At my Giant last night (in SoMD), they had a sign up saying they now accept all Safeway coupons!

There is a $10/$50 coupon in this week's Safeway ad, that should stack with the $5/$50 e-coupon that got added to most people's Giant card. (expires today?).

Good luck & hope that helps someone!

Leesburg, VA - Potomac Stationhad an announcement played over the system, they accept all competitors coupons. The door did have a sign that said they accept Safeway coupons. I used a Bloom coupon, and worked just fine. Also noticed that for competitor coupons, they just enter it as a cash payment, and they get the cash from the customer service desk for the coupon.

Oh my gosh....Safeway and Giant finally doubling .99 like Giant Eagle, Superfresh, and Shopper's...with Giant giving the occasional triple

Now Giant adds Super $1 Doublers in paper, AND accepting competitor Q's...... Who else wants the recession to last a little while longer.... :hysterical:

JUST KIDDING.....:whistle67:.... really, I don't want the recession to continue, but sure do hope all this coupon warring does

when they say "all safeway coupons" does that just mean $/$$ or the super-coupons too?

because you could do some real damage if they price- matched the super-coupons during $1 doubles (1.99 digiorno, 27c classico pasta sauce). I cannot imagine a Giant cashier being able to figure that out though...

HT now specifically states that they only accept competitors' dollars off coupons and NOT coupons for specific products. does Giant have any similar language?

I asked that question at Giant yesterday.
You are allowed one coupon per item. I had a Safeway supersaver for Kelloggs Mini-wheats .99 and wanted to use my Kelloggs .60/1 with it. CS said no, one Q per item even if one is a store Q and the other manufacturer Q.
Maybe this will be one of those "Ask and get a different answer every time" type rules.

I have used the safeway super saver coupon with a manufacturer coupon at Giant. I use self check though, dont know if this is the difference. I scan all my regular coupons first, then you need to get a cashier to do the safeway by hand. You have to watch though, because my cashier tried to subtract 99cents on the Frosted Mini Wheats, instead of lowering the price from $3 to 99 cents. I had to tell her it should be $2.01!
