Our mailman did it again. Saturday delivery of the ad and coupons...

I've only peeked through it. A few eye catchers. But alas, I'm leaving you in a tease. I ave no time to type anything up.

Who was the volunteer if we took pictures they would type it up? I can get pictures tonight after dinnertime. (I really shouldn't even be on the computer right now!)

Are pampers on sale by chance next week? They're part of the Dustbuster deal too and I need diapers for the lil one :-)

ETA - L'oreal coupon is good until 3/29 - so we have another month to get a bogo. I think mid-month there is a good sale on L'oreal at CVS or RA, so I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, we'll get one at GE too...<crossing fingers>

Ok - scenario for the dustbuster:

in one transaction: ( if you have any cats from this or prior weeks, they'll help lower your initial oop)

Buy 4 febreze (use 4 $1/1 q's) pay $6 - get $5 back
Buy 4 crest premium toothpaste - use 4 $1.50/1 q's - pay $4 get $3 cat
Buy 2 razors - use b1g1 q - get $5 cat and pay $6

Then repeat, repeat, repeat but, use the 3 cats - pay $3 for all subsequent dustbusters

I don't want to take the chance that my purchases won't qualify for the dustbuster and plan on going on sale prices to make my $30 purchase

I seriously need another freezer - with all the pretzel q's, green giant (and if they are also on sale) you could do the $30 deal with as little as $7.50 oop (if you got all pretzels LOL - they do take up a little less space if you take them out of the box)

I did one transaction last night going by shelf price (scanned my card at the end) as an experiment LOL I needed the stuff I got - so if I get the dustbuster it'll be a bonus - if they say I didn't hit the 30$ mark, no big loss. But I'm definitely doing the rest going by sale prices to make sure I get at least one for me and one for my mom!

I need to get several - me, my sister, the elderly couple I help out, and then one each for my friend in VA, her mother and her sister (she's the one that always helps me out with extra coupons) so I'm afraid to try to get them by shelf price.

Funny thing is that she somehow doesn't have the P&G with these coupons but somehow, I wound up with 30 LOL.

LOL That's alot of dustbusters! Actually, I'm probably going to do one each for my mom, me, my MIL, my SIL, my baby sister....and anyone else I can think of - if the price is right :-)

There seemed to be an addressing issue when we first moved into our house and they were in the middle of changing Roural Routes to Street Names...so I now have 3 addresses??!! LOL I've been on the phone off and on all week with the PO, the Township and someone else (??) trying to find out exactly what our address is supposed to be. But for the time being all 3 will work ...I'm not complaining hehe

hats off to abby and the neekster for posting that these other P&G cat deals were happening on Thursday - I almost bought 12 febreeze the other night (thank goodness I forgot my coupons at home LOL). I would have been so mad that I wasted my q's and spent all that oop (my store will only let me use 1 like cat at a time so it would have been very expensive IMO)

The only bad part about the dustbusters is that we'll have no excuse not to have clean houses LOL (though these dustbusters are perfect for kids to use around the house LOL)

LOL My boytoy - hahaha He's not exactly what I'd call a boytoy LOL

I can't wait to get the dustbuster. I have a stickvac (Shark) and my DD (2 1/2) loves to help sweep the kitchen with it. I guess technically it turns into a dustbuster - but it has a cord. I just want one I can take out into my car and sweep up all the nasty crumbs the kids seem to get all over the back seats!

I was just going through some more ideas and Q's, just incase you don't have 4 Febreeze Q's (or want more or want a variety)

In the Home Made Simple mailer (all expire 3/31/09) there are .50/1 Q's for Dawn and Mr. Clean, they will double to $1. Also if you got the P&G coupon book.

So you could do 1 Dawn, 1 Mr. Clean, and 2 Febreeze (use Dawn .50/1, Mr Clean .50/1 and 2 Febreze $1/1)

Also there are .50 Crest toothpaste Q's in a recent insert that will double, not quite as good as the $1.50 off, but I could only get 15 $1.50 Q's.

Does anyone know (think) if the Hand Renewal Dawn will be included, I have a $1 Q for that too.

Now off to go shop this week's sales. When pulling out my Q's I had to keep looking through the ad to see which week the sale was in...LOL.

natashayw

I am also curious to see if the hand renewal is included. Is 25 cents a good price for the air effects or can you usually get it free?

Yes, the Hand Renewal Dawn is included so you can use another coupon from the P&G booklet! I passed on it myself today because I personally don't like it but I may do it later this week just to get a second dustbuster for a gift. None of the other "special" Dawn products are included (pump bottle, air freshener bottle, etc.) I hope this helps you both with your scenarios!

Another included sale for the P&G is the Gillette Satic Care or Mach3 Shave Gel for 2$. There are 55c/1 mqs (x2/28) for both and there is a 55c/1 Satin Care coming in the 3/1 P&G

Would make them 90 cents each. $13.50 for 15 of them = 30$ needed for dustbuster LOL I'd like to see the face of the cashier ringing 15 shave creams :-)

Here's the cheapest scenario I've figured out so far:

OOP - Item - Price Before coupons - Cats if included in a deal

6$ - 4 Air Effects 10$ (get 5$ oyno)
3$ - 3 Crest Premium Toothpaste (3.49 shelf+) 7.50 (get 3$ oyno)
6$ - 2 Mach 3 12$ (get 5$ oyno)
90 cents 1 SatinCare shave gel 2$
30.40 Before coupons
15.90 OOP get 13$ oyno cats

or

4.50 - 3 Oral B Advantage Artica toothbrushes (if included 3.29ish shelf price) 7.50 (get 3$ oyno)
1.00 – Crest premuium toothpaste (if needed to get 3$ oyno wyb 10$) 2.50
6$ - 2 Mach 3 12$ (get 5$ oyno)
6$ - 4 Air Effects 10$ (get 5$ oyno)
90 cents - 1 SatinCare shave gel 2$ (only if Artica toothbrush is included to get over the 30$ mark)
=

34$ before coupons if Artica is not included
31.50 before coupons if Artica is included

17.40 OOP (if artica is included) get 13$ oyno
17.50 OOP (if artica is not inlcuded) get 13$ oyno

I think I have some .75/1 Qs....would be from RP or SS. As a matter of fact, I think one was in this weekend's paper. My Qs are in the car and I am at work (and it's too cold!!!!) or I could tell you for sure....

pittsburgh24
02-25-2009, 07:57:56 AM
the .75/1 super pretzel q's were in 2/22 RP. There was also a .75/1 pretzelfuls (we always seem to get .75/1 of these). All other q's that we've received in other inserts for super pretzels were .75/2 - I think this is the first time we ever got a .75/1

This is what I planned to do. I don't really need the dust buster.

Dawn dishwashing liquid 2.50x2 = 5.00 - 2.00 coupons
Mr Clean 2.50x2 = 5.00 - 2.00 coupons

Total OOP $6.00 and $5.00 cat

Then
Mac3 razor $12.00 BOGO = 6.00- 5.00cat = 1.00 OOP and $5.00 cat

Then
Febreeze Air Effects 2.50 x 2 5.00-2.00 coupons
Dawn dishwashing liquid 2.50 x2 5.00-2.00 coupons
- 5.00 cat = 1.00OOP and $5.00 cat

Then
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal 2.00 x3 6.00-3.30 coupons(.55 coupons)
Jimmy Dean Breakfast bowls 2.00 x 5 = 10.00-5.50 coupons(.55 coupons)
Colgate Toothpaste 1.50 x 8 = 12.00 - 12.00 coupons(.75 cents coupons)
Colgate toothbrushes 1.50x8 = 12.00 - 12.00 coupons(.75 cents coupons)
Bic Comfort razors BOGO 2.74x8 = 21.92 - 16.00 coupons (2.00 coupons)

-5.00 off order of 50.00
-5.00 cat

Total OOP = $3.12

Total OOP for all $11.12 without tax.

I just need to know if the cat for the febreeze, dawn, Mr Clean is limited to one? If so I will not do the first transaction. ALso, will this work at Giat Eagle as I have not shopped there. I am in Lancaster, Ohio so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I went this morning at 6:00am and got 136.22 for 11.14 + 3.66 in tax. What a great morning and still made it to work by 7:00.
Although I am still trying to figure out why I got another $5.00 off coupon with my last puchase. But I did. Plan to go back after we get the P&G coupons this weekend. Hope they have some items left or restock. The toothbrushes were not marked down but rang up at $1.50 at the register.

that would explain it though, all I get from RP is Pizza hut coupons!!

Another disturbing thing, I bought a giftcard yesterday to put me over my $50 at a store that does .10/$50, since the gift cards are at.20/$50 right now, and it doesn't roll like that anymore, my giftcard balance is set aside, like it's waiting to get to $50 in GC and I only got .10 earned

Hey - I don't know if anybody is going to do a matchup of the ad this week - so I was holding my post. However, there are Lean Cuisine frozen lunches on sale 4/$11. You might want to hold off buying these. They usually go on sale every couple of weeks 5/$10 (at G.E as well as other stores). That's a much better deal. I also found that at GE if you buy 5, you get a catalina for 1.50 off of 6.

Thanks for thinking for me, I gave it up for lent:giggle2:

that would explain it though, all I get from RP is Pizza hut coupons!!

Another disturbing thing, I bought a giftcard yesterday to put me over my $50 at a store that does .10/$50, since the gift cards are at.20/$50 right now, and it doesn't roll like that anymore, my giftcard balance is set aside, like it's waiting to get to $50 in GC and I only got .10 earned

receipt reads:

amount spent toward your next fuelperks! discount: $26.88
Gift Card bonus : $15.00

you may be right - I bought 2 $25 gc's on mine and my sister's cards last night and they gave me the full .20 for each

During the $.20 for $50 gift card promos that is how it works at MOST GE's. However, if you buy gc's at a locations which offers double fuel perks all the time, the total amount of your gc's just counts towards your overall total not towards your gc total. I have tried to see if a double dip would work (double fuel perks for the total and for $50 in gc's) but it doesn't.

pssssttt - look in your 2/8 GM inserts - you should have the .50/2 q's in there LOL. I just realized that I had them in my inserts from VA.

I am sooo stoked - I need to pick up a bunch of these for an elderly couple I help out - I thought I only had 2 of the .50/2 q's - I have 12!! (2 of mine expire on 2/26 - they were from the January GM)

Here's another fun fact for the day :-)

The Oral-B, Crest, Glide buy 10$ get 3$ oyno of HBA includes more than just the items in the sales paper. Which, I kinda figured being that there is no Glide advertised LOL

I bought 4 of the Oral-B Stages (P&G item!!) kid's toothbrushes, they are 2.99 each. I used 2 of the BOGO Oral-B Stages Manual Toothbrush coupons and got the 3$ oyno catalina :-) We need/use these more than Crest toothpaste. And that means 11.96 towards the dustbuster, with only 5.98 OOP.

Another woohoo moment - they got the Wet Ones back in stock (well...they HAD the wet ones in stock at my store LOL) I got 14, used my Raincheck and the cashier said that doing it half-price each is the only way she knows of doing it anyways. I told her to go ahead and ring them in at 1.50 because the price was 2.98, and now it's 2.99 - instead of doing one 1.49 and one 1.50...they were going to be free no matter what. lol She was super excited to see that I got them free. I have one more RC left and 7 coupons...hopefully they'll get more in soon!

Ok - scenario for the dustbuster:

Buy 4 febreze (use 4 $1/1 q's) pay $6 - get $5 back
Buy 4 crest premium toothpaste - use 4 $1.50/1 q's - pay $4 get $3 cat
Buy 2 razors - use b1g1 q - get $5 cat and pay $6

OK this Newbie has cut out all her coupons and is ready to go to GE and see what happens! I don't see how this will total $30.00 to qualify for the free dustbuster though. Is it the original prices that will ring up so I will qualify? I am nervous because I have only shopped this way at CVS but I think and hope I am ready to branch out. I am SO MAD that I screwed this up. I didn't read through all the threads clearly enough to understand that you have to have your grocery bill total $30 or more. I bought $30 worth of P&G stuff, but with coupons, etc., it was $15.xx. I didn't get any kind of tearpad or cat from the GE receipt thing, so I am thinking I am screwed. DANG IT.

That's just speculation about the 30$ total. If you have 30$ worth of P&G items, and have those circled, I'm sure you'll be fine. Really. All we know for sure is that the form and the website both say to buy 30$ in P&G items and send in the receipt and form.

The 5$ oyno prints out after you pay, so only 1 per transaction. Um, I think as long as your cashier if fine with it, the hba cat will scan for anything. I used it today with diapers.

It is working on shelf price. I purchased 6 Jimmy Dean and 1 New York Toast, sale price was 7.50 and I got the $1 Catalina and the free movie Catalina.

I just got back from three GE trips. We have many by us. Anyway, the shelf price DID NOT work for me on the frozen food items.

I bought:

4 Jimmy Dean $2.99 on Sale $2.00 = $11.96
4 Pretzel $2.19 on Sale $2.00 = $8.76
2 Digorno Pizza for One $3.79 on Sale $2.50 = $7.58
2 State Fair Corn Dog $3.79 on Sale $2.00 = $7.58

Shelf Price according to receipt was $35.88
Sale Price according to receipt was $23.00

I got a $2 OYNO and NOT a $4 OYNO cat.

I already was holding them to their 'wrong item price guarantee' so, I was up there getting a 'free' item. Then I was arguing for my other $5 CAT for the Air Effects Hawaiian (which by the way does NOT work for printing a $5 CAT). The CS was not knowlegable on all their policies and was a coupon 'disliker' so I didn't want to get into the shelf price thing with her over $2. I will call the Catalina program tomorrow.

Just an FYI If your store has the Oral B bonus pack toothbrushes (they say BOGO on the pack) the $2.00/1 2pk Q from 2/08 PG works on them. In fact the BOGO pack is pictured on the Q. So here's the breakdown:

Sale Price: 2/$5.00
But you will need (3) at shelf to get the Cat, soooo...
3/$7.50
- (3) $2.00/1 2pk = $6.00
= $1.50/3 pks
Receive $3.00 OYNO
HTH!

Use them just like any other coupon. You only have 2 weeks to use them though so don't forget them. Some stores let you use more than one per transaction, mine don't so I just break up my transactions. I am getting the Bic Comfort Advance razors with my 5.00 HBA Catatina. They are BOGO and and after the 2.00/1 coups are .74 ea. The other 5.00 Catalina you got can be used on any grocery purchase you make. HTH.

Frank, I think it's going to be a product that may have caused this, by not being downloaded in the list, last year someone came up with a file of all the products that were in this promotion. I checked GE website and couldn't find it, so if someone remembers were we got the list last year, maybe we can get it again this year.

Also, JMO, but P&G has always used the before coupon total in the past for their promo's. Just last month Save A Lot had a pg promo, buy $20 get a $10 gift check, I only paid $13 after coupons and received my giftcheck last week.

In the ad it stated that the Pillsbury Grands Sweet Rolls were 4 for $5. I was planning to use the .40/1 to get then for .45cents each. BUt when I got to the store there was a sign that said that the AD was incorrect and it is actually the regular Pillsbury Sweet Rolls on sale (not the Grands).

Just curious if they can do that? If the ad says the wrong price don't they have to honor it?

When a store flyer is compiled and printed, they usually include a disclaimer that says:

"Not responsible for typographical errors."

+

Now, in their kindness, a manager can give you the typo price but they do not have to.

+

What helps the store's side is if they take the proactive approach and post signs stating the typo / mistake.

Yeah, Terry's right - they were in the flyer (I missed you saying that - sorry) I also took a picture of the shelf tag LOL just in case a cashier would question ringing them up 2/2.98.

I do the same thing with RA or CVS rain checks too - I cut out the ad and staple it to the RC so if there's any issue I have the ad to show the cashier.

I'm slowly getting used to asking for RCs - I never thought of that before I started couponing, but now I'm realizing just how beneficial they are!

Yes! Big time with the RC. I have one from Kroger for Chicken of the Sea Tuna for .50 a can. I am waiting out the full 30days hoping there will be some rare coupon for it coming out. (doubtful)

Also, I am wondering about the vandekemps fish. I'd love to score some of those coupons. But hope I can find a GE that runs out of one of the 'varities' so I can ask for a RC and give me a month to find the q's.

Another Note:

Hi

What did I do wrong here on the frozen food offer? Prices are Advantage card sale from ad:

2 Pepperidge Farm Texas Toast - $5.00
2 Pepperidge Farm Mozzarella Garlic Bread - $5.00
1 Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread - $2.50
5 Stouffers French Bread Pizza - $11.25-$1.00 (WYB4)

Based on shelf price the above things would be over $30, based on advantage card price it'd be $22.75 ($23.75 be4 the $1.00 WYB4 on the pizzas). I got nothing from the Catalina for frozen food or Redbox (did get all the PG ones so the machine was working).

I'm thinking the French Bread Pizza doesn't count even though the sign and the ad says Stouffers is one of the brands. Any thoughts? Should I call Catalina (if so help w/ where to find directions on how to do that would be really appreciated).

Thanks!

:wavehi:Take you receipt to the customer service desk they will give you a gift card for the cats you should have got. I had to do the same thing yesterday I got a $9 gift card because I bought $30 in frozen foods and 4 dawn dish soap and did not get any cats. I did not get a free movie because they had no way of printing a free coupon for Red Box.:shrug7:Hi

Thanks!

Heck, both the CS rep and I looked and missed it. I had a bunch of the Qs saved up for them. I guess live and learn. I didn't realize they were on sale until I read about them on HCW or I would have been able to point them out to her. I just assumed it was an in store special.
Thanks all! Reps coming around! You all are so sweet :giggle2:

It worked perfectly! What is the best way to use the $13 register coupons. Are they something like the ecb from cvs where you try to roll them over each week or do you use them like a mfg cpn. Thanks again to all who walked me through this...I appreciate you..REPS

If there is an opportunity to roll the cats over, I do. Only having two weeks until expiration makes that harder and I often have several other sale items that don't produce cats so that eats up my previous cats. I still make sure I use those to sale items or items I normally would buy and can't find for less somewhere else.

One good way to roll the cats is to do the promotions in the same week a few times because like CVS it will spit out another cat even if you've used it on the same promotion at least this has been my experience. I know Walgreens does not so GE is different in that perspective if you are familiar with it.

When I went to the Altoona GE to get some of the cinnamon ones, they were the mini tubes and didn't seem worth it to me. They looked like more for a family of 2 vs a family of 5.

I tried to do the frozen food deal last year based on shelf price and it did not work for me. I don't even think I'm going to bother with it this year.

Not me either. Same thing with last year. I called the CAT company this morning and they will call me back 'when they can' after the figure out the problem. I asked if it would be today and he said he had a lot of work to do.

I'll post my answer from him when I get it.

Neekyme - Did you get an FSI coupon booklet with your paper with March is Frozen Food month? According to National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (http://www.nfraweb.org/) we should be getting a three page coupon booklet in the sunday papers this weekend.

Yup, PB is right - imo anyways - The flier they show on the website is almost exactly like a 3 page section of the RP. A slightly different layout and less coupons - but sounds like that's what they're talking about.

It had these coupons in it:
Bird's Eye Steamfresh Vegetable or Rice Varieties - $1.00 off 3 (x4/11)
Dole Frozen Fruit package – 75 cents off 1 (x4/30)
El Monterey Taquitos product - $1.00 off 1 (x5/31)
Kahiki product, any - $1.00 off 1 (x5/31)
New York Brand frozen product – 40 cents off 1 (x6/1)
On-Cor Family Size Entrée – 30 cents of 1 (x5/31)
Popeye, Allens or Veg-all SteamSupreme Brand Frozen Vegetables – 55 cents off 1 (x5/31) DND-5
Red Baron Pizzas - $1.00 off 2 (x5/29)
Rosina Meatballs 32oz+ - 75 censt off 1 (x5/31) DND-5
SeaPak items - $1.00 off 2 (x4/30)
Tai Pei Frozen Entree or Appetizer - $1.00 off 2 (x7/31)

It was super easy to miss - it was hidden down in the bottom outside corner on a page that with stuff that didn't seem to go with Wet Ones LOL The CS rep at one store flipped through it a couple times looking for it until I told her where to look on the page. At least the coupons have a long date on them - maybe we'll get lucky and there'll be another sale :-)

LOL is "there'll" a word? Or is it a Pittsburghese thing - coz my spellcheck is telling me it's not...but it clearly means "there will" hehe

Thanks so much for the link - I hate when they give a general statement in the ad and then somewhere else there's an actual list of working products!

Is anyone else praying for an Eggo coupon and sale? We're out - I don't know how my kid ate the bazillion boxes we had - but they're gone....Thankfully english muffins were bogo last week and I stocked up on those. He'll just have to settle for muffins until there's a coupon for Eggos! LOL

Totally OT - kinda sorta - but on mypoints coupons there is a 5$ off 1 Huggies Gentle Care and a 3$ off 1 Huggies Natural Fit. 30 day rolling expiration I think. You can print twice.

Boy would those go well with a sale at GE and the cats from this week LOL

One more question...

Has anyone had GE's heat and serve soups? They are around $6 for 32 oz. I have coupons for free salad, free baguette and free 2-liter soda WYB. Does that sound like a good deal?

I did this deal 3x the last time that they had it. The bread needs to be used ASAP as it hardens really fast.

The soups are OK. I prefer to get the warm Chicken Noodle Soup, you can get more noodles when you fill your own container. I tried the Chili and used it for Nacho's and Chili Cheese fries. Not bad.

At my GE there are peelies on the Diet Dr. Pepper--$1/2. Dr. Pepper is now on sale 3 for $4. So a peelie makes them .83 each. Not too bad I guess.

Also peelies on the Dinty Moore Beef Stew that's on sale. The peelies are for .55/1 any Dinty Moore Big Bowl --I think wyb a 24 oz can of Dinty Moore...not sure.

No, you can't get (2) $5 cats, only one per transaction. And remember, if you are working on the P&G Dust Buster deal, you must have $30 of P&G products on one receipt. You have to mix and match products to maximize the cats on this deal and get the Dust Buster.
