The Food 4 Less stores in my area take expireds up to 6 months. I found that out by accident!

So I plan on getting the green giant vegetables in sauce, using a .50/2 q and a expired $1/2 q, making 4 boxes for 2.50!

I also plan to get the Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread and use the free coupon exp 9/7/08 and the Kroger milk for 1.99 and use the $1 off milk when you buy Soft & Smooth bread.

appleeyes84 are you in the Chicago region? If you are Cresthill takes expireds up to 2 or 3 years old.

I am new to shopping at this store, and was wondering if the expired coupons beep. Thanks.

Coupons can beep for several reasons other than being expired, but if your store accepts expired coupons you shouldn't have a problem.

Yes I am, but I'm nowhere near Cresthill. Luckily I have Jewel and Dominick's to use those real old coupons.

I usually go to a Food 4 Less out of my way, but I'm going to try the one near me and give it a shot.

Southsider, do you know if food 4 less or ultra will take expired winetags?

THanks!

I only found out about Food 4 Less and Ultra taking expired coupons this past August. I have used expired wine tags at Jewels & Dominicks with no problem with the dates. I'm trying to remember if I have used an expired wine tag at Food 4 Less yet and I can't recall doing it. I gave my bf a list to pick up at Ultra since he was in the area and he didn't have a problem with it being expired but he did have to explain to the cashier why it was okay to use. He said that I have to be the one to use the winetags. He does feel funny about using winetags because of arguing about no wine or liquor purchase being required. I just ask them to read it all the way through and if they still don't get it I will point it out. I love how they always put that part in the smallest print possible.

If they are out of the flavors you want then be sure to get a rain check. I get one even if I get other flavors if they are out of a flavor I want. Also if you can't find the flavors you want and if you have a Safeway nearby check out the ad in their forum for the up coming week. They have it listed in the Northwest for a penny less.
