Hi :wavehi:

Anyone out there ever use expired Qs in the self checkout lane? Just curious if they require cashier intervention--as they sometimes seem to at the regular checkout lanes. Thanks!

I've used them plenty of times with no problem.

Thanks for the feedback :wavehi:

I have lots of expireds to use up and I feel like some of the cashiers get really annoyed with me for using them. :shrug7: I'd rather just do it myself!

Sorry to hear you don't have these LMC.

I thought I was the only one who annoyed them! :giggle2: I sure feel like it sometimes when I'm the only one in line using coupons! Thanks for the feedback :wavehi:

The store I go to has to have cashier intervention on ANY coupon - including CUB ones. So it's not worth it to me to wait for 5 minutes to have a cashier come and approve the coupons. The same is true for Rainbow self checkout that I go to.

This is a recent development though - in the last month or so.

Ditto.

:evillaugh: I can use expired black-and-white IPs with NO trouble.

Except. The coupons slot has a little sensor, and some of the q's get hung up. It actually helps if you blow in it to get the q to activate the sensor...

Probably not the best thing for it mechanically, but that's what the cashier told me last winter, and I've had no problems since. :hysterical:

I usually look around me before I blow the troublesome coupons in ... it's embarrassing blowing at the self-checkout! :hysterical:

If you don't like to blow the coupons in the machine then take a card and push it in (like a cvs or other store card) past the sensor. I sometimes do that because the blowing gets annoying to me.

Hello, I've never tried any expired coupon before. So sad to throw away many expired coupons. I'm wondering if any of you know whether the cub at west towne mall in madison will take expired coupon or not. And if yes, up to how long the coupon expired that they will take? thank you very much

Best thing is to call Customer Service or stop by when you shop and ask them. Depending if they are a franchise store or not, they take expireds. At least one store in the Twin Cities takes them up to 6 months. You're right ... there are a lot of good expireds out there too!
