. This club is intended for those who breed and/or show dogs. It is not really intended to just get free stuff. The info from the program is highly valuable and I have been a member for over 6 years. The Science diet club and the pedigree club were both shut down after some freebie sites got hold of them.
Please...use this club if you truly use the product....not just to buy points from others to get free stuff.....I would hate to lose the publications and access to experts if they shut this one down too! :frown:

ok..I am really confused. Why do purina brand CAT food have weight circles on them? I foster cats and have been saving these for a while (not really sure why I save them) and when you click to apply it asks how many dogs you have. No mention of cats or the weight ciircles on the cat food bags.

You can give them a call at 1-877-776-2582. They are really nice there and the hours are 7AM to 5PM CT weekdays. Good luck.

THere is a program for CATS also..I just joined last month...I have 5 cats, and foster several others year-round...one of my own cats has a VERY sensitive stomach, and after 2 years of trying every food under the sun, we found purina cat chow is the ONLY food she can tolerate..everything else gives her diarhhea...2 years of searching/trying, and finally, for the last year she has been stable on this food..what a relief...I do collect the weight circles form ANY purina cat food..not just cat chow, but kitten chow, cat chow, kit and kaboodle, purina one, friskies, deli cat,etc..here is the link to the cat program..

I signed up for the cat food program several months ago. I have 5 cats of my own and feed another half-dozen stray and feral animals. I have only been a member long enough to earn (2) $6 checks. Boy, do they help a lot!
When I was a child (45+ years ago), my dad raised hunting dogs (mainly to hunt raccoons). There was a Purina Pro Club waaaaay back then. I was pretty young, but, I was in charge of keeping up with the weight circles and pretty much being the "bookkeeper" for my dad. He bred his "night champion" several times. Even back then, the pups went for $300 each. Forty-five years ago, that was BIG money. (It still makes me sit up and take notice even today!) I think the only time I've ever seen my dad cry was the day he had to have Queen put down due to cancer.

After I read your post I felt guilty for belonging to this. Even tho’ I had never cashed in on the weight circles. I do love getting the flyers they send! So I called the Purina number to cancel out of the program. The lady I talked with told me this program is for any breeder or dog ENTHUSIAST. No mention of the number of dogs. She told me I was welcome to remain in the program. She told me to dig out those weight circles and send them in! (I wonder how she knew I had been keeping them?)

I have five cats and they have been eating Purina One cat food, and Purina Fancy Feast canned food for five or so years now. I was so psyched about this but after I went to put my password in to join this thing it says ->>
Error Handler
Invalid MemberNo parameter.
Soo.. I don't know.. Has anyone else had this problem? I love Purina and would really like to join. I'm not sure why it doesn't let me though lol.

It could have just been a random site problem. Maybe try going through the sign up process again (maybe they've fixed it by now), and if you get the error again contact their website support team.
