Kroger - rainchecks?

I just went back to Kroger to get more 5 cent pizza crusts and they were out. (They are on sale for $1.25, after a tripled 40 cent coupon they are $.05.) I went to customer service for a raincheck. I have never gotten a raincheck so I didn't know how they work... The CS clerk wrote me a raincheck for $1.25 and I asked if I would be able to use a triple coupon when I came back to buy it and he said no. I thought the point of the raincheck was to get the item for the price on the day you went to buy it? I want my 5 cent pizza crusts!

I know it's a bummer but that's the way it is. I have had the run out of the item the day my Q expires so I don't have a Q to use with the rain check unless another one comes out before the rain check expires. :sad:

Blah! The dude said I could keep checking back to see if they got more pizza crusts in stock before triple coupons was over... But seriously? That sucks. I have already been to Kroger twice in two days. How often should I be checking?

Call the store and ask when they get there trucks, that way you don't have to keep going everyday. (also ask about what time too, like morning, night, afternoon)
