Good work 2febboys! You will find that your percentage of savings will increase from week to week as your supply of coupons increases with the passing of time. Hang in there! This is one of the few hobbies that will actually save you $$$$$$.

well, well, well, if I meet you in the Bi-Lo I might take my top off.........male here.........you think I'm going to let all you women get all the deals....?
Bi-Lo is a good source.....they get probably 40% of my food dollars, even though they stopped tripling, what seems a looooong time ago.
Another Bi-Lo tip:
when you buy an item look at the price sticker. They have many items whose price does not expire for weeks out. If a certain item's price does not expire until a few days or weeks later, you have plenty of time to get the deal, no need to hurry to use all your coupons at once. This is helpful when your freezer is full and you need some time, or they were out on what you "thought" was the last day of the sale, and other reasons.

for me, each week my totals got lower and lower, for one because I was getting so much for my money and two I didn't need to get as many things. and you get better and better at matching up the deals and coupons. it is so exciting to cut your grocery bill in half and get just as much and most of the time more than what you used to.
good job!! keep going it will only get better and better!!

I agree this site is awesome. I went to Bi-Lo this past weekend and bought 276.87 and only spent 151.83 Out of pocket. I split my order into 2 orders but I wish I had split it more to get the ham points.
276.87 total
-125.04 Double coupons and bonuscard
151.83 OOP
I am thinking about getting a freezer for the garage because the fridge and freezer is full.

I ended up buying another freezer about 4 months into this uber saving. I made the mistake of getting a smaller chest freezer, now I own that smaller freezer plus a larger upright freezer. I wish I had just spent the money at first and got the larger freezer. I bought my first freezer at Thanksgiving because a grocery store had the turkeys on a very good sale 3 weeks before thanksgiving and there was no room in my Frige/Freezer. I wished I had planned better and had more time to buy my freezer too-I probably could have gotten bigger for the same price if I had more time to look on Craigs List or in the classifieds.
