:smile:Does anyone know if there are any active rx coupons? I need to get a prescription filled and was curious if I could save some more money.
Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of any in the Columbus area?

The Mayfield Hts GE always seems to have the fuelperks coupon in their ad.

Don't forget that you can take any competitor's coupon to GE for redemption. I just did this with a Target coupon for a GC with any new or transferred Rx.

And don't forget that other competitors take GEs coupon... usually for full value ($30).

Once upon a time ...

+

The Giant Eagle in Middleburg Heights, OH had a grand opening.

05/15/2008.

Each week's Giant Eagle flyer had a $1.00 off FuelPerks with new or transferred prescription coupon in it.

Around 12/18/2008 was the last week one of these coupons appeared in the flyer.

Giant Eagle at Parmatown had their grand opening 12/11/2008.

Ditto for the $1.00 off FuelPerks offer.

Well, it was time to fill a new prescription at Giant Eagle.

I went to the Middleburg Heights Giant Eagle around 01/08/2009 .

When it came time to pay the Piper, I handed the cashier one of those oh-so-nifty $1.00 off FuelPerks coupons.

She replied, "This is coupon from the Parmatown Giant Eagle. We no longer accept this coupon and I scanned (accepted) this one as a courtesy."

Now, nowhere on the coupon did it state a specific Giant Eagle.

That's awful, Terry! You're right, I don't believe those are store-specific.

Putting a 'close' to their grand opening celebration.

Fortunately, I did not say anything (like object / complain) and then her next words were that they were going to honor it, just this one time.

I love the "just this once" line. If I had a nickel...

Actually, the ad I got from the Parmatown store when I went 1-5 had valid only at the Parmatown Pharmacy on the Q in small print. Don't know if other weeks said that, but that weeks ad did.

Do any stores still have this in their ad? The Mayfield Hts GE hasn't had it in there for 2 weeks now, and we just used the last one out of our recycling bin from an old ad.

The one from there always said VALID ONLY AT MAYFIELD HTS but was always accepted at the South Euclid one (Have never been able to find one in their ad).

So if I have a CVS/$25.00 or Riteaid/$30.00 cpn for a new or transferred prescription, GE will match that and give me a giftcard?

I can't answer for 100% sure, but it sounds like it from the posts above. To be sure, before you go, call the pharmacy so you aren't 'stuck' getting your Rx there (or you don't waste time / gas driving). I have noticed that the same Rx will cost different amounts at different pharmacies....

Thanks I will call..I have noticed too when I take a prescription to CVS or RA to get the GC it is always almost double GE $4.00 price. It still works out to be a $10-$15 savings though.
