I am hoping that someone knows more than I could figure out on this. I just got back from Albies, using double coupons. The first time through the line, I asked the checker if I could come back through his line with more coupons. I told him of a checker who, earlier that day at another store, told me I was going to ruin double coupons for everyone by using more than one set a day. :nono9: (Grrrr... that's for another time.) He told me that the checker must not be aware that Albies is signing paperwork to allow three doubles when you go shopping.
I tried to clarify but wasn't able to get a clear answer. It sounded like it could be one of two things:
1. Allowing three doubles every time you go shopping, without a coupon.
2. Allowing the same customer to take three orders through the same register at the same time, seperated.
The first option makes more sense because I can't see why Albies would need to be signing paperwork to make a procedural change like the second option.
Does anyone have anymore information on this? Please don't get too excited everyone- I could be TOTALLY off-based with this.

He may have just been referring to the fact that the last set of doublers had limit 3 noted on them in the fine print.

If I remember correctly the doubles before this past set specified four per trip, and one set per day. This most recent set said 3 per transaction, but not a limit per day. I don't see how they'd have to sign anything for either option. Maybe they have to sign that they won't let anyone use more than 3 in a shopping trip.

The last set actually said "Three double coupons per family per shopping trip" near the bottom of the fine print.

I guess we just have to wait and see... sigh. Its just that I don't see why they (Albertsons as a whole) would need to sign paperwork with someone else for this.
I'm dreaming of everyday doubles. :BigHand:

I had 2 cashiers the other day mention the signing of paperwork! They were telling me about how they couldn't adjust down the doubler by 1¢ to let me buy the quaker rice cakes. So I think they are all confused. Best to get the verbage from corp I guess.

I think it might have to do with US signing the paperwork. I had a checker tell me that they will soon connect the doublers with our phone number/shopper number, and once we had used the three doublers, we'd not be allowed to use them again...
...with that number. Suddenly I have a whole lot of cell phone numbers to sign up with! :hysterical:

Ha Ha Ha! Me, too! Honestly my card is from an old number we haven't had in around 5 years. I have at least three more numbers I can use.

I know this thread is old but your comment about adjusting the Quaker coupon made me post.
I had a checker who quite obviously hated coupons and those that use them. I casually mentioned that this Q would need to be adjusted down to 99c or there may be problems. She stops, sighs very loud, looks me in the eye after about an eternity and says "I know that!". So what does she do? Puts them all in at $1 and then owed me 2c. After a lot of sighs and hitting of buttons (I swear she could have broke some nails!), she calls for "the key" and tries to fix it that way. When she couldn't get it to 0c that way, she puts it all thru and lunges over to the change machine and grabs the 2c. It really was quite comical! :hysterical:
Just my 2c worth on that. :whistle67:

How dare you try to make two cents off of an order! Clearly, that called for launching herself across the register!

Alrighty, I got an answer today. At least at my Albies, the checkers signed paperwork allowing one customer to do three transactions in a row, using doubles on each.
For me, this is a good thing because they've made me take one transaction at a time through the registers before. It was sooo nice to do one run through the store for three sets of doubles- wahoo!

i was told by cashier today that she spent 2 hours ringing up one customer, who did 50 doubler transactions in a row. guess it depends on your store as to how many they let you do. i do 3 at a time no problem. now i see why i have no problem lol!

I was there today. The front end manager tols me of the new 3 rule as well. After that she told me that the loss prevention manager told all employees to disregard the rule and ring as many as a customer has. He would rather have all happy customers than 1 mad customer. I like their new level of customer sevice, however it just lends itself to abuse.:shrug7:

as an albies checker we are only supposed to take only 3 transactions in a row-
we signed off on this.
however,if we had a customer who really insisted on 4/5 in a row, we would probably do that.
as a rule we would rather try to stick to the 3 though.
as a couponer myself, i do stick to the 3, because it is rude to other customers and to the cashier.
other than that as long as the doubler doesnt state "no more than 3 doublers per family, per day" then it should be fine to do more than 1 set a day.
i know that i do. hehe
