I just got an email from Giant that I will automatically get a $5 of 50 thru 2/26. The subject was "What's up at your Giant".

Its pretty rare that I spend more than $20 at any store (except Costco)!

And Giant should know that!

Different subject line for me: "Special Savings at Checkout", but I still got the same $5 off $50 offer. Does anyone know if the $50.00 is before sales and/or before coupons, or does you final out-of-pocket total have to be over $50

well, based on my receipt from today, it must be 500$ after all discounts and coupons to get the $5 off. My total before tax was 48.10, and I used $9 in coupons. I completely forgot about this deal, otherwise I would have had DH go get the Bob Evans breakfast sandwiches he needs for work anyway. Oh well... life will go on. we did get a bunch of meat for a good deal!

I did this today and it took the $5 off after the store discounts, but before my manufacture's coupons.

I got a regular mail coupon from them for this week that gives $8 off $50, it specifically states "Promotional value is taken off net purchase (after discounts and coupons) when you scan your Giant card". I don't know if that's a couponing standard for them or not, but I do know that I won't be spending $50 there! :hysterical: They need to work on their deals.

There was also a coupon for free Quaker Instant Oatmeal in the home mailer, now I might stop in for that. If I take my own bag will they pay me 5 cents to take it home? :whistle67:
