I just went to my Taylors, SC Bi-Lo and got 2 cereals (Cheerios and Golden Grahams) and 2 foot fruit things and I did not get my $4 off. I went ahead and paid and then inquired at the service desk and they said "I don't know what you're talking about". WHAT? IT is ALL OVER THE CEREAL ISLE! I showed them all of the shelf tags stating the INSTANT $4 off with Bi-Lo card at checkout. They STILL said I don't know. Then they insisted I got the wrong things or sizes. Then she got out my stuff and compared and said it is all correct. Then she said "well, you'll just get $4 off next time you come in". Does this sound right? She wouldn't get me anything in writing and said she's there all the time and she'll remember me. I just think this is wrong. False advertising. It said INSTANT. The manager said on the phone to give $4 to me next time. I almost put the stuff in my car and went in to say "well, this is next time"! Anyone had this problem?? I thought about calling corporate - however you get ahold of them. I just think it's wrong and VERY wrong for the store to not even know the details of the sale in their own store then to brush it off and not pay me. Should I say something to someone (besides manager, since that didn't make a difference)??

Sorry this happened :(
The $4 did not come off for me instantly either in Chesnee, SC. I asked the cashier about it, she called the manager over, I explained to the manager and showed her the Bi-lo ad, she insisted a catalina would print with a $4 off coupon. I said fine, but I don't think so. (I knew it wouldn't) I completed my order and when the cat didn't print for the $4 the manager refunded my $4. (a cat did print for $3.50 on your next order but that was for a different promo).
I'd call the district manager if your store manager doesn't know what's up and won't listen to you about what the ad says.

I did it with the Cinammon Toast Crunch, and the $4 comes off instantly-as a matter of fact it messed up my raincheck, but yes the $4 comes off near the end of the order.
Why is it so difficult. When something says "$4 instantly" that means it will come off of THAT transaction, the transaction in which you are making the purchase.
It is on page 7 of the sales flier.
Where is the confusion (on the store's part)?
Save $4 INSTANTLY When you buy any 4 participating GM products no coupon required. All 4 items must be in the same order to get the $4 SAVINGS.
Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

I think the confusion/problem is that it isn't coming off instantly for some people...it did not come off instantly for me for the Fruit Gushers, and when you bring it up the store employees don't seem to know anything about it. :shrug7:

My post wasn't directed towards US (HCW) it was for the Store employees that don't have a clue.
I will admit I am not in a good mood. I had to argue to get my register reward at Walgreens because the managers are making up excuses of why I can't have the register reward that I should have gotten.

Well, I called the Bi-Lo Customer Service Center this afternoon and the woman I spoke with was apologetic. She said it should have come off instantly at the end of the order. The store was very rude (never was before though) :poke:and like you said, did not understand something so cut and dry! THe woman at customer service took my complete name and mailing address - I did not ask why. I am assuming maybe I'll get a coupon or something...maybe...But, she is handing my complaint to one of the upper management people to handle. So, whatever....I know it's only $4, but we do alot to save that money. I told her that I felt really annoyed at how the store can say "come back another day and we'll give you $4 off".
Hope this didn't happen to many people.
