I have noticed that the past two times there were P&G inserts, they weren't in my Pitt Post. I am referring to the inserts for the first of the month as well as those from this weekend. They were in the Altoona Mirror....Thoughts??

It seems like they should have been included, but maybe whomever stuffed the papers left them out... I always check my newspaper to make sure that it has all of the inserts before I buy it. (I've bought papers before that had one missing.)

The P&G wasn't in this past week's (delivered) paper either. I don't recall about the one before that, but I think it was?

ETA: I looked through the paper again and my P&G was there, but hiding.

I had the same problem, no use in contacting the paper because they say they have no control over it.

It seems as if they may have disc. carrying the P&G also, at least in our area. The first time I noticed them missing, I had checked several different stores, and none of the PPG had the P&G. I don't even bother w/ them anymore.

At first I thought it was a problem with them being stolen from the paper, so I called the store - then was told to call the distributor. They sent me two new papers and they didn't have the insert in either. Thought it was a fluke or something. Then this weekend I got the Altoona Mirror and it had the P&G but the PPG didn't. Ug. Now to figure out what paper to buy and count on.
Thanks All!

I bought 2 PPG's this weekend and they both had the PG insert, so it's shouldn't be a problem with the PPG not carrying it any more. I would call and ask them, particularly if it's home delivery.

I was told by a deliverer the out lying areas (you know the places that have to pay more) won't be getting it if you buy it at a store. Home delivery will still get it no matter where you are.
I say you should call P&G every time you don't get it. They should send you coupons as a comp.

Mine Post Gazette had the P&G insert in it. I bought them at Dollar Tree.

I asked about this in another forum. I live in NE Ohio and I discovered that the PPG was the only paper that carried all the full-sized inserts. The Youngstown Vindicator, The Akron Beacon Journal, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer do not carry the full-sized inserts and my local paper only carries a skimpy version of SS. Well, 2 weeks in a row no inserts suddenly! This was back in February. I thought it was a fluke but no! I checked everywhere! I was so POed. I contacted the paper but the PPG comes from a distributor out of Youngstown. So I stopped buying it...so mad too cuz in order to get all the inserts on Sun I would have to buy 2 different newspapers and combine them which costs more than one PPG! I was thinking of getting a Sun subscription but how will I know if I get the inserts?

Maybe contact PPG again and ask if there is delivery available in your area and if you could have the phone number of the delivery person?

I had no idea the PPG was available for delivery in my area until I emailed PPG one Monday asking if there was somewhere I could get a Sunday paper because I couldnt get to the store on Sunday. They contacted the 'manager' of this area's deliverers and then the delivery guy dropped one off to me. That's how I ended up getting to know my delivery guy and made sure to tell him that I had to have the coupons :-) He's been super accomendating (sp?) LOL

I do know that people often say there is X number of inserts available, and that sometimes if more papers go to an area than there are inserts available that the ones in the stores get shorted. (so the delivery ones almost always have them). Maybe that's what's happening to you lately?

Good luck! I'd be livid if I couldnt get the inserts LOL I just checked on the coupon clippers to see how much it would be to order 10 of all the coupons I want extras of - and it's a better deal for me to just buy the extra 10 papers! Especially with the Colgate/Palmolive deal coming up!

What Colgate Palmolive deal? Actually I think I know what you mean I was flipping thru the new GE ad and I noticed a MM with toothpaste. I figure there's more to this deal than just toothpaste and deodorant though. I haven't read anything on it.

There is a $3.00 Cat oyno when you buy $10 of participating products. Colegate and Palmolive are included and on sale starting 4/2. HTH

That's what I thought...I was getting 4 TP and 2 deodorants. Should be $1.30 with the tax plus the $3 Cat = $1.70 profit  Strangely I am looking forward to that...
