I'm thinking that the Quaker $5 MIR could be combined to possibly make this an even better deal.

I didnt see this posted but on the last page of my flyer there is also a P&G deal:
But $20 of participating products below and get $7 ONYO
Some of the products are:
Gillette Hair care @ $3.99
Crest TP @ $1.99
Old spice deodorent @ $1.99
Gillette Mach3 or Venus Disposable @ $5.99
If this is based on shelf prices and combine with the coupons coming out in this weekends P&G, here is one scenario:
(2) Mach 3 disposable @ $7.69 reg. price each
(1) Gillette shampoo @ $4.99 reg
Total reg price: $20.37 Sale price: $15.97 Use Mach3 BOGOF and Gillette shampoo $2 coupon and it comes to $.98 for all three items after the $7 ONYO cat. It could be a moneymaker if the register deducts the full price of the Mach3 coupon instead.

SuperJ, Where did you see the Quaker $5 MIR?
I bought 7 Quaker items this morning, used 7 - $1 coupons and got $3 off automatically. This works out so much easier than worrying whether the catalina machine is broken in the aisle I checkout in!
I also puchased 4 Land o Lakes singles this morning for $10 oop, but got back the $5 catalina.

I think the Quaker $5 MIR is coming from an Acme supermarket flyer, but maybe someone can confirm, as I have not seen it myself (I'm not even sure there is an Acme in the NY area where I am located).
Thank you for posting this early report. And I totally hear you about worrying whether the catalina machine is working or not! So frustrating!

Yes, it was in last week's Acme circular. No, there are no Acme's in NY - Acme is part of Supervalu, who owns Albertsons, Shaws, Jewel and Acme. I see someone has posted the form details in the database from the Albertson's circular.

Definitely no rounding up, so good thing you bought the extra box. I was $.06 short for the Savorings, because I forgot to grab a Totinos.

I bought
4 Rold Pretzels (Sourdough) Reg price 2.89 so needed 4 to hit $10- same as if it was sale prices (just edited the price - I went back to the store to do it again and paid attention to the price! But they were out of the right kind of pretzels.)
16 Progresso Classic Minestrone Soup BOGO reg price 2.59
3 Fruit Gushers new berry flavor 3.39 regular price $2 sale price
Got the GM $8 and Frito Lay $2 catalinas
This isn't as good a deal as the Acme GM deal two weeks ago. Even after 0.50/2 PRogresso coupons, it still cost me $3.36 for the GM Stuff ... (Wahhh- what a baby!) And I guess $2 each is good for the Rold Gold, but I am spoiled.

If the rold pretzels were $3.39 reg price then 3 of them should be over $10 reg price.
For the progresso soup, doesnt the free one count towards regular price so wouldnt you need to only get 8 cans and pay for 4?
btw, do you know if the Kenilworth A&P works at regular price?

On Friday (in Waldbaums) McCain DID NOT work for me ...
I purchased
2 Classic french fries
1 Steak Fry
1 Baby Cakes
2 Sweet Potato Fries
----------------
Shelf price was $4.59 each, so reg prices of $27.54
No Catalina - so something wasn't programmed or the catalina machine wasn't working (it was earlier reported that a different combo of 6 bags of fries did work)
Also as a note ...
The Wholly Guacamole rings up as a straight price of .99 and not a VS item (does not ring as $2.99 reg price - $2.00 savings). So, be aware if you are using this item to get to your $25 minimum for the 4 day slae items

ouch! I hate when that happens!
Another Waldbaums store had the Totino's shelf price at $2.69 so 12 would've done it, but they only had one box left, and there was no one in sight to ask for help or a raincheck, so I walked out.
I can't imagine spending full price on Totinos. You get a box of 15 little bites for $2.69. That comes out to be almost 18 cents a piece!

btw, do you know if the Kenilworth A&P works at regular price?
Yes, Kenilworth has always worked at regular prices but the management is hostile to couponers.
And you are right, the FL deal should have worked with 3 Rold Gold if they were 3.39 each, so either I am not remembering the price correctly, or I short circuited when I was shopping ( and I have already sent off the receipt for the Quaker rebate, so I can't check.)
I just figured out that if I get 12 Progresso soup, that should qualify for the GM and if they let me use 6 of my 0.50/2 coupons I traded for, my net should be under $2. Since this is to donate to the food pantry, that's an ok price for me.
Today I delivered
10 boxes of Special K
10 boxes of Pop tarts
8 Boxes of Total cereal
and lots of Quaker cereal from PM
to the food pantry in New Brunswick NJ that I help supply. Last week, when I was there I left 10 copier paper boxes full of food- about 30 boxes of cereal and 30 cans of Progresso soup plus BC potatoes, Bisquick, Fiber one pancake mix (from Acme)... they were all gone today.

Does anybody know the regular price of the individual Yoplait yogurt cups? Also, the regular price of the Trix yogurt pack?
Hello. I live in lower NY and was just in my local A&P to do the Yoplait deal. The regular price of the individual Yoplait cups in my A&P are $1.09. I'm not sure about the Trix yogurt, though.
Unfortunately, my store apparently doesn't work off the shelf prices. I did self-checkout and bought 30 containers ($32.70 regular price). I scanned my bonus card after ringing everything up (and just before using my coupons), but no Catalina printed. The printer machine had a green blinking light (as long as it's green, I should be good to go, right?).
I am beyond bummed. Is there some trick I am missing in order to get the Catalinas to print when working off shelf prices? Also, does anyone know how to tell if you're A&P works off shelf prices vs. sale prices before actually checking out (as I did)? There are 4 A&P's in my area (only 2 offer self checkout, though).

Here's my experience - I tried to do it with the BOGO free GM cereals, but I haven't ever done this before. So I had no idea that the BOGO cereals only take off the lowest prices first, regardless of the cereal. STUPID STUPID ME b/c that's not how it worked for me at S&S where I normally shop. So I bought 4 expensive cereals (reese & oatmeal crisp) and 4 cheaper ones - Cheerios. So even though I bought 2 boxes of reese & 2 boxes of oatmeal crisp and 4 boxes of cheerios - it deducted the 4 boxes of cheerios and I had to pay for the 4 more expensive cereal OOP. Honestly, I still saved money and better than I can do at Stop & Shop any day but I had to pay $4.xx more than I thought. Should have bought all Cheerios but DH wanted the Reeses.
I really don't like how it doesn't have you scan the card until the end, cause then I have to double check whether or not each item rang up correctly. Also, the Quaker Quick Oats didn't ring up properly for me either.
Oh... do A&P Bonus Bucks roll?

I don't think it's the store that doesn't work on shelf prices, the machines are not programmed on the store level. (Otherwise the labor costs would be insane! Why would they program something more than 100 times when they could program it once?).
I thought that the catalina machine had to have a steady green light, not a blinking green light. The last time I had a blinking light at Acme, I asked the Cashier and the paper was jammed. The other possible explanations: one of your items wasn't programmed correctly, or for some reason the store was off line.

What I am trying to figure out is if the prices of the free cereals in the BOGO deal count towards your 30 dollar limit? So, if you do a B1G1 at 4.69 per box, does that count as $4.69 or $9.38 towards your $30 dollar total. This is confusing!!

I did the deal with Progresso soup which is also BOGO and both counted towards the price of the deal.

Last night, I noticed signs posted in the store at the customer service desk as well as the GM cereal display that said something about an error and even offered an example of a correct scenario. They said something to this effect: 'The B1/G1 cereals must be of the same variety to qualify for the b1/g1 sale. For ex, they must both be Honey Nut Cheerios. Hence, buying one Multigrain and one Honey Nut Cheerios as a set would not work. Sorry for the inconvenience'.
I'd assume your situation is the exact reason for the notice. In order to be guaranteed the correct deduction (to have the higher price taken off), like cereals must be bought together. To ensure the correct discounts, you could technically split up your order into smaller ones using like varieties, but then you'd most likely be losing out on the Catalina, unless you'd be buying massive amounts of each where you could get your totals up that high.

I haven't gone yet or done any of this week's deals yet.
But I just wanted to mention if you need vegetable oil and didn't get to do last week's Wesson deal, there is an okay deal this week for Crisco vegetable oil.
In the Waldbaum's ad, which I assume is the same as A&P's and Superfresh's, Crisco Vegetable Oil 64 oz (or half gallon) is on sale for $3.99, and there are insert coupons for .45/1, so after doubled coupons, that's $3.99-.90=$3.09. (There are also .55/1 Crisco product coupons in that same insert but they say do not double.)
Last week's Wesson deal of $2.00-2.33 per 1/2 gallon bottle (after Bonus Bucks) was definitely better. But as I said, if you missed out on that deal and need some vegetable oil now, then I think $3.09 for 64 oz or a 1/2 gallon of vegetable oil is an okay price. I'm basing this on recent sale prices for 128oz / 1 gallon bottles of vegetable oil in the range of $6.99 or 7.99, at least in my area.

Yep... I saw these signs in the store tonight. The stupid part for me is that I bought 4 honey nuts cheerios and 2 of the Reeses and 2 of the Oatmeal Crisps - it's not like I bought an odd number of any 1 type of cereal - like 5 honey nuts cheerios & 1 Reeses for example. They would not even let me split them into smaller orders either to get it to work right. It just doesn't make any sense and they should fix the advertising on this. I can understand if I bought 5 of one kind and 1 of another or the example they gave... if the advertised b1 get 1 of equal of lesser value free. But sheesh, that's not what I did. Anyhow - nothing I can do about it so whatever anyhow. This time around I just did the Turkey Hill deal - got 4 cartons of ice cream for about $7. DH insisted on getting a carton or 2, so the best deal was to get 4.

It looks like the working products so far are

McCain Classic fries,
McCain Curly Spicy Fries
McCain 5 minute fries

May or may not be working
