I believe it also excludes Bi-Lo GC. I think I read that in the store a few days ago. I was going to buy up a bunch of Bi-Lo cards until I read that fine print.

It is a good thing if you need the gift cards for anything. I know I bought a lot of gift cards at Christmas time just to take advantage of rebates and used the gift cards myself to buy various things (groceries, Christmas presents). Like the Best Buy buy $50 get $10 oyno cat. I knew I would be buying some video games and just bought them from there with the $50 gift card. I also did a Lowes one, buy $100 and get a $20 gift card and I also got another rebate in addition to the $20 gc. It is all about figuring out how to work the system....Kinda like buying something you don't want just to get the overage.

Best buy had Dyson vaccumm cleaners on sale so I did this and bought my vaccumm with giftcards and then got a coupon for a free $25 gift card. I got the gift card tonight! Worked like a charm, thank you!!!

Last week our TV blew its bulb AGAIN, so we decided to get a new one. Went to Best Buy, made our deal (got them to lower a clearance price from $2399 to $1999) then went to BiLo and bought 20 $100 gift cards for best buy (TG they had enough), and got my 4 $25 GC for BiLo. I was so happy!
Another way to get even more out of Best Buy purchases is to buy it online through one of the many "referral" sites (rebate/cash back) and do store pick up. I did that (at another time) and got an extra 2% back, you can still use your gift cards to pay on line too! Same thing with other stores they have GC for...Kohls is 3%, ebay is 3% atleast where I have my rebate account.
Also I LOVE my Dyson and would happily by another!

OOhh, I never thought of buying it online thru one of those cash back programs!! I have a $100 gift card left so when I use it, I'll make sure to do it online - thank you!!! I am a member of the reward zone there though, so at least I might get a $5 reward or something.
I love it too! It is amazing how much it picks up. I vacuumed my bedroom with the old one and then with the Dyson and it still picked up tons of stuff ! I can't wait to take it to my mom's house and embarrass her - she thinks she keeps her house really clean, hehe :hysterical:

Anyone know if you can use the AT&T Phone card to pay your regular cell phone bill or is it for one of the prepay phone things?

I think it is a prepaid minutes type.

Do you have to buy the whole $500 on one receipt or can you buy them over time...I have read the entire promotion on their website and can't seem to find this.
I am thinking about buying for gas (Shell) but can't stomach $500 at one time.

They can only sell 7 cards on one receipt (atleast that is how it worked when I did it) so you either have to buy all cards at one time or if you wanted to buy smaller amount cards (like I did) then they have to be done back to back and then they use the $25 GC q from the pharmacy dept (atleast they did for me). If it is all in one transaction then it spits out a catalina for the $25 GC that they then scan to use as payment for the $25 BiLo gc.
So you would have to buy all $500 in one trip whether it is in one transaction or back to back.

Thanks for the information...this makes it more difficult to get $500 unless you have a situation where you have a large purchase anyway.

Not necessarily. With Xmas coming depending on how much you spend, it might work. You can buy gift cards and then use them to buy what you were going to buy anyway. I personally buy a lot at ebay (games), kohls (clothes my kids needs- nice filler under the tree) and best buy, if I couple that with a gift card for gas I MIGHT be able to get to $500...though will still probably be a hundred or two short...I try and limit my kids to $100 each for christmas and maybe $50 for DH-we don't buy for ANY extended family so I would need to come up with another $150 and not sure I want to spend that much in gas cards since that is about 3 months worth of gas and we budget monthly. Another idea is gift cards for resturants if you go out to eat at all.

Thanks for the ideas...I need to put some thought into it and see if I can come up with a workable solution. We budget monthly also and I just spent down my rebate money on a new freezer so no fluff in the budget right now. I usually use my rebate money to fund other rebates/deals and then just cycle the money back into my rebate account, which if I had it this would be a prime possibility. I am now working on paying for Disney World over Thanksgiving 2012...
