I just got my ad for this week, and it says that there will be triples Saturday, April 18th only.

I haven't had time to look through the ad for any possible deals.

Thanks for the heads up!
Did anyone go to the McCalla two hour sale today? I couldn't go but thought it was strange to have a sale like that.:shrug7:

I went and it was neat. They had several items on sale that was only on from 4:30-6:30. They were giving balloons to the kids and had samples of chicken salad, ice cream, etc. They had Sara Lee deli ham 2.99/lb, regular 6.99. THat was a great deal. They had deli chicken salad 2.99 (may have been 3.99). Strawberries were 1.99 and 0.30/lb sweet potatoes. Southern Home ice cream was 2/3 and Bluebell 2/8. Southern Home ice cream cones were 0.50. There were some other things, but that is what I remembered. I talked to a manager and they said they would be doing it every Tuesday.

Thanks for letting us know. I hadn't even heard anything about it. You would think they would advertise it a little better.

I just happened to go in last Sunday and there were signs at the register. I think this is only the McCalla store. So, then it probably wouldn't be in the add. They may have just tried it out to see the response, but the manager did say they would be doing it every Tuesday. I think they are trying to be creative to stay open. One of the managers told me that if they didn't have a buyer by the end of the month, that store would close. I hope they don't. Really nice people work there and I would hate for that to happen as well as to lose our Food World.

I know, I love that store too. I went this morning and not many good deals-I wish they would have done triples last week(!)-I would have spent a little more (before q's of course:) I got my order over $35 so I could use a store cat I got a while back and ended up paying $8 which isn't bad but the sale this week was just blah!:rolleyes24:

I went today and scored big on mustard and TP, among other things. Got 6 bottles of mustard free and lots of great TP at a really cheap price. I was trying to get HN Cheerios at a great price, but they weren't part of the General Mills cereal sale. Boo. Guess I'll go to Publix tomorrow for that!!!

I went at 7 am this morning to make sure I got the flipz, some spam singles, some texas toast crutons, and some bbq sauce.
Forgot about the chili bowls. I miss something every time.
Hopefully we will get to play one more time. I am going to order some flipz q's and more mentos.

The manager at hueytown told me that they had a potential buyer and they should know something this week.

I hope they have a buyer. I would hate to have only walmart as my option. 2 other grocery stores have closed around me since wm opened.
