I am not 100% sure, but if you check w/ the butcher, I believe they will cut the meat into portions for you. I sometimes do this w/ roasts when they are BOGO b/c they are too big for my family. I ask the butcher to cut them into cuts appropriate for us.

Also, Turkey Hill ice cream is 3/$9 and there was a $1Q in last weekend's paper.

Hormel Entrees 5.99 each and there was a Q in one of the previous week's papers. I can't tell the exact paper b/c I cut mine out and file them.

Folger's coffee 2/$6 and there was a Q in this weekend's paper. I think it was .50 but can double check in a little bit and update if need be.

Activia and Danactive 1.99 each - $1Q in this weekend's paper (.99 yogurt).

Does anybody know if you have to buy the razors in seperate orders to get the $5 OYNO? Or if I buy 4 razors, will I get 4 cats?

There were a fair amount of things that we have coupons for, but not a lot that we really need. I might pick up the razors and a couple of random items, but not a big order this week.

Happy shopping!!

No experience with those, but it says "save up to" so that looks promising.

Doing the math ...

+

At Giant Eagle (when it is on sale):

$5.99 - $1.50 (a 75¢ coupon, doubled) = $4.49

+

At Marc's (their regular price):

$5.49 - 75¢ coupon = $4.74

Located in the meat case endcap, next to the Produce Department.

+

The Tyson brand product (very similar), at Marc's:

$4.99

+

This product has a sell by date on it so you know the drill.

When I did the Gillette Fusion, the cat I got back was only $4, so only a penny money maker for me when I combined it with the $4 off coupon. So you may want to watch that when you go.

I only received a $4 OYNO also. Also, I bought 2 and only got 1 $4 so this is at least for me one per order. So not as great a deal for me w/ $4 rather than $5 and having to do all those separate orders, unless my husband determines this is something he can use.

If you have a lot of them to do, talk to someone in customer service, or near a cash register, they should be able to help you out (if you do more than 1 per order, they will usually give the Cats back on a gift card which would work out better since you could use it on anything).

Thanks that's a good idea that I hadn't thought of.

Question for you or whoever - do the OYNO coupons work to use at the self-service registers without having to have the attendant come over and scan their card? I usually go to the regular registers because normally I have a lot of different things I'm getting where I'm using more than 2 of the same coupon.

I overheard at the customer service that even though the cats printed as $4, they are scanning as $5. Check with the customer service about that.

I bought one this evening and cat printed fine for $5. May be they fixed it.

And also people who shop at New Kensington GE, they have a GE coupon for $3 off $10 Health and Beauty purchase which you can use on these razors along with $4 gillette coupon.

This coupon is only valid at New Kensington location otherwise I would have mailed a couple of coupons to everyone in this thread.

This morning the cats printed as $4. This afternoon the $4 cats printing would ring up as $5. This evening the cats were printing as $5 like advertised.

Ha I know, I am hoping they will work something out for me, since I do not want to be at GE all day long! I hope to go Friday morning (if work ever lets me leave) so I'll fill you in on whatever horror stories may arise! They have actually been very nice and helpful up to this point (I was going to buy them Tuesday but they told me about the sale), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I got 7 Fusion and one Embrace. AND in the pink Venus razors I bought 'last week' there was a $3 an Embrace razor! FREE Embrace!
I combined the Fusion with a Degree Deo at $2.69, with tax I paid $0.94 each trans and got the hubby the anti-perspirant/deoderant he prefers. The OYNO I got with the embrace DOES NOT SAY Health & Beauty, it says $5 off your next purchase compliments of P&G! Woot!
I am going to get one more Fusion/Degree and one more Embrace if they have any at MBH store.
My soldier should be quite happy to see a couple of razors along with the toothpaste and toothbrushes...

Also, I give the store OYNO first and depending, part of the tax gets paid by the MFC. I only paid $0.11 for 5 shave gels and one Colgate toothpaste yesterday! The tax was $0.61. That cashier was quite impressed, and interested (in the good, turn them over to the 'dark side' way)! Yay!

I think this would be more problematic if she actually was wiping out the stock or didn't have a coupon friendly store, but this doesn't seem to be the case. JC ordered the razors so the store is fully aware of her intentions, plus the store, itself, even suggested waiting until this week for the sale. Imagine having such a wonderful store that understands their customers, coupons and salesmanship.

As far as what JC is going to to with all those razors isn't for us to judge unless it is something horrendous and illegal. For all we know, those may be donated to a worthy cause, but instead of JC blabbing about donating she prefers being blessed by the Lord. If they are for JC's own personal use, I see no problem with this either.

Let me just close with I understand about being considerate of others, using coupons wisely, legally and following the rules. There are those that do not and it does make it harder for the rest of us. I've even felt entitlement and excited about certain deals and coupons thinking I've covered all my bases only to be disappointed or realize I was wrong. The thing is we can only help make changes if it is illegal. If it is more of an ethical slant and are confrontational, we get just about nowhere except in prayer.

I do have a concern that if people buy mass quantities with coupons that Giant Eagle may enforce this: Policy may change without notice - We reserve the right to limit the number of coupons used. This was taken directly from their Coupon Redemption policy.

Target recently changed their policy regarding Target coupons. They are now limiting their coupons to one per transaction.

I agree... We are having problems in Cincinnati because of people buying 100+ items with coupons managers have now became hostile and very very very rude and limitng the once unlimited coupons doubles:sad:

I went to my SNS and found 2 free eggs wyb 2 Kellogg's cereals (they are 2/$3 until midnight tonight and I got the 18 pks of extra large eggs - total cost after .70/1 q's - .40) so, I ran over to my GE and they didn't have them but, they did have:

free activa multipack wyb 2 all bran
free Ocean spray juice wyb 2 smart start
.55/1 q's on the fiber pop-tarts
$1/1 q's on the fiber pop-tarts (to be removed by cashier)
Free All Bran Strawberry Medly cereal (no other purchase necessary)

All of the above q's were either post-it type coupons stuck to the box or taped (w/piece of scotch tape) to the front of the box (the $1/1 fiber pop-tarts was the only one that was an actual peelie but, you couldn't peel it since the cashier has to remove it)

thank you, thats basically what I was getting at, I mean hey I am the first to say that if the deal is out there, get all you need. But while that store may be fine, corporate may not be and in the end it could effect all of us. I love couponing, and I love my fellow couponers, (you are all very helpful by the way, including Chimp (not trying to pick on her)I just want whats best for ALL of us.

I just don't understand some stores! Why would they not want the business? They are going to get all that money back and then some! If I were a grocery store manager i would welcome couponers with open arms. The manager who's letting her buy 100+ razors knows what he's doing! That's 100 razors he wouldn't normally sell AND that's $500 in cats that she's going to spend at his store!

"100 razors that he normally wouldnt sell" ? Oh please!!!
I wish I could find a store that had A razors.

Here is the difference -
So she goes in and buys 100 razors and $5.00 worth of other stuff.....verses 100 people going in and buying A razors and $5.00 dollars worth of other stuff.

The manager doesn't make the sales - that is done at the corporate level. The manager's job is to have a profitable store and lots happy loyal custormers. The person that buys 100 hurts everyone.

It takes a lot of the secondary business, that the loss leaders is designed to attract, away from the store.
makes for 99 unhappy customers that will walk out thinking the manager did not order enough.
Causes the store loss of employee power. If a stock person goes to the back of the store to search for more loss leaders and the customer service person writes a rain check - 99 times, think of all the things that are not getting done in the time that was lost because of that one out of stock loss leader item.
With the using of the catalina, the store profits most from the person that gets a catalina, but doesn't cash it in for he lost it, threw it away, let it expire. There are more chances that is going to happen if 100 people have them as opposed to one.

The coupons for the razor deal were not coupons that could be doubled. Although, if someone is buying 120 razors I'm sure they won't have a problem buying or ordering 120 of something else that uses .75 off coupons that will be doubled. The store might very well be taking a loss on 120 of some other item. The cost to us is in increased prices passed on along and the risk they will enforce a limit on doubling coupons.

None of us want that.

I was in yesterday for salad bags, b1g1 free, (Seven Fields), and found $2/2 Fresh Express Salad kits. I forget the exact prices, cheapest was around 3.68 - but I ended up paying no more than .90c bag....... I only took what I can use up before 4/40/09 (exp. date). Hope everyone else can find these, this is the FIRST time there have ever been some left over in those little boxes. I hate it when people clear them out as soon as they fill them....There were a lot left yesterday.....

I had some cashier giving me a hard time over this deal. UNTIL, I mentioned that some of these are going to the soldier we adopted. If someone has adopted a squadron, they could need that many. Also, if they are donating to a shelter. We have many causes to donate to that most don't brag about. I only mention mine in the hopes that more soldiers will be 'adopted'!
I have gotten 10 so far myself plus 2 Embrace. I have gotten the husband some Degree deoderant that he prefers too. I fly low; but if your store doesn't require you too then awesome. These managers are in constant contact with someone in corporate according to my aunt (a baker at one store). They are aware of those who do it like us and we are such a minority we don't hurt them. At least that's what my aunt and her friend (a bakery manager) say.

I could be wrong, but the store won't profit at all if the catalina isn't redeemed. The catalina is a promo that is paid for by the manufacturer. Just like a coupon. And the person who is getting 100 had the manager order 100 extra. She didn't take 100 off the shelf.

Same question ... I was wondering about the Motts. There are new printables out there for any Mott's product. Just go to the Mott's website and click on special promotion- you can print 2- .55/1 Q's- they don't expire until Oct. 31, 2009.

I plan on using mine at Target and combining with their store coupon (really cheap applesauce) but a friend of mine is more interested in the juice at GE.

Actually it may be cheaper...

Buy 4 juices at (2.65 each) equals $10.60 ( make sure shelf price equals $10)
scan GE card -3.25
scan four .55 Q's doubled -4.40

pay 2.95 for 4 juices and get back $3

you would still need to buy 5 applesauces to get back the catalina, and I only have 4 Q's (5 Q's would make them about .30 a piece after Q's)

pay 5.60 for 5 applesauces and get back $3 (where as Target you pay approx .60 for 4 applesauces)

What a hoot!!! I did the Mott's juice and had a blast! I need a life! lol

Here's what I bought:

4 Mott's apple juice (2.65 original, sale price $2) = $8
1 Over the Moon half gallon choc milk (3.49 original, sale price $3)
2 Bird's eye veggie - $1 each sale price
-$5 OYNO
-$1 milk Q
- (.55 doubled = 1.10) * 4 = -4.40 for the Mott's Qs

Paid $2.60 OOP and got a $3OYNO!!!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!!
I LOVE COUPONS!!!

I also got a Q for $1.50 off any Philadelphia ready to eat cheesecake filling (exp 5/5/09)
Worst part, I forgot the Nesquick and chicken broth I went for. Silly girl! I never see a Q for nesquick powder. Guess what I am doing with my $3OYNO later today :)

I think there has been a few times over the past year that Q's have come in the paper .50 off any Nesquick product. Now I haven't seen Nesquick powder go on a good sale!

...

1 Over the Moon half gallon choc milk (3.49 original, sale price $3)

...

:)There is a TMF offer on this product (sans the $1.00 off coupon).

They do ask for the UPC from the ½ gallon container.

Without this item opened (the Brook Park, OH did not have the chocolate flavor), like a skilled surgeon I ever-so-lightly scored the outline of the UPC and sucessfully removed said UPC.

It was like peeling a layer off of the packaging.

Yikes!

Hi! I have a quick question...I'm sure the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask. If they are out of stock on an item and you get a raincheck can you ask for a raincheck coupon for the OYNO too? Example the Venus razor's are out of stock, so if I get a raincheck I won't get the $5 OYNO coupon because by then the deal will be over.

Thanks!

I think this is ymmv. I've seen people post that they've been offered gift cards for raincheck items w/ an oyno. But, when I asked for a raincheck for the fusion razors this week I was told that I could only get the raincheck for the $7.99 price, but the oyno would not apply after the sale was over.:shrug7:

The coffee mate coupon I have from the 1/4 SS is good for the powder or the liquid. Not sure if the powder is on sale though, I always buy the liquid.

Last time around I got rainchecks from 4 different stores, and they all wrote the OYNO part on the raincheck and said it wouldn't be a problem.

I talked to the Front End Manager and the Customer Service Manager about it this week, they said there was pretty much no way that they would actually honor the OYNO (since they couldn't force the catalina machine to print) and the best I could do was the sale price.

(Therefore, it was really good that my order came in when they were on sale again!)

If you have problems with your store honoring a RC that has a CAT deal asociated with it you should call GE CS. My GE takes the dollar amount right off the top when I am finally able to purchase my RC items that are attached to a OYNSO deal.

Something weird happened today with the 75c/1 Dentyne gum coupon today. Today was my favorite cashier's last day (he got a new job), so after I bought the stuff I needed I went back and grabbed 7 of the Wet Ones (to use my last raincheck) and I got 8 Dentyne and 1 Trident gum packs. He gets such a kick out of seeing my savings, I figured I'd do a 0 total order :-)

I used the 75c/1 wet ones coupons - so those were free with the RC and doubled coupon.

And then only 6 of the Dentyne gum coupons went through - my total was 55 cents. It wouldnt take any more coupons! Here they went through as 75c and then doubled 74c. The Dentyne was on sale for 1$ (1.19 shelf price) and the Trident was 1.49 (first item rang up).

I have no idea how it happened....the lead cashier came over and put her key in before he rang the coupons up because of the RC - so I don't know if that had something to do with it - or if it was because of the 1.49 Trident being rang up first that the computer just let them all double to 1.49?? It was the weirdest thing LOL No tax - just 55 cents total.

Thanks!I never, ever hesitate to ask for a raincheck when an advertised item it out-of-stock.

I believe that they are like gold (preserving the sale price and the possibility of using a future issued coupon).

+

What helps my effort out immensely is that I cut out and tape to the raincheck the illustrated item and text for that item from the store flyer.

This removes all doubt as to the advertised sale price / offer!

+

True, the Catalina coupon cannot be printed after the offer has expired but the store can do a price modify (a sort of instant savings / deduction) when the raincheck is redeemed.
