Gosh, I love those things. :) I especially love them when I get them for items I am getting for free or close to free with coupons.

Basically, at the gas pump there is a scanner. On the screen it will ask if you have a gas coupon. Select yes, scan the bar code, and it takes it off the total price, once you select the grade.

You can scan up to 10 of them for one fuel purchase, basically stacking the savings. Just select "Yes" when it asks if you have any more of them. I have been getting gas from .31 - .68 a gallon for the past 5 fill ups.

how do you know what voucher value a product will generate ?

are they standard expiration date ? like 2 weeks or 1 month from print date ?

do vouchers generate at FF stores that do not have a gas pump ?

There is generally a tag hanging underneath them in the store that indicates they will produce one and how much it will be for. I don't know if there is a master list anywhere, but I will contact Farm Fresh corporate and see if there is one.

The ones I have gotten have all had an expiration date of three weeks later.

yes, Friday's coupons are doubled but you can use it anyday after that for your discount. I got a .68 discount last Friday.

I just came from FF/Merrimac Trail, Williamsburg. Had a 4 vouchers totalling .12 off per gallon. There is a big red square that reads "SCAN", the LED will ask you if you have any discount vouchers & you will have to scan each one individually. Once scanned, you select your fuel type i.e. regular & it will take off the .12 (in my case) the per gallon price. I threw them out when I was done, I believe they are for a one time use.

Of note, using the .12off brought my gas down to 1.80/gallon (regular); WaWa just up the street is selling regular for 1.82/gallon.

So, you may want to price shop i.e. you may do better on Wednesday's saving $$ with doubles than just a few more cents off on double gas points on Fridays.

which of these is correct:

item x = 2c fuel express discount

BUY item x on FRI, earn double = 4c

or

BUY item x ANY day, earn 2c, REDEEM fuel coupon at the pump on FRI, receive double = 4c

PMFan...I'm not sure, my understanding is this (and please correct me if I'm wrong)...only certain items generate "fuel pump savings". But on Friday, those same items "double" the value of the savings. So, using your analogy.

Item X=.02 on Tuesday, buy X on Friday=.04

The items are marked in the store with a bright yellow sign with a red fuel pump (as shown in the pix you found in the link)

So...I go back to my comment in the above post. If you save .50/gallon (a sum total of several fuel savings) & you buy 5 gallons...that's a savings of $2.50. In order to rack up the points to get an almost free tank of gas, you would have to shop on Friday's to score the double points.

But if you do 5 doubles on a Wednesday for 1.00 couples, you have a total saving of $10 (5 x $1/doubled)......

I think the gas savings is great but I would prefer to shop on double dollar days, I think you accrue more savings that way...just my opinion.....:shrug7:

I think, again I may be wrong, but you get double for BUYING qualified items on Friday. I do not believe they double existing vouchers on any day.
