I know it seems obvious and they 'shouldn't' double a DND q.. BUt they always have. the cashier and then the manager that I asked afterward gave me the 'sorry ma'am' speech. This changes many a plan...a lot of IPs DND...
does PNS actually get reimbursed for doubling? I had guessed not, but who knows....

I think they just started that, even if it scans and doubles itself, they take it off and enter it so it doesn't double.

Really, wow they take it off after it doubles? I've never had a problem. Could it be just a specific cashier thing?

I have found the copps stores follow this dnd rule more than the pick n rip stores.
just my thoughts

hmm- this could seriously curtail my pick shopping. Nothing happened tonight, but I am not sure if my coupons said dnd or not

I was told at Copps today that I could only use 1 IP. It must be a new policy or something. But my store doesn't even look at the DND coupons, just scans them through and they double. If they didn't have double days, I would stop shopping there.

isnt it wrong use of a coupon if you do AGAINST what it says? I thought we were't suppoed to do that here?

I never pay attention to the dnd because the store did not. The last time I was at PnS the cashier manually entered the 1 $1 coupon that was a dnd, so it would not double. Luckily it was only 1 of the coupons, but that was an extra $1 I thought I was gettting, definately affects how I will plan my purchases.
I do not have a problem with them having a policy, it would just be nice to know what that policy is so we can plan our shopping trips. YMMV is a pain in the butt.

I've always made a point of putting my insert/peelies/non-IP coupons on top and making sure that the first 5 can be doubled. I really am not one to try to push my luck because I don't see that many other people using coupons at my area stores.
I also make sure that none of my transactions are right at or close to $25 - I try for $40. This way I don't stand out too much and my deals don't trigger the coupon police to swoop in. I guess I do all of this because I get such close strutiny at WalMart, and it is just habit now.

It would be wrong to argue it, if it didn't double. If you hand a someone a coupon that the store doubles on it's own dime and the computer automatically doubles it, the person passing the coupon has done nothing wrong.

FYI, I went to three PNS's today : Pewaukee on Capitol, Pewaukee on KE, and Nashotah on 83. All three doubled the first 5 coupons regardless what the verbage on the coupon was (DND, no verbage). I even stacke the coupons with DND after those without such exclusions, and it didn't matter.
PS: I don't usually go to more than one store each week, but since there was so much variation in poster's experiences, I decided to "test" the three stores on my way home from dropping off my daughter from school this a.m.
