:wavehi: I just heard from a co-worker that Giant will running tripples starting this Friday. I don't know if it is for the whole week or just through the weekend. She said they will triple coupons upto 99c face value and there is a limit of 5 Qs per transaction (no limit per card or per day!) Does anyone know if this is really true??!!

I haven't ever heard of Giant tripling before. They just started doubling q's over .50 recently. It would be great if they did start tripling though!

Thanks for the heads up Luv! I will check my Giant circular for next week that I normally get today in my mailbox. Hopefully there will be mention of the triples in it:smile:
ETA: Ack, what do you know.......today, of all days, I didn't get the Giant flyer in my mailbox!:hectic1: Maybe tomorrow........

To compete with HT and SF and shoppers they might have to do that. I myself did not shop at Giant recently. If they triple, that would be great.

There are 5 coupons with the insert and you have to use that in order for a manufacturer coupon (one for each manufacturer coupon) to triple. There is also a limit of 5 per family

Thanks jgeorge! I see the 5 coupons in the front page of my store flyer. I am in NoVA. Bummer, only 5 per household, but better than none

Kelloggs Waffles are $2 ea. That would make it free with triple coupon and .75/1.
Yoplait single server yogurts are 50c ea. With .40/6 cpn it would come to 1.80 for 6.
Please add if you can find anything else.

The database shows 0.75/1 Lysol Toilet Bowl cleaner from 01-04-09 SS. Tripled, it should make the cleaner pretty cheap. I don't know what the shelf price is :shrug7: Is there a way to check prices online?

Laughing Cow cheese would be quite cheap. I have some 55 cent coupons and I think they are on sale for $2.50. However, I don't have the triple coupons in my paper.

I don't have the triple coupons in my Giant flyer either:sad: Perhaps, only certain stores are having them....
ETA: Yes, you can check prices online at peapod.com

I was thinking to myself, how generous of Giant (not) to give us five whole triple coupons. But, 5 is better than none. It's just not much, compared to Bloom's, Harris Teeters and my oh, so favorite Shoppers (I sure hope THEY do their double/triple event again soon - it ROCKS).
I'm wondering, if you have more than one copy of the insert, you could use the other set of 5 triple coupons on another trip, couldn't you? Why not pick up extra newpapers from Wednesday or whatever day your flyer usually shows up in the paper?

We didn't get the triples this time, but we got them a couple months ago when our store had just remodeled.
The pillsbury brownies should be free if you have the .75/2.

Nice, I wonder if it is only the remodeled stores like yellowbelle said... Our store was remodeled 3-4 months ago. You may want to call your store and ask! I am looking a the store coupons and it doesn't say specific to a store or location. And, YGPM

I wish the limit was higher too! My store coupons say 5 per household though, so I don't think we can use more than that :shrug7:

I was told by CS this morning it's 5 triple coupons per transaction. I bought kellogg's waffle ($2 each) and camplell simple harvest (3 for $4 ?). I'm in NoVA. BTW, luna bar's ($1.25 each) should be free with .5/1 q's from the whole deal booklet. Mr. Olive yellow banana pepper stripes ($2.19) should be free with .75/1 blinkie (DND5). The triple q's are everywhere with the weekly circulation in the store. The cashiers were not imformed about the triple and didn't know what to do with them. So remind them to scan each with every man. q's. And I believe the q's exclude overage.

FYI: SCO; scan triple (giant) Q first, then, MQ. I was told it's 5 per "visit". :giggle2:SCO cashier was very helpful. Be on the lookout for "Mr. Peanut" jars of peanuts. They are on sale for .50 each. In the nut isle, the regular planters have peelies for $1.00/2.

The ad for Giant on Crain Highway, Glen Burnie, Md had them but the store ad for Pasadena, Md did not. The triplers are not store specific so I'm wondering if they can be used at any Giant.

Yes, you can. First scan the giant triple Q, and then the mfg Q.
