I bet there's one next week - I don't really need any more batteries (I got a ton from CVS and GE the last time). But, my nephew and his 3 roommates at college may need some in the fall and if I can get them for free, all the better IMO

I am going to stock up on those coupons. With 4 little kids and a husband at home batteries are always in need!!

Thank you so much! So I'm assuming all package sizes are 1$ off, there's no specific size listed (like 4-AA or 16ct?)?
What are the cheapest Duracells at GE?

I checked today - the prices for the AA and AAA 8pks, C or D 4pks and 9v 2pk is $6.99 shelf. They will be on sale for $5.99.

ouch - that's not going to be a good deal. Maybe the 4 pks are cheaper

I'm pretty sure the 4pk (AA, AAA) and 2pk (C,D) and 1pk (9V) are $3.99 shelf. we would need 4 @ $3.99 = $15.96, less $6.00 (4 dbld $.75 Q's) = $9.96 (hopefully paid for partially with a previous Cat....) and get $5.00 OYNO. Assuming the 4pks are bought you would get 16 batteries for $9.96 OOP and $5.00 OYNO. Roughly $.62/battery. Rolling the Cat into another set would equal $4.96/16 batteries plus a new Cat. Add another set for a total of 48 batteries for $19.88 or about $.41/battery.
If we bought (3) $5.99 packs the total OOP would be $13.47 for 24 batteries and $5.00 OYNO. Roughly $.56/battery. Rolling the Cat into another set would equal $8.47/24 batteries. Roughly $.35/battery. Total for 48 batteries $21.94 or $.46/battery.
EDIT: I added another set to the first scenerio so we are comparing the total cost of 48 batteries. It is cheaper to buy the three transactions of (4) 4pks than it is to buy the 2 transactions of (3) 8pks.
The question now is $19.88 for 48 batteries (assuming the 4pks were purchased) really a good price? For me it isn't.

LMAO - thanks for all that. I guess I'm really cheap - I wanted the $3.99 batteries to be on sale for $2.99 so we'd pay .25 a pack like we did the other times.

oooo - I'd love for them to be on sale too!!! I'm too cheap for this too. I will probably just let my stock run lower until I find a bit better of a deal.

Now I don't know if I am right but....wouldn't u need to subtract a 1.00 from each pack since that is the sale price...
$3.99 shelf. we would need 4 @ $3.99 = $15.96, less $6.00 (4 dbld $.75 Q's) = $9.96-4.00(1.00 per pack)= 5.96 and get $5.00 OYNO. ??

My understanding was that the smaller packs were not on sale that is why no discount was applied.

Oh, I thought my store had a sign that said ANY pack but who knows, I could be wrong. I didn't have a very good trip a little bit ago, I sure do not plan to go back over there today and try.

My store did not have the smaller packs (3.99) on sale, just the larger ones (regular price $6.99, on sale for $5.99).
I got three 8-pks (AA and AAA) @ $5.99 each, minus $4.50 ($.75 doubled x 3) = $13.50 plus tax and a $5 OYNO. That's a great deal compared to what I usually pay for batteries.

Yeah, this deal is a wash for me, only the 8 pks were on sale...I still have kmart freebies, I won't pay for batteries!

This CAT is on again.
Purchase $15.00 in products advertised below in a single transaction with your Giant Eagle Card and get $5.00 OYNST.
In my local ad it has Duracell Coppertop Batteries On sale starting 04/30.
AAA or AA 4 pack, C or D 2 pack, or 9 Volt 1 pack. $2.99 each. May be a great time to use the $0.75 coupons that expire on 04/30 and get cheap batteries after the CAT.
HTH.
