As you can see by this being my first post, I am a newbie! So I had a couple of quick Q's regarding these deals as I am attempting to go to my local Albertson's chain today.
1. The products I am buying that are a part of the catalina deal are all on sale. Do I need the total at the register to be $25 (as that's the total it needs to be) using the SALE price, or using the REGULAR price? I don't want to come up short.
2. Do I need to have the same exact type of each product (i.e. if I am getting 5 Swiss Miss, 2 Manwich cans, 2 Hunts products, 2 Pam cans - each brand needs to be the exact same product verus various products within that brand?)
3. What do I do if the catalina doesn't print out at the register after all that?
Thanks for any advice in advance and I hope these Q's make sense....

Welcome to HCW!
I hope I can answer your questions.
1. You have to be at $25 with the sale price. So the ketchup is $1. If you buy 25 ketchups, you should get the $10 OYNO. The regular price was $1.99 (I think). Somtimes it does work that you can buy $25 worth at the $1.99 price (in this case you would need 13 to be at $25.87). But I believe that someone already tested this idea for this particular promo.
2. The ads dont' always list everything that's included in the promo, so sometimes you can buy different things that aren't listed. You need to check your store for tags or signs if you want to buy something different but the same brand. Often someone on HCW will send an email and get a reply with a list of UPC's for each product included in a particular promo. That makes it a lot easier for us. But I haven't seen a list yet for this particular promo.
3. If your catalina doesn't print, I would go straight to Customer Service. There is also a number you can call Catalina Marketing directly. I don't have it handy, I think it's in the FAQ's section.

I shop these specials quite frequently, and you have to have $25.00 total in those products in the offer. You can mix and match whatever is on the ad. Sale price total needs to be $25.00. Not after coupons. I take a pad of paper and keep track. sometimes if they have more than 1 promo I separate my transactions doing the $25.00 first then the rest so when they ring everything for my $25.00 the register states $25.00 then keep going this way you know very fist thing you have $25.00 worth of the products. I hope that makes sense, sometimes how I explain things can get confusing.
