I have been shopping at Piggly Wiggly and it is just getting way too expensive. So I need a new grocery store. I have just started couponing and am a bit overwhelmed so I thought that I would start with just one store first.
Which would you recommend for better prices? Copps or Cub? Any other tips?
Thank you!

I believe Copps is associated with Roundy's/Rainbow. In the Twin Cities, Cub Foods is much cheaper than Rainbow. Check with your new store if it doubles or if it takes expireds. Rainbow doubles on Wed here and Cub takes expireds up to 3 months after in this area. HTH!

I'm in GB, WI, and I go to both Copps and Cub, depending on the sales. I only hit Copps (it is priced a bit higher in general) on Wednesdays for double daze (spend $25 before coupons but after store discounts, and you get to double up to 5 coupons valued at $1 or under). I go to Cub when they have deals like this week's, which is fairly often....I'd say I do a majority of my grocery shopping at Cub. They always seem to have blinkies or tearpads all over the store, which is not the case at Copps. I occasionally go to Festival when they have a super good deal, probably about once a month.

Thank you both very much!
I'm just north of GB and rumor has it that we are supposed to get a FF out here as well. I assume they are more expensive than Cub or Copps.
As I stated I am really new to couponing. I've been learning the CVS deals and have that somewhat down. I just find it so much harder to find the best grocery deals with so many store choices.
I will definately keep my eye on this board!

I live in GB as well (if you have any in diapers see my post!!!!)

FF is more expensive, I do however like it when I have the kids and need to drop them in the tot spot to shop and i like their deli. Once in a while there are deals but not often.

I used to do Copps but they have pretty much cut out any of their good deals.

I now go to Cub because they take up to 3 months expired I can do a LOT more shopping there!

This week is the BEST week to shop there!!!!!!!!!! I am getting LOTS of free or near free stuff :)

Thank you A&A! I will go checkout their deals and get a card. My problem is that my coupon stash is minimal.

Can I just add that I HATE Copps new store (Main St on the east side of GB)? Seriously, I hate the set up--the produce area in the very front of the store is a total maze with tiny pathways, so if just one person is standing there you can't get through. The layout as far as where everything is also totally sucks and makes no sense to me! I liked it when ALL the meat, fresh, frozen or whatever, was in the same spot--now I have to run all over the store!
Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the thread, just wanted to add that!

haha yeah i live on the east side, i used to go to the old one all the time, except for the meat it was all easy lay out.
It is a very nice store, but seems hard to navigate, and i used to think Cub was lol
but yeah, I am not a fan, however I will be heading there tonight for some stuff, Jacks pizza, and there are some .75 coupons out there........doubling em should make a deal....

You want to know what a novice I am? LOL I was so proud of myself yesterday, I spent hours scouring for printable coupons and matching them with the ads and the deals.
But when I checked out Wednesday and looked at my receipt, I asked why my coupons didn't double? Ummm, I was at Cub! LOL I've so much to learn.

Hey I know I am late on posting on here, but I like in GB. What is this I hear about dollar store having sunday papers for $1! Which one? I have only lived up here for 3 and a half years, after I got married. My in laws always said not to shop at Cub foods because it wasn't good. And now it's going out of business and I hear that they have great deals???? Ahhh so are there any other stores that are better then Copps? and Festival?
