If your Food World is closing, what deals have you gotten so far?

I went yesterday to the super duper liquidation, only to find that the normal sale prices were way better than the liquidation prices.

Now if you are shopping for something that normally never goes on sale, the 10% or 25% is a good deal, especially with a doubled coupon. But at my store, they haven't restocked in weeks before the liquidation, and the markdowns on what IS there are so paltry that there were VERY few deals.

I did get Goodlife cat food -- 2.2 lb bag for $1.12 after discount and coupon. Other than that, nothing remarkable.

That's the same way it was when the Albertsons all closed in Pensacola. The signs outside said things like 40% off this and 50% off that, and when you got inside it was 40 and 50% off the marked up full retail price, like $4.49 for a box of Fruit Loops. No thanks! Even at 50% off that's WAY above my stock-up price.
