Yesterday I used the B1G2 free angus chuck roast 7 day coupon at Albertsons. The prices seemed a little high, but I have not bought meat in a grocery store (use warehouse stores) in a while. I got the three roasts for the most expensive one ($22.00). I had another coupon and asked my Publix if they honored it. They did, and the meat was MUCH cheaper. I got 3 of the same sized roasts for $12.00. When I got home, I saw that the Albertson's meat was $7.99 per pound and the Publix roasts were $2.99/lb. Now that I know Publix honors these B1G2 coupons, I will be using them there.

I might just try that tomorrow at Publix :)
Albertsons always does that with the meat. I never buy there B1G2 .
I've only gotten there B1G1 ribs that are cheaper than Publix.
However I do get great chicken breast, leg quarters from Publix.
They have had the chicken breast for .88 cents many times and leg quarters for .49 cents a lb. I buy red meat at Publix and not that often.

I knew Albertson's raised the price on the 1b2f but it still seemed like a good deal. I NEVER thought about seeing if publix will take the coupon. I am so going to try that the next time.

Oh yea, they do that all the time. Especially with the chicken breast. That averages around $3 a pound with the B1G2 and you can get it the next week there for $1.69#. I only get the ribs when they have the B1G2 because that is a good deal. Never thought to take that coupon to Publix though. DUH

I actually got 2 Albertsons $5/$50 coupons in this morning's paper that was delivered! I freaked out to see 1 but then I saw a second circular in there. So I plan to use 2 of the $5/$50 in two seperate transactions.
I am learning!!!! Everything I'm getting is BOGO totals $102 after these two coupons and MFQ my total will be around $33!
Thanks for reminding me about using competitor coupons at Publix !
This will be my first time! I know my Publix takes these because they had their store Coupon Policy written on small 4"X8" papers. I took one and keep it in my purse.

I did my Publix trip this morning and they were great. It is buy 1 lb of shrimp get 2lbs free.
The guy at the fish counter opened the frozen bags for me since Publix carries the bags in 28 oz vs. 16 oz. He packed them up in 3 1lb bags.
They were $9.17, $9.17 and $9.08 so the cashier took $9.17 and $9.08 off with not blinking an eye.
So 3lbs of shrimp for $9.17:BigHand:

I am going tomorrow morning to Publix to try this!
This morning I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the free local paper on my driveway. I decided to look inside since I noticed some sort of supermarket circular. I opened it and gasped when I found 2 Albertson circulars with $5 off $50 purchase! I did some scenarios for the BOGO sale
and Ihave coupons for every single item! So I'm doing 2 transactions total $102 and paying OOP $38! We will have Uncle Ben's rice coming out of our ears and a yr supply of Qtips and lots of frozen meals but I'm not complaining! lol:whistle67:

Do you get your ALbertsons circular in your mail or at the store?
If you live close enough to your Albertsons ,they automatically mail you the circulars and those are the ones that have the $/$$
I live about 3 miles away and I got this week but it was not in the mail box. It came in some free small newspaper that I get once a week.

I spoke to the Publix District manager here in st. lucie county and he told me (here in my county anyway) that as long as it is in actual coupon form from WinnDixie or Albertsons (not just an advertised special) and as long as they carry it, they will honor it.

WOW. Did he suggest this or did you ask? I went looking today (had not read your post clear enough, thought it was 1lb bags at Publix too) and saw that they are 24oz bags so I left empty handed. I also checked the fresh stuff but at my Publix, they don't have the 21 - 35 count size... I was hoping I could do what we did with the Tilapia B1G2 coupon (since it does not specify FROZEN or FRESH) and get 3lbs of fresh shrimp. Alas, not my day. I think I will check out a couple more stores tomorrow to see if it was just the one i was at that didn't have the 21 - 35 count size.
I have vowed to NOT buy Voila or similar meals unless they are free or money maker. Just not enough stuff to justify actually paying money...considering I can make it from "real" ingredients cheaper. I was hoping for some cheap shrimp!!!:BigHand:
