I followed the advice of this board this week and did all of my WAGS transactions at the beauty counter (I did 6 trips this week). I've been amazed at how much easier it has gone there. They are SO eager to help you and the lady that helped me today was even telling me she wanted to be sure she put my Qs in the right order so that I'd save the most $$$!!! I think I will be visiting her more frequently.

Ok, thought I'd share my first brag :)

I did three separate transactions using three $10 RRs I made on the Robitusson deal last week.

First:
3 Kleenex (used .50/3 newspaper coupon)
Fusion razor (used $4 newspaper coupon)
Airwick Freshmatic (used $4 internet coupon)
Used $10 RR
This cost me $1.70 oop and I was issued $5 RR

Next:

This cost me $2.27 oop and earned me $9 RR.

Last:
St Ives Element scrub (used $2.99 coupon)

This cost me $2.65 oop and issued me $7 RR.

So grand total: Out of pocket was $6.62, with $21 RR to spend later.

Bought 2 exedrins and 1 Theraflu. Used $2/1 for each. Sent in my rebate to Theraflu and realized I bought the wrong exedrin for rebate.. needs to be 20 count so I will return tomorrow and rebuy. got 8 RR (normally it would be unethical (right?) to buy a product from a RR deal and return it??) I am buying the 'right' one so I don't feel this case is wrong

They were on sale for $9.99, but then I couldn't use the $5 ESC on them. =( On a better note, the BA told me she had a $2/1 St. Ives coupon if I checked out in cosmetics. I was happy about that, but since she used the $2/1, she said she was going to write in the 'free' value on the B1G1 c/o as $3.99 instead of $4.99. Kind of weird. So the coupon didn't really end up saving me $2...just $1. But hey, that was $1 more than I was planning on saving with the St. Ives deal.

the MIR for the excedrin is for 20 count, the RR is for 80 count so no, if you exchange for the 20 count you would not be entitled to the RR that you received.

Stopped in at one of my usual walgreen haunts today and they actually had some St.Ives elements in! LOL woohooo. SO i did 4 transactions(left one on the shelf for somone else). i used a $2 off any St ives IP and a $4 RR from my fusions for each transactions. use thumbtacks and some classroom decorations as fillers(i used these to put words around my house for my special needs son, it helps him recognize words and objects). i paid 51 cents on the thumbtack one and 41 cents on each of the classroom decorations transactions OOP on my rebate card. got a $5 RR back on each transaction. also picked up a raincheck on the lysol neutrairs that i wanted.

you can't use a St Ives RR to get more St IVes, or a Glade RR on Glade..BUT you CAN use Glade RR on St Ives and the St Ives RR on Glade...

Those darn Register Rewards can be finicky even for the very experienced Wags shoppers!! I am fairly new to the system myself, but I can tell you that if you purchase, for example, a Proctor & Gamble product that generates a RR you cannot pay with that RR on another P&G deal (even if a different product) and receive another RR. Now, doesn't that just confuse you more?? LOL! :giggle2: Hang in there, you'll get better the more you do the deals.

The Dove soap was in a previous week's RR promo, and ended on 10/25. When getting RRs you will only get one per transaction, per promotion. So, if someone posted about getting 16, then they purchased 4 in each of 4 transactions.

Just a heads up...all Halloween decor is anywhere from 50%-75% off and the Halloween candy is 50% off even though their selection is much to brag about. Anywho, I bought a Snoopy glow in the dark black shirt with Snoopy and friends dreesed up for Halloween on it......normally it is 9.99 well today it was $4.99 so with tax it was $5.48 I had $5 in RR's so I only paid .48 for it! I think the other coupon didn't work because they are both manufacturer's? The only time you can use two coupons for the same item is when it is a walgreens coupon from the easysaver catalog or 7 day coupon from their advert with a regular manufacturer coupon. The peelie would be a mnfr coupon....

I went to Walgreens Friday to get the Dr. Peppers that they had, I think, a week ago. They were out at the time so I got a raincheck. Well they were 5/$11 so it was a great deal. And I wanted to get the schick quattro razors so I got 4 of those. Well when I went to the register I gave her the raincheck first, then the b1g1f and she only did 1 but put 12.99 and I was like umm they are 5.99 and she was like well I did that so that I would only have to scan one, I was like ok:shrug7:. Just something to keep in mind... You counted your $4 RR twice (assuming you used the $4RR from the 1st order to pay for the 2nd.) So in actuality your OOP would be $6.78. still a good price for all that stuff.

Advertised price and price on shelf was $19.99. I had a $2 Walgreens Q on the L'oreal plus the $5/$20 coupon, which states you must have $20 purchase AFTER all Q's, discounts, etc. So I bought 3 rolls of Christmas wrap (which was B1 at $1.99 G2 free), and 1 pkg. gift tags $1.99.

You guessed it, it wouldn't allow the $5 rebate, saying I didn't buy enough. After retrying several times, the clerk said the reason was that the L'oreal was on sale for $14.99. So I had to add more to my purchase. I went and got L'Oreal Towelettes on sale for $5.24.

When all was finished I paid $17.20 + $1.42 tax = $18.62 for all. And I'm not sure, but I think I'll be getting $14.99 back for my rebate. That means I'll be getting all this for a final net price of $3.63. Does that sound right????:shrug7:

You should get back the price you paid for the Loreal; the rebate is up to $19.99. You paid $14.99 so that is what you should get. If you get your rebate on a gift card you will get a 10% bonus or $1.49. That would be a net price of $2.14 ($18.62 - $14.99 - $1.49 = $2.14) WTG! You did great:BigHand:

Went to the store by work today over the lunch hour, but they were out of the FAR loreal item, so I convinced DH to stop at a different store after my dad's 70th birthday party tonight. Took me to $20 and change, but the coupon still wouldn't work, so I grabbed another package. Total was $21.08 and the coupon still wouldn't work. Grabbed one more package and the coupon finally worked. $1.31 tax was the problem.

My total was $17.15 after coupons (used gift care), and I'll get $16.48 back on the gift card so about $0.67 total.

I was so excited, and DH was happy because I was happy, but he just doesn't get it. :-)

There was a walgreens employee checking out in front of me and he finally gave up on using the $5/20 coupon. He was at $17 like I was at first. The 2 ladies working and I were joking with him and telling him he just needed to think like a woman. He could have gotten $3 more and paid $2 less, but he just didn't get it. :-)

I once had a cashier that almost refused to scan my RR because she was sure I wouldn't get the RR for the deal I was trying to buy. ("I've NEVER had that work before. NEVER.") She was a little snotty about it, but I asked her if she could please just try it, and she shrugged, like "ok, I'll try it, but you're not going to get the deal you want." this remark is more for the lady that said the manager gave u an attitude. Just remember that if you are going to have overage, to just buy fillers to cover the overage. Filler can be anything like , candy bar, pencils, travel tissue etc.... buy fillers that you do not have a coupon for.

quick trip. been not hitting Walgreens lately cause i was NOT impressed with the sales lately. BUT that venus sale and sure called to me! LOL i had the $4 off on the venus coupons from vocalpoint so i got those and some sures. i went to 3 different walgreens to spread the love.

Just a comment about quantities. I was actually thanked by a wags manager for buying those bic soleil razors. He said that they couldn't give them away even if they wanted to. I think ordering is totally ymmv. I have tried it before and it never works. Wags system is flawed imo, b/c they get these totes of stuff and they have no idea what is in what tote. They attempt to find stuff for me and just tell me that I have to wait til they check all the totes. The times I have requested an order they never get it. I am not sure if it is b/c everyone else has placed an order or if the manager just doesn't do it for me. Who knows? Just had to state my opinion.

I had traded for 20 of the Scotch tape $1/2 coupons and hoped they would get here in time. They got here Saturday so I went to see if I could get free tape with the store coupon. I wanted to spread it out over several stores because I was afraid they would turn the coupons down if I used too many at once (because even though they are a manufacturer's coupon they say "redeem at Publix" on them). I got 6 free tapes at my first store but my other stores were completely out of tape. So after I finished all of my shopping I went back to my first store at 10 p.m. I was disappointed when I saw that the cashier was one who gave me trouble about coupons before. But I tried it anyway - 34 rolls of tape. I gave her 17 $1/2 coupons and the IVC coupon - just knew it would get shot down. Nope - she scanned everything right through. Total was $1.29 (tax only) for 34 rolls of tape - then a $5 RR printed out - I had totally forgot about that.:BigHand::hysterical: I was down to my last roll of tape - I am now stocked up for several holidays to come.

.05 cents oop last night!! Got 6 cans of Progresso w/the $1.10 coupon and 1 Colgate w/the .75 cent coupon. Went late at night and had a young cashier who didn't even bat an eye at my coupons. Go to the Robitussin website, on the left side there's a link to print $2 coupons. Print as many as it will let you, I believe it was 2 or 3. Then go to Walgreens and buy 5 bottles, 4 oz size, of the Robitussin and/or Dimetapp on sale. Hand over the coupons, and pay the balance. When the register opens, the coupon printer will give you 3 coupons: 1 for $10 and 2 for $5. So now you have $20 to spend on anything, just like cash, in Walgreens.

This was happening (the 10/5/5$ RR) because of an overlap in two seperate dimetapp/robi RR deals. The overlap disappeared this morning and is now only giving $15 in RR's.

Alot of people were getting multiples of this robi deal because they were rolling back and forth between the Robi/Dimetapp and the Vicks/Nyquil RR promos with coupons. I rolled my RR's back and forth once (one robi deal, one vicks deal, one robi deal). After I got my second set of 10/5/5 RR's I used $15 of it for x-mas clearance stuff and soda. They still had some decent inflatable lawn deco left.

I also picked up alot of Garnier Fructis clearanced at $2.19 each with the current $2/1 IVC for $0.19 shampoo, conditioner & gel. I also had 5 $1/1 coupons for garnier style products / conditioner that I used.

I got 27 of the different garnier products, used the IVC & MQ's for $59 in savings. $59.13 sale price worth of Garnier for $0.13 + tax.

Total savings over 2 days (clearance sale, coupons & RR's) *drum roll please*.... $223.45 Total OOP: <$20

I've never done any Wags deals that earned me RRs before, so when I saw the Robitussin deal that was being talked about with such gusto here, I thought I should go ahead and try it (I am a bit sick right now, so I figured, "Hey--I can always use the Robitussin anyway"!) :biggrin: So as I set out to do that deal, I also saw that Fusion razors had an RR deal as well. Okee dokee--I have some Qs for those, so I'll try that one too! To make a very long story short, in the past few days I've done four transactions and got a lot of stuff for a little money! :BigHand: Here's a quick list:
* 5 bottles of Robitussin {got RR}
* 3 Fusion "bonus sets" (found these right by the regular razors--same price, but had little extras like mini shampoo/body wash and mini shave gel!) {got RR}
* Lots of misc. holiday things on clearance
* Pair of gloves for DH

To compensate for all the overage (one store was 60++ items so big overage) I got fusion razorwith my $4 coupons (got back $3 RR), toilet paper, body washes, make up, other hair items, paper towels, milk, napkins, pop, etc.... Funny as I thought I covered all my overages and when she hit the button it showed a -$19.75 balance. Soooo, got more stuff. Finally after grabbing other items. such as shaving cream and 2 gift sets .. I paid $3.74 OOP.

Well, I logged on to post my first brag; however, after reading some of the brags, mine is not that great, but I am still excited. Got many sets of Centrum Vitamins, 3 of them for $2, once I used coupons and got the RR back for passing the $20 mark. :D

(3 Pkgs @ $7-$3Q=paid $12 for first set, then recycled RR from then on, only paying $2 OOP each time...)

Did a few deals at WAGS today, but the best was clearnance L'Oreal & Maybelline makeup.

26 L'oreal & 8 Maybelline - $53 L'oreal MQ's & $32 Maybelline MQ's a couple of small fillers and -$10RR.

I cleared them out of the clearance ($2.19) items.. and some of the Garnier SHAMPOO's didn't have the sale price under it, but the matching conditioner did. Are they still on sale or are just the conditioners on sale for some sets?

Is .88 good for facial tissues? I know they're regularly $1.50 or so, I'm thinkign of getting more.. but there's no rush if there are better deals out there in the future.
