Looks like we skipped November and December! But we can start the new year off with a new Member of the Month profile. Here is rbunnymom's member profile Q&A!
Thanks Terry for your great contributions here at Hotcouponworld!:BigHand:
*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@*@
Name in real life: Terry
Age: 49
Home State: Illinois
Marital Status: Married for almost 29 years to my high school sweetheart.
Kids: 2 kids (young adults actually) boy 22 and girl 20
Pets: 4 rabbits(Blue Bunny IceCream-Bluie for short, Truffle, Lucky and Jack) ~ all live indoors and yes they are litter box trained ~ Truffle is my Avatar.
AND
2 Cats ~ Gracie is quite plump though she eats the same food as Rena who is quite dainty.
In Her Own Words:
Little Known Factoid: My coupon habit pays for my scrapbooking habit. I am a Creative Memories Consultant and will trade scrapbooking supplies for coupons!
Favorite Money Saving Tip: Contacting companies about their products to either compliment / complain or to request a coupon. I have received many Free or money off coupons this way. The coupons I can't use are great to trade for ones I can.
Stores I shop at: CVS, Walgreens, Dominicks, Jewel, Ultra and Target ~ All stores are witin a 5 mile radius of each other!
Coupon Organization Method: I have probably tried just about every method there is.
I started with shoeboxes and index cards then purchased this awesome coupon box ~ What a mess when you drop the box in the store. And others...I have finally settled with following system.
The Binder System using Baseball Card Sleeves has worked best for me to take to the store. No more spilled coupons! I take my binder with me when I do my main shopping trips for the month and in the car for planned CVS or Walgreens trips. I keep a small fabric coupon holder/ sorter(awesome find) in my purse with coupons I need for upcoming sales at CVS or Walgreens and for items I might need in between my regular shopping day.
Plus, I have a 12x12x6 stackable storage box system of 3 boxes(think craft store) with one for uncut inserts, one for cut coupons to trade and one for my own coupons that need to be sorted into my binder or purse coupon holder. I spend several hours on Sunday usually organizing, putting coupons into my binder and clearing out expireds. My husband is great ~ he helps by cutting out all the coupons and marking products we need in the sales ads!
Best Advice to Newbies: NEVER EVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT YOUR COUPONS IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE STORE. You never know when you will find a great deal on something you weren't looking for. If you do forget your coupons ask at the cs desk if you can come back with them and how long do you have to do so. Many stores have a 1-2 week period(some less) in which you can bring your receipt back with the coupons.
