Red Alert! Red Alert! Great deal on chicken at FW!!

I went to FW tonight, mostly for the $.50 Chex mix and some relatively cheap Kraft Cheese, but like always I scouted around the store. And what should I find in the meat section but a sign over the chicken that said "Manager's Special--Whole Fryers--$.69/pound--No Limit!" I only got 4 but that still wrecked my carefully planned budget. How could I pass up a deal like that? I've only seen them cheaper once, at Food World last summer when they were $.59/pound.

There were also about 30 boxes of Italian Herb Pasta-roni on the sale rack marked down to a dollar so I got some of those (leading to further degradation of my carefully planned budget) and used the $1/4 insert coupons.

I don't know if these deals are going on everywhere--I shopped tonight at the Pine Forest store in Pensacola.

Unfortunately for me, I DID have to leave some of those chickens behind--LOL!! And some of the Pasta-Roni too!

I don't know how long that deal will last. They weren't on the verge of expiring so who knows why they were on-sale.:shrug7:!

I went into that FW yesterday morning and they had the sign up for 0.69/lb whole fryers. BUT, the fryers' label was marked 0.49/lb and that's what they rang up for! :BigHand:
