our ad says buy 3 for $10 on the kelloggs and get $3rr. I bought 3 frosted flakes used 3 $1q's and didn't get one. Manager said because I used q's. Anybody else buy 3 (or 4) frosted flakes and use the $1 q's and get a $3rr?

My ad says 4 for $10. I did the deal this morning bought 4 frosted mini wheats used 4 $1/1 Mq's and got the $3 register reward. Its probally because you only bought 3 boxes of cereal. If you have more Q's or if the store still has your Q's, I would go back return them and get a 4th box and you should then get your $3 RR.

I live in pr(Puerto Rico) our ad says buy 3 for $10 and get the $3rr but I didn't and asked the nice manager(some are a pain) he said because I used the q's. I have heard talk how the employees make up anything when your rr don't print...But I never had problems with this manager before, so I believed him when he told me this. I put back my theraflu and triaminic because I was afraid the same would happen.

Hi, Today I bought 3 bottles of Centrum vitamins for a total of $21. I then used 3 $3 coupons and paid $12. The ad had buy $20, get $10, Buy $10 get $5. I received no RR's. The manager stated that the coupons cancelled out the RR. Is this correct? So to receive RR's the final amount should be $20? Thanks in advance.

No the coupons did not cancel out the RR. Contact Catalina Company and they should take care of it for you.
Q: My RR/Catalina didn't print. What do I do ?
A1: The store will give you a form to fill out and mail in to catalina
A2: 1-888-8coupon, option 3
A3: use the online form: Contact | Catalina Marketing (http://www.catalinamarketing.com/contact/)

If I buy 4/$10 frosted mini wheats - (4)$1 =4/$6 Get $3RR, will I get the $3RR if I pay with the $5RR from the benifiber deal? Can I use the $5RR to pay for it since I am already using 4 MFR Q? Thank you for your help.

Yesterday I went to Walgreens and purchased several items. Included in those items was $20 worth of Clorox products. 4 clorox wipes, 2 clorox oxy clean stain treater, and 2 soft scrub with clorox. All products were pictured in the ad but the $5 RR did not print out. The cashier said maybe it was because I used coupons. I told her I didn't use any clorox coupons and even if I had, it would still print because I used 4 $1 Kellogs coupons and the $3 RR printed. Anyone else having trouble with the Clorox RR? Thanks in advance.

okay it's been a while since I have done any WAG deals.
I went to WAGS tonight and was going to do the cereal deal. I had to go get a clerk to see which variety of cereals were included in the 4/10. There were no signs. The manager said just the ones pictured. I proceeded to pull a couple of boxes off the shelf and grabbed my MQ. He told me that if I use my MQs I would not get my RR because I had to spend $10.00. I explained it was quantity not $. He wanted to argue I just put the boxes back and left.
I know somethings have changed since this summer when I was doing WAGS big time.
Question 1: if it is quantity, example 4/10 get 3RR MQ should not effect my RR?
Question 2: if it is a $ amount, example buy $20 get $10RR does the amount have to be before MQ or after?
Question 3: What variety of special K, rasin bran and shredded wheat are eligible?
Thanks
Shelly

I'm posting on behalf of an HCW lurker (come out and join us, J...we have cookies!), who has been running into problems using RRs, even with managers involved. Her experience:
I was told just last week (by a WAGs AM) that the $$ off your next visit RRs that we get from Walgreens are not really manufacturer's coupons as stated right on them. If this IS true, that means that WAGs is not getting reimbursed for them from the manufacturer. This would explain all the problems that many have had using coupons to obtain them and using coupons and RRs to roll them because loss prevention would come into play. If the store is not getting reimbursed by the manufacturer for them, then each and every time we roll one it would be a loss of whatever the face value of the RR is to the store.
I'm kind of trying to figure out WHY WAGs is offering these great ways to save money, but then have many managers across the country who do everything that they can to prevent people from getting them and/or using them.
Would you mind posting a question to Irishlass verifying that the $$ of your next visit RRs are in fact manufacturer's coupons (meaning that WAGs gets reimbursed for them by the manufacturer)? If not, who pays for the face value of the RRs? If is is actually WAGs that covers the cost of the RRs, this would explain A LOT!!
So...are RRs redeemed to the manufacturer like coupons? Is there some sort of more complicated cost/profit sharing going on? TIA!

The only RR that Walgreens doesn't get reinbursed for are the Walgreen ones, like when they had the spend 25 get a 5RR, that was Walgreen sponsored and Walgreens ate the cost of those, along with the holiday RR's.
Walgreens is getting reinbursed for RR that are from the manufacturer. They are just like mfg coupons only called RR.

I haven't had any problems getting my RR to print, but I did have a problem trying to use them. Is there a limit on how many you can use at one time? and I thought you can put any overage using RR onto a gift card?? Is that not true?
Example, I had $35 RR, my bill came to $32....but I was only able to use $25 in RR

I am sure some one with more knowledge than I will comment but I this is a YMMV thing, one of my regular stores will let me use 2 at once, the other will only let me use 1 at a time although they have always been really nice about letting me split my purchase into 2 orders so I could use 1 with each order. I am never able to roll it onto a gift card.
You could always ask the manager at your store how many they allow you to use at once.

I am so glad I found this site! Thanks so much for all the info! Walgreens employees are not as well informed as you are! It is great to find out the answers to some of my questions so easily. Also, my Walgreens has posted on the cash register that register rewards will not print if you use manufacturer's coupons in the transaction. According to what I have read on this site, this is not correct. I have been told this before and had to take out my manufacturer's coupons and just lost the value of them. The one time I e-mailed Walgreens I never received a reply other than the message received automatic reply. I have missed register rewards several times and have never been told about the Catalina form.
One thing I haven't seen, though, is why register rewards sometimes print only after the next customer's first item is scanned. This has happened to me at least twice and I really don't understand why. Any ideas?

:shrug7: Not a clue on that one. I notice most print after the transaction is done. If a cash deal the drawer/till has to be closed for the RR to print.

Today I was at two different WAGS and told the same thing. That if I use a RR to purchase on something that would normally generate a RR, it won't generate. I had a $5 from last week I was going to use on Pepsi plus cleaning products. Clerk broke up the checkout in two parts, because, she said, the $5 Pepsi wouldn't generate otherwise (Non-Pepsi RR being used). OK. NP. Except on the subsequent total, my RR was giving her probs, so she didn't use them all. Oh, well. I was headed to another WAGS to get cereal bars, because this one didn't have the Fibre One. Only NutraGrain. So at WAGS #2, I have my coupons, and my RR, and again, I am told I won't get the $2 RR for the cereal bars because I am using RR. I decide to go ahead and go for it. Behold. Much to the cashier's surprise, my $2 RR spools out.
I have been rolling RR for months, and this is the first I have heard this. I was told this was a new policy to try to restrict to one use per customer per week. Anyone else been hearing this?

Well, last night I used a $10 Wyeth RR to purchase Tostios products and got the $10 pepsi RR. So the register had not been changed. If you were using a $5 pepsi RR to buy the new pepsi products, then you would not have gotten another RR, but that should have been the only reason.

You should be able to use them at one time, however, it does seem some stores will only let a person use one RR per transaction. I would get my stuff head to the front Register like you own the place. If they say no to using both in one transaction,
A..... break it into 2 transactions.
B..... Show them on the RR where it states something to the effect " number of items cannot exceed number of coupons. RR's are considered a coupon when tendered.
Hopefully you won't have any problems at your store.

It's a real gray area and best left unspoken. Locally, the (MO) grocery chains have always prohibit milk when you need to buy so much for a good deal on a turkey or ham. The same prohibition with the coupon for or doing a $10 off $50 promo. However, I occasionally use a catalina to help pay for a milk at one of these grocer and never had a problem.

Thanks for the info - I just thought maybe the restriction of no dairy was just in certain areas, and that's why the other person was able to use hers towards milk

Coupons *shouldn't* affect the RR. Make sure you got the correct type of toothpaste, and the correct size- sometimes the size changes and the UPC also changes, so isn't in the system to count toward the RR.

Some state laws prohibit coupons on dairy products. If your RR restricts dairy products, then your state is one of those.

Some state laws prohibit coupons on dairy products. If your RR restricts dairy products, then your state is one of those.
Section 416-440 Rebates, discounts, allowances or gifts (http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/c400-499/4160000440.htm)
This is what makes milk in MO higher than IA, IL and other states not under the thumb of the dairy industry. The original law has been around nearly fifty years; so MO consumers have faced a floor on milk prices for half a century. Changes to Chapter 416 and truth of what in what you milk are necessary, IMHO.

i hope someone can point me in the right direction. I am very confused about Register Rewards and how coupons effect them. Last week, I purchased 4 boxes of Clariol Hair Color @5.99 each, TOTAL $23.96. The sale stated that if you purchased $20 of Clariol, you get back $5.00 in RR. I had two coupons for $5.00/ea and a RR (from a different campaign) for $2.00. I purchased other stuff subtotaling $31.60 before tax. No RR. The manager told me that since I had coupons and a RR I could not get the RR. Is this the policy or should I call customer service(?).
Thank you for your help.

Call Catalina at the phone number in my siggy line. Coupons shouldn't have made a difference, as long as you had $20 before tax/coupons. Have your receipt handy, they'll need info from it. If the products you purchased are included and entered into the system (UPC #s), then you should get your RR. There could have been a problem with the catalina machine or the UPC for the products you purchased aren't programmed to be included in the promotion.

I contacted the via e-mail about a year ago and got it worked out quickly. But, now it seems to be faster to call them, and it takes 6-8 weeks to get the RR in the mail. As long as I get it in the mail, eventually, it's better than nothing. :shrug7: If you don't have the time to wait on the phone, go ahead and e-mail.

You can use it on the next transaction. Make sure there's no exclusion on your RR- most of the time, you can't use a P&G RR to buy more P&G items, even if it's a different promotion. Also, if you're buying another razor and use the RR, a new one won't print.

Newbie here! I've been lurking and gleaning valuable info from you amazing people for months. Thanks! My question is probably one that has been asked many times before but just in case Wags policy changed in the last few days, I thought I would take it to the experts. So today I bought a Venus razor and used the $2q. I should have gotten a $6RR but didn't. I asked "why not" and was told because I used the q. That's never been the case before so was that just a creative excuse?

Welcome to HCW! You should have gotten the RR. I bought the Gamer razor, used the $4/1 q and got the RR. You can contact Catalina after 24 hours and they should be able to pull up info from your receipt number and mail the RR to you. Be prepared, it takes about 8 weeks to get it in the mail, but it beats having to return the razor and having to deal with the hassle of arguing with the person who told you it's because you used a coupon.

The manager came over and said he thought it was because they had the same numbers on the bottom of the reward. So, if they are from the same deal do they have to be used in seperate transactions? TIA
Did the cashier push the total button between each RR? That sometimes helps. I use multiple coupons all the time (eg 2 products, 1 q per product/same qs) and they have the same barcodes too.

Yeah, they kept hitting the sub-total and I even had them stick a pencil on to make sure a had enough items for the next reward to scan, but it still didn't. So, I should be able to use two or more of the same rewards, right? Thanks for your help.

There was a time when we couldn't use more than one of any denomination/promotion. This one might be programmed into the computer to only accept one per transaction. :shrug7:

I wonder if your total ( before tax ) was more then the total of the 2 RR together. They won't go thru if your subtotal isn't the same or greater then the RR.

If I tried to use the RR from the same "deal" even if the pre tax price was more than the RR deal it still wouldn't work. I just broke up what I bought into 2 or 3 or 4 transactions and it just worked. I've learned to just do that now.

I have a question about the maximum number of MFG Qs you can use per visit. I understand that the total number of your MFG Qs, and RRs cannot exceed the total number of items being purchased, but how does this work with BOGOs?
Example:
Can I use 1MFG Q and 1RR on a BOGO? Or is the free item not considered an item being "purchased"?
I'm trying to plan out next week's list, and I need to make sure I don't exceed the maximum Qs allowed.
TIA!

It shouldn't matter. :shrug7: Maybe they're just trying to track which RRs didn't print and why?

Using two qs during a BOGO sale is YMMV. Some stores allow it, some don't.

I have been doing RR for a long time. When I recently tried to do the razor, it didn't print. My favorite and best cashier said it was because my total after the coupon was less than the RR I would get back. She said if I had bought some other things, making my total more than the $4 RR I would get, it would have printed. any truth to this? She has always been so helpful, I really don't think she was making it up. I just returned the razor and used the coupon for the deal at Cvs.

I've never heard anything like that. If you had the correct razor, then most likely the catalina machine was offline or not working/out of paper or some other malfunction. I've had purchases that were significantly less than the amount of the RR many times and it still printed.
In the future, you can always call Catalina with the receipt information after 24 hours and they can look it up and mail you the RR. Sure, it takes a lot longer to get the RR, but you still get the item and your RR. The contact number is in my siggy line.

For the second week in a row, I have a smaller ad than on here. The blink RR deal is not in my ad. Do you think an RR would still print if I bought it? Or is it only if its in your ad?
I was really wanting those drops!!

I need some help with a transaction that went wrong today. Here is the scenario:
I went to Wags this morning and bought the Blink Eye Drops $7.99- $1.50 man. Q = $6.49 for the drops. I also bought $10 worth of pictures/prints, so my transaction total was $12.77. I got my $8 RR/cat back with no problems.
My husband then went to the store and bought the Blink Eye Drops $7.99 - $2.00 man. Q = $5.99 for the drops. He also bought 2 other items (which are part of the refunds in the ES booklet for March), with a transaction total of about $16.50. He used the previously earned $8 RR/cat to pay for part of the transaction and then paid the remainder of the $8.50. No RR/cat printed out.
He asked the manager and she said it was b/c he didn't spend the full $7.99 on the drops. When I heard this, I immediately called the manager. She kept changing her story. First she said it was b/c he didn't spend the full $7.99 on the eye drops. I told her that a "friend" had purchased the same product with a $1.50 coupon this morning and it printed out the RR/cat. She said it shouldn't have. Then she said he needed to spend $7.99 per transaction. I asked her for clarification; did she mean per item or per transaction. She continued to say "per transaction." I told her he did spend $8.50 even after the coupon/RR was applied. She corrected herself and said it was "per item/per eye drop." I reminded her that my "friend" did not spend the full $7.99 and got the RR/cat. She then said it was b/c he used two manuf. Q's. I told her my understanding of cats were that they we like cash to use on future purchases and asked if that was her understanding. She said yes. I pointed out that she had just said he used 2 manuf. Q's, but that the RR/cat was understood to be cash. She then retracted her "he used 2 manuf. Q" statement. She then said she didn't know, had no control over it, and there wasn't anything she could do "sweetheart!"
Anyone know what went wrong? Was it b/c he used the $2.00 manuf. coupon AND the RR/cat? I had told him I didn't want him to use the RR/cat to pay for it, but he did and I will be sad if that is why it didn't print out. I am just learning the rules of the stores, so maybe I was just uneducated about Wags.
Should I call Catalina and complain?
Thanks in advance!

You won't get the new RR if you use a RR from the same promotion to pay. WAG RRs do not roll.
Since your DH paid for his transaction with the RR you earned from the Blink eye drops, he should not have received a new RR for Blink.

Thanks for the clarification. As I said, I am still learning the rules of each store (i.e. Wags, CVS, Jewel, etc). Bummed, but was a great lesson learned. Maybe I will just go to another Wags and use my $2.00 manuf. Q to buy the eye drops and get my next $8 RR/cat. Since I won't be using a RR/cat to pay for it, but rather money out of pocket, I should be able to get my RR/cat like I did the first transaction, correct? Hubby can definitely use the eye drops!
Thanks again! :thanks7:

I'm a Wags newbie, so please be kind. I just made my first two trips to Wags today under the RR program.
1) Took advantage of the Colgate RR offer. I had three $.75 Qs. I did three separate transactions of $2.74 OOP and getting $3.50 RR for a total of $8.22 OOP and $10.50 RR. Would I have gotten the entire $10.50 RR if I did this in one transaction? I knew not to try to roll over the RR each time.
2) Later on that day, I bought two packages of Schick Quattro razor blades using two MQs from several weeks ago (expires late this weekO) and two store Qs from this month's refund guide. Original price, $19.98, but after the coupons, the OOP was about $8.70. I wasn't able to use the RRs because of too many coupons. I think I understand...I already used four coupons for two items. (actually 2 coupons 1 IVC and 1 mfg per item)
DH is thrilled..he got two packages of his favorite razor blades for over half off. And I wasn't getting any RRs...this was just his favorite razor blades.
However, I'm now confused...can I use RRs to pay for my Huggies and Coke deals next week? I have coupons for two packages of Huggies, one pack of wipes and four six packs (actually much more coupons than that, but that's what I'm using).
I guess I'm so used to CVS...Wags is a whole new ball game.

1) no, you would only get one RR per promotion, per transaction. Always break them up into different transactions
2) you can use one MQ + one WAG Q per item. RRs are counted as MQ, so use a filler item if you're trying to use a RR (one that isn't attached to another MQ)
You can use your RRs to pay for a different promotion and still get the new RR. Make sure that the items you want to buy are not in the same promo (or PM a mod / post a question if you're not sure). Also, many times P&G RRs have a restriction that they are not to be used for P&G items, so watch the wording).
Welcome to the WAG forum. You did great on the razor blades, DH should be proud!

Would it work next week if I bought two diapers, wipes and a 50 cent candy bar (coupons on the Huggies and wipes, but not on the candy bar) and paid with RRs? By theory, it sounds as if it would.

As long as you only have one MQ/RR per product, and you're not trying to use the RR from the same promotion, it should work fine.

I need to confirm this. I have four $2.00 RRs. My understanding is that I have to use one RR per item, regardless of the cost of the item. But can I use four RRs in one transaction as long as I have four items? And if I have coupons for the items I need to have at least one item per coupon or RR. So, if 4 coupons and 4 RRs then I need 8 items? TIA!

2nd store - 3 packages of diapers, 3 manf. coupons and 1 $10.00 RR from store #1, no additonal fillers. Prints another $10.00 RR
3rd store - 3 packages of diapers, 1 bottle of pepsi, 3 manf. coupons and 1 $10.00 RR from store #2. DOESN'T print $10.00 RR

You tried to use a Huggies RR on the next Huggies purchase. You can't use an RR on a purchase with the same manufacturer. That's where the one RR per transaction comes in. If your RR was from buying Blink or Colgate last week, that should work. You can use the Huggies RR to buy vitamins/supplements, cleaners, etc., just something Kimberly Clarke does not make.

I posted on this issue yesterday, saying that this wasn't true, as I'd used a $2 RR from something towards a Listerine deal. My $6 printed just fine. Last night, I had to run out for milk, so I thought I'd do another Listerine, paying for my tab with a $10 from last week's Kotex deal. The cashier told me he didn't want to take my RR because then I wouldn't get the $6 from the Listerine. He even called mgr to check for me. He said it was because a while back people would just buy something, then use the RR to buy more of that thing, get another RR, etc. (I rolled my eyes, and said "Can you imagine?" :hysterical: ).
So today, at the store where it worked yesterday morning, I got 2 Benadryl and another set of Listerine. Paid with the $10 Kotex RR. No cats printed. The cashier called over the mgr. He didn't ask how I paid, he just signed two raincheck forms and told her to make them out for whatever cats didn't print, to use on a future purchase. I wonder if it was because I used the RR. That will suck if we can't use them at all on any RR deal. As it is, I now have $15 in RR and I don't know what I'll spend them on. If I do the Listerine every day this week as I plan, that will be even more to use up. GRRR.

Hi all :) I'm new to Walgreens and to the Walgreens forum. I did look through the FAQ's but had a frustrating trip today and am not sure if I should email regarding it or not. First let me say that this is a new store, only second day they have been open. Hubby and I went in and were going to do 2 separate transactions for the listerine. I got 3 listerine, 8 dove, 6 peeps - had a 1.50 and .50 for the listerine and 4 1.50 off 2 for the dove and I paid using a RR from the Huggies deal. NO RR's printed -should have been 8.00 for the dove AND 6.00 for the listerine. Cashier and manager said it was because I paid using a RR and it didn't matter if I got it during a different promotion. We moved on to my husbands transaction which was 3 listerine and 3 of the .59 plasticware - a 1.50 and a .50 listerine coupon and the Walgreens cupon for the plasticware - we didn't use the 10.00 Huggies RR to pay because of them saying it made it not print RR's - and STILL the listerine RR' didn't print, they ended up putting 6.00 on a gift card for us but woud not listen that I should have gotten them on the first transaction too. What should I do? I'm so frustrated that it didn't work out right!!!!

I am new to RR
Question: I was told to go buy diapers for my daughter at walgreen and use the $5 coupons and get a $10 RR. I went a few days ago; I bought 3 jumbo diapers with the sale of $2/2 jumbo bag and used 3 $5 off coupons for all 3 - so I would have spent about $33 on this purchase, after the coupons and store discount I only paid $18.36 cash. I did not get a RR I was told that it didn't matter about coupons I should have gotten the RR - but online on walgreens.com it says this "Purchase amount of $25 or more must be before taxes and after all manufacturer and Walgreens coupons and discounts. Limit one coupon per customer per offer." Of course the date was, '*Valid in Walgreens stores through December 6, 2008.'
Should I contact catalina like you stated in earlier posts for the $10 RR or was I not eligible?
Now this leads me to my next question. I plan on going back to buy more things. I will get RR's on the purchases I plan on getting. But, If I use those RR on a 2nd transaction, will I not get more RR? For example: If I buy the vidal sasson hair straightener for $19.99 it is supposed to give me a $10 RR back - so I get it for $9.99. But, if I use a couple RR to pay for it (I am aware I cannot use more coupons then items - so I will throw in some cheap fillers) will I not get the $10 RR ? Or, will I still get the RR for the purchase - even if I pay for it with RR. This is just an example - I plan on doing different transactions kinda like that.

This is just an example - I plan on doing different transactions kinda like that.
thanks in advance
The buy $25/get $10 RR was last week at Wags; did you go last week (March 8–14)? The Jumbo packs of Huggies were on sale for $10. A few other things were included in that promotion as well, including Kleenex. If you purchased the correct items during the right time frame, you should have got the RR, regardless of whether you used coupons or not. Call the Catalina company and have your receipt on hand.
You can use RRs to pay for other purchases that generate RRs as long as they are not from the same promotion/company. So you couldn't use the RR on the straightener to buy the hairdryer and get another RR. You can't use an RR from P&G to get another P&G RR. But you could use a Huggies or Coke RR to pay for the straightener. My Wags is now only letting me use one RR per purchase; I posted above asking whether that is a new policy or just my Wags, but no one's answered. You may want to ask at your store.

Welcome to HCW and the WAG forum!
The Huggies diaper promotion was last week, so you weren't eligible for the RR if you did the transaction this week.
You can use RRs to pay for a different transaction, as long as they are not the same RRs you are expecting from the transaction. Also, P&G RRs cannot be used on P&G products (wording on their RRs).
Hope that makes sense. If not, post more questions.

The Huggies Diaper RR is over, was a week? or two ago........so nope you are not entitled to the RR for that deal.
If you use a RR to pay for an item that produces a RR, just make sure you don't use the same RR you got for purchasing it. Don't buy the gillette gamer razor with a RR you got from purchasing a gamer razor.
I think you have the idea of how it works. Good Luck

Unless the RR has that wording (like the Holiday Cash RR did), then your should be able to use more than one per transaction. Keep in mind that the store manager sets the policy for that store, so they can limit if they so choose.

Thank you - I understand. I went to the walgreens and got rr for the reach toothbrushes and one deoderant ($6 RR and a $1 RR) I saw that the $25 get $10 RR is on Johnson and Johnson Baby stuff and also a $30 get $10 RR on Aveeno - I have $2 off any avenno coupons. I saw the face cleaner I use is on sale for $5.99 so I am going to do that for the $10 RR. Thanks for your help. I did find out that I can use more than one RR to pay for items. I accidenlty used my RR I got to buy the same thing again when we went back because I added the buy one get one free purex (I also had a save 50cents coupon) because my hubby told me to use them and I didn't think. I didn't get any back :( - I went to the manager and he allowed me to return them and then rebuy them to get my $6 and $1 RR. I was soo happy.
Thanks everyone for your help - you're soooo wonderful!

I just came back from Wags (it's one that I don't normally go to), I stopped to see what they had. Last night I found my q's for JJ so I was going to pick up the items at
this new store but they didn't have the little tag up that said you would receive RR on these products. I asked the manager and she didn't know, so she asked the cosmetics clerk and she stated that the RR for JJ were over with - she claims it was last week. I tried to argue but ended up leaving anyway. I am going to try my normal Wags.

Ok I'm a newbie and a newbie to wags as well. I just wanted to make sure that if I do more then one RR deal (meaning 2 seperate things that should produce a RR) that I will get both RR's. I don't need to have them ring up each deal seperately do I. :hectic1:

if the catalina is a mfg one......nope you can't use it with another mfg.
RR/Catalinas are intended to be used at Walgreens

Is there a rule of thumb to follow on the best way to roll one RR deal into a different RR deal? I always seem to have trouble deciding which item to purchase first, and then which item to roll that one into...

I start with the cheapest product..........like chapstick, then roll chapstick RR onto softsoap. From there...... I play it be ear as to what is out now that I want or what is coming up the next week or two that I can roll my RR into.
I am sure we all do it different, I am sure others will post their way of doing it

I had a bad experience last night at Wags...the cashier that was there is normally very friendly...well last night I don't know if he had a bad night or if I had done something (if I did I don't know what it would have been) but I did 4 or 5 trans and on the last one I got the Coke, candy bar, chapstick and Softsoap b/w. Well, when the thing for the free b/w started to come out there was a strange sound from the machine and he Ripped the catalina for the free softsoap!! Then he started to throw it away!! But I asked him if I could have it, (I should've talked to the manager then but I really didn't want to make him feel like I was trying to cause him trouble because I think he's a really nice guy...most of the time...so I just left. BUT....then when I started thinking about it on the way home I realized that I didn't get my RR's from the Chapstick!!! :( So what do I do now? Is there still a way for me to get that or not? The cashier was saying that the machine was out of paper but I think it may have just been jammed, but I don't know that for sure...I wonder if my RR printed after they got the machine working again after I had already left!?!? Do you have any ideas on this Irishlass or someone? TIA ;)

Did you purchase your RR producing items in separate transactions or for example did you purchase two Shaving gels in one transaction? If you buy more than one deal of the same deal in one transaction only one RR will print.
The only other thing I can think of is if you used the first RRs on the second transaction of the same items. If so, that is the reason.

This was my first purchase at Wags. I bought the Listerine (2) for the RR, I bought the Pepsi (4-12pks) for the RR, I bought the chapstick (1) for the RR and I bought the Shave Gel (1) for the RR. I only got the RR for the chapstick and the pepsi. The ones for the listerine and the Shave Gel did not print.

If the Listerine and Edge were the right ones then there must have been a glitch. You can do one of three things:
Explain the cat did not print and show your receipt to see if they will credit you that amount
Return the Edge and Listerine and try again
Call the Catalina company and they will send you a check if everything matches up on the receipt

Thanks, I emailed Catalina a little while ago to see what they say. I can't easily just return them since I used coupons as well and that would get messy. Although I have been reading a lot of posts today about this and it seems to me that several people have had problems when they expect more than 2 RRs to print. But that just may be a fluke.

You're welcome and I hope the catalina company gets it straightened out for you.
Also in my experience, returning or exchanging an item I've used coupons on has not been a problem whatsoever, but I understand your hesitation. Your store(s) may be different and of course one must factor that in too on the best option. :wink7:

I'm new to the whole Walgreens thing ..
I went to get some of the skintimate and chapstick RR's going on and then I was told that I could not 'roll' my skintimate over into my chapstick, when it was a whole completely different order because the rr read 'on your next order' when this WAS my next order ..
is this true?

No, that is not correct. You can use the skintimate to pay for chapstick in a different transaction (with other items/fillers because the RR is for $3 and chapstick is $1.99).

Can you use 2 RR from a purchase of product A to purchase product B?
For example, if I have 2 $2 Chapstick RR, can I use both of those in the same transaction to make a new purchase over $4? (I know the new purchase must have 2 items if I use 2 RR.)

I used 29 edge/skintimate coupons last night in 1 transaction. The only issue is making sure you have a product for each coupon. So if you are using 29 rr's you need to buy at least 29 items...:smile77:

Is there ANYTHING from the Walgreens website or a letter from Corporate which explains the RR ?
It seems that different Walgreens say different things. I have not tried doing any deals yet for RR's because of today. I went to get the Skintimate bottle 6 oz. I got the wrong one. I asked which one produced the $3 RR and they said they didnt know Skintimate had a deal . How could they not know if this produced RR back? They were sold out !
The cashier told me" just letting you know in advance , if you use a MFQ in a RR deal, you will NOT get the RR"
So this tells me that most cashiers and even the managers do NOT know exactly how the Register Rewards programs really works!

Do you live in an area with the smaller weekly ad? Sometimes, those areas don't have all the deals posted here. As for the employees not knowing, I would contact your District Manager, which should be listed in the phone book.
Check out the FAQ : Walgreens Catalina / Register Rewards FAQ (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/walgreens-catalina-deals-register-rewards/43971-walgreens-catalina-register-rewards-faq.html)
You could also call WAG Corporate, if you can't find the info you're looking for, but they will most likely direct your questions to Catalina Marketing or the store manager.

I have searched/looked for an answer but have not found one yet. What I have found does not specifically state anything about RR's. It does state coupons being used on the purchase of an item or items and then doing a rebate is fine. Is this also true of using RR's to pay for the item(s) you plan to submit a rebate for?
For instance, Glade Lasting Impressions is on sale for $5.99 and there is a $2 (I think) rebate. I have a $4 MFQ (making it $1.99 after MFQ and would use that one the purchase of the L.I.) and would also purchase a small filler.
What if, for example, I also had a $2 RR from a chapstick and used that (plus a small filler on the purchase) to pay for the transaction with the L.I.
Then, I'd submit the rebate. Would I still get it? TIA! :thanks7:

Hi, everyone, I'm pretty new here, been lurking for a couple weeks now and have learned a lot but I'm having an issue I need some help with.
I thought I'd be able to roll my skintimate RR with my Colgate RR but no luck in my stores. It never fails that if I use RR to pay for something that gives RR, I won't get them.
With this in mind, does anyone have any ideas on how to work any deals? TIA

FYI.....I am brand new but I tried to "roll" a RR from yesterday's purchase of Colgate Toothbrush for a purchase of Dasani Water (which should have a $3 RR). It did not print. According to the store manager, it didn't print because I used a RR to buy something which offers a RR. he said this is forbidden. He also refused to accept multiple RR's for a purhcase....he said one per purchase. This sorta spoils the deal. I've read the FAQs here about RR (since there is no mention of RR rules on Walgreen's website).....Am I correct that I should be able to roll RRs as long as they are for a different manufacturer/product? And that I should be able to use multiple RRs towards a purchase?

You're correct. However, the store manager is allowed to make up the "rules" for his/her store. WAG has some Corporate guidelines, but no specific coupon policy that is chain wide. You could try contacting the District Manager for your area to ask for clarification on your area's policy. I found the number for my area listed in the local phone book. HTH.

Welcome to HCW and the WAG forum! Sorry you had trouble. As for "rolling" RRs, just be sure that you don't use the RR to purchase items in the same promo and expect another RR to print. That won't work. But you should be able to use those on a different promo and get a new RR. (e.g. chapstick RR to buy scrunci elastics and vise versa). The only exception is that P&G RRs have an exclusion and can't be used on P&G products.
As for the one RR per transaction "rule," it seems quite a few members have gotten that *stuff* from their stores. I got it once, and just don't shop that store anymore.

Thanks. It's overwhelming how much information is in all these forums. Anyway, I went to the other nearby Walgreens and they let me roll my RRs (though I only had one so not sure if they would have let me use multiples). Anyway, should anyone be interested, the location that does let you roll is:
Let's you roll: 6410 W Johns Xing, Duluth, GA 30097
Does not let you roll: 4395 Kimball Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022

I am new and do not know what a "filler" is. I have just started doing CVS and Walgreens. I have no problem with CVS but Walgreens is so confusing that I am ready to stop trying to get their RR. If I ask the cashiers to explaine their policys on coupons/rr they can't even explaine it.

a "filler" is a cheap inexpensive item you add to your transaction so it will bring the subtotal to the needed price to use your RR, or if you have 2mfg coupons and 2 RR but only 3 items ( 2 of them match the mfg ) you get a "filler" so your number of coupons/register rewards will match the number of items.

Hi, I was curious......I did the Glucose monitor deals where I used the Q to get the free monitor and then got the catalina for the free Crest Pro-Health t/p right.(I had to do all of those individually) So, will I still be able to get the rebate on the t/p's too? (The $5 rebate in the Easy Saver booklet) I figured I would but I wanted to ask before I tried it!
TIA ;)

I feel really like a ditz asking this, but since I don't know, I'll ask.
I received "Not a Redeemable Coupon" today, saying to buy $10 of participating ConAgra products during purchase dates and save $3.00 with coupon on your next shopping order. It is referring to the ad in today's paper.
What I don't understand is: Is this unredeemable coupon simply telling me that I will get $3RR? Or is this going to deduct $3 from my $10 total if I purchase the products? And if it is the latter, why does it says it is "unredeemable?"

I'm somewhat confused. I plan to go to Walgreens tomorrow and nearly every item earns RR. Do I get one coupon for the total (let's say $20) or do a get a million smaller coupons?? It seems like that is then a pain when you return, because you can't have more coupons than you have items. So when I return, I won't be able to use my coupons...I'm confused and don't like this! :)

Each RR is individual, so if you buy several items that produce RRs you will get several RRs.

You can use one manufacturer/RR coupon per item purchased, according to the wording on the RRs. Some stores only allow one RR per transaction. It can sometimes be a pain, but it's worth it. Lots of great deals at Walgreens.

For the RR expiration dates, is it for a certain amount of days from the time you receive the RR, or is it good until the next sale week, etc? I have some RRs from this Sunday that expire the 17th and I want them to last longer because I don't really see many good sales to take advantage of in the coming weeks. If I use those RRs to buy stuff for more RRs, just so I can keep them in my pocket, and I did it tonight, would they still expire the 17th? Or should I wait until tomorrow? :shrug7:

RR expire 14 days from the date you receive them ( date of purchase ) If you go in today and use those RR on items that produce another RR the new RR will expire 14 days from today

I checked out at a St. Louis Walgreens (Lemay Ferry) last week and was informed of a "new company policy" on the RR coupons-can't use RR coupon from the same store the same day.
The employee told me that I can't use a Register Reward coupon the same day as I get it. I was using the $4.50 Listerine RR coupon that I had received from an Arnold store. At first she wasn't going to allow me to use it, she checked the date real close & said I couldn't use it since it was printed that day. I explained to her that I got it earlier in the day from another store & then she allowed me to use it. When my RR coupon printed out with my purchase she said that I couldn't use that one at that store today...I would have to wait til the next day or later to use it.
Just wondering if you have heard anything about this so-called policy?
Thanks & sorry for the long story.

OK, what did I do wrong? Last night, I got the Colgate Maxwhite, the fish oil caps, 3 Sure for men, and a gallon of milk. I used a $1/1 mfr for the colgate, 3 x $1.50/1 for the deo, and a $5 RR and a $2 RR. My $8 RR printed for the fish oil caps, but not the Colgate. The cashier asked the mgr and another cashier, and they were sure it was because I paid for part of my order with RR's. I pointed out to them that a.) the $8 DID print out (thank goodness, or they would have never listened to me) and b.) I used RR's from last week's deals, so I was not 'rolling' them for the same item. The mgr did a return and a rebuy on the toothpaste so the RR would print, but it was all very grudgingly, and I know I won't be able to use my RR's there on RR items in the future, and get any kind of help if they don't print. Any idea why one RR would print and not the other? TIA!

Since you heard this from a cashier, I would seriously call and ask the SM if that's his/her policy. Perhaps receiving a call from a customer will make his/her realize how ridiculous it is and will get the cashiers trained properly (or the store policy changed, if that's the case).

Make sure you bought the correct size and "flavor". If so, either go back and speak with the manager on duty and see if he/she will help (they can ring up the product and void the order to make the RR print) or contact Catalina. First choice is the local store. Catalina takes weeks (8-10 is the latest report I've seen) to send the RR.

I searched the threads and couldn't find this topic, though I know I've seen it recently. Two trips to 3920 Garth, Baytown, TX (on 5/10 & 5/17) the rr didn't print, I was paying both times with prior rr's (I'm new at this but I know I can't use a reward to buy another same item). Last week manager said, "you can't pay with rr's and get the reward"; I asked "was this a new policy because I've been doing it for the past month". I left the store, came home and called the 800 cust service line. They took the info, got in touch with the store manager, he called me this past Tuesday and said "one time only he would print the rewards for me". (The items were the fish oil caps, roots of nature stuff, and colgate). Today I make a trip to 4849 Hwy 146, Baytown Tx, buy the Skintimate, Bayer & Colgate, pay with rr's and the rr's print just fine. (This location is out of my route, that's why I don't frequent it). Then I go to 3920 Garth location, purchase the exact same items, pay with prior rr's (yeah, not the ones I just got!), and the rr's don't print. Clerk doesn't know why, calls the manager over, she (a different one on duty than last Sunday) says "you can't get rewards when you pay with rewards", I said, "is this a written policy, I'd like to see it", she says "no, it's how we're told to do it". I smiled (well, at least I tried to smile, and left). I've filled out the online customer form, will see what kind of response I get. I suppose my next option would be to file a complaint with the BBB, I checked the Houston office and Wags showed (I think) 346 total complaints over the last 36 months, this covers a multitude of issues. My other option is to file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office, I suppose I could allege "deceptive advertising".
Anyone else having this problem? Yeah, and I guess I could quit shopping at the Garth location, and completely redo my "get free stuff" route. (There's a CVS directly across from the Garth location; Kroger, Target & Wal Mart are right down the street also)

I have to agree with your 'deceptive advertising' thoughts. It doesn't really upset me if the RRs don't print and they fix it, but when I get the 'oh well, I guess you didn't get one' response, it absolutely drives me nuts! An advertised sale is not something that you get if it's your lucky day!

Update on my callback from store manager 05/20/09:
"You can't pay with register rewards and get a register reward for a product that is eligible for a reward, even if you pay with an entirely different manufacturers reward"; yeah, that's the gist of my callback from the Wags manager this afternoon from the Garth Rd (Baytown, Tx) location. She insists this is not a new policy at their store, I keep asking "show me in writing, I'm from Missouri" (well, I'm not, but you get the point). She says that the writing on the back of the rr says "Cannot be combined with the same or any other offer", my response was, "huh, that has nothing to do with getting another reward". We went round & round on this matter, she isn't gonna budge on the store position. She also said the rr's could only be used at Wags, and I said "I don't think so, there's no stipulation that says ""redeemable at Walgreens only"" (not that I would), it's a manufactures coupon, not a store coupon, it's not issued by Walgreens""so it can be used at any place that accepts mfrs coupons". I suggested she contact her division office with my complaint and again, show me something in their store policy that doesn't allow rr's when paying with different rr's. I'm guessing the home office kicks these complaints back to the originating store and expects them to settle them. I think my next move (aside from not shopping at the Garth location, I've already transferred a prescription from there) will be to complain to the BBB, then also fill out the Attorney Generals' complaint form.

Before you go through all that hassle, I have just a few questions. What happens if you use a RR from another promo to pay? Does the RR print? If it does, what does the cashier do with it? Maybe the SM just doesn't know how it works and is trying to prevent a bunch of complaints when the RR doesn't print. :shrug7:
If it's just the one store, try another one. That's alot of problems and time wasted just to prove a point, IMHO. It appears that this particular manager isn't going to budge on what she believes works/doesn't work as far as RRs. Definitely not worth my time, but I guess not everyone thinks as I do.

The RR did not print on those two sales (I can see the cat printer and nothing printed either time). Oh yeah, I'd be really fussin' if the cashier tried to keep my RR's:biggrin:. I used a different RR (than the items I was buying, I wasn't trying to buy Colgate with another Colgate reward.); the RR I used to pay would have been from the previous weeks flyer.
I have been back to the Garth Rd store this week, tried a different approach, I paid at the cosmetics counter instead of the register near the front door. I picked up the Colgate and the two Reach toothbruses, paid with RR's from the previous week (and a mq), didn't have a problem, the current RR's printed fine. I also stopped at another Wags and didn't have a problem also purchasing these same items.
I agree it's not worth the hassle of carrying this complaint further, I don't think it would change the SM's point of view anyway. Besides, that's more time I have to spend looking for bargains and free stuff, and that's a lot more fun and positive than arguing:BigHand:. I did get a $25 offer in the mail for a gift card if I transferred the prescription (that I transferred to Krogers) back to Wags but it's $36 a year cheaper at Krogers than at Wags. I suspect the gift card offer is just automatically sent when you transfer a 'scrip, I can't imagine my complaint had anything to do with it, it was mailed from Deerfield, Il.

Walgreen's policy is that they do not accept expired coupons, including RRs. Posting about anything against the store policy is grounds for warning/infraction points.
ETA: Read the WAG faq thread and the RR faq thread- the info is there. Also, the Community Rules section lets you know what is okay to post and what warrants warning/infraction points.

If I did not get the RR from the Meter deal today, I should contact the Catalina company, right? I went to 2 different WAGS and it happened each time. I was bummed, because that is FREE WAGS money, not to mention I got the coupons as a RAOK from a dear person on HCW!

OK, I have been reading, but still don't get it...
Let's say today is the last day of the sale, Saturday and my Item that prints RRs is out of stock. I get a rain check for the sale price. Good. The question is, how do I know how long the RR will print for??
I have seen mention here on periods, so is each RR deal good for just that week? That's what I thought, but I've seen mention that it's good for the month? Where is that info listed?
Thanks a lot!

UrbanMama keeps an updated list of all the RR deals here (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/walgreens-catalina-deals-register-rewards/160950-current-walgreens-register-reward-summary.html). She lists the dates of each deal and also does coupon match ups.

Gracias, but how would a "newbie" know these dates? Where does Walgreens print this?
The dates are found in several ways. Sometimes, an advertisement catalina is printed prior to the beginning of the promo dates when someone purchases either an item included in the promo or a competitor's product similar to those included in the promo. Then it's posted here. Secondly, we watch the shelf signage, the little red RR signs. These include the dates that the RR promo is valid. Sometimes the promo is valid for one week, and sometimes it's valid for several weeks but only advertised in the weekly ad for one week.
Just keep an eye on the WAG RR subforum here on HCW. We all work together to keep up with the current promos. Also, UrbanMama makes it easy by updating the Current RR Summary thread. She's a great help to us all!

Please help me I am confused. I bought some Claritin today and received 5R/R. I made a second purchase of Bayer products and had a mfg. coupon. the register would not let me use my coupon AND R/R. I know I have done that before. It happened with other stuff too. So I ended up with a bunch of R/R that I could not use inconjuction with my mfg. coupons.

Welcome to HCW. You can only use one manufacturer's coupon (MQ) per item purchased. Your RR counts as a MQ. So, in order to use the MQ + RR, you will need to add a cheap filler (something that isn't attached to a MQ of its own), and you can then use both.

Here you go:
Q: My RR/Catalina didn't print. What do I do ?
A1: The store will give you a form to fill out and mail in to catalina
A2: 1-888-8coupon, option 3
A3: use the online form: Contact | Catalina Marketing (http://www.catalinamarketing.com/contact/)
You can contact them online too.

Hi. I just went to Walgreens today to take advantage of the John Frieda great RR deal. I had 3 coupons and had my $5 RR printed at the end. So that worked fine.
I had a second transaction with 2 bottles of St Ives body wash, each at $2.99 and get $2.99 in RR. I paid part of it with the $5 RR that I just got from John Frieda and paid the rest cash. Only 1 catalina RR printed for St Ives while I bought 2 bottles. I was expecting a $6 RR coupon but I got only one for $3. The cashier said it is because I paid part of the transaction with another RR. Is it true ? Anything I can do ?
Thanks.

The reason you didn't get 2 RR is because only 1 will print per transaction no matter how many you purchase. In order to get 2 RR you would have to split them up in 2 different transactions. IMO chalk it up to learning.

There are two Ecotrin RR's running;
$5 RR WYB 1 Ecotrin 81 MG, 365 ct
and
$5 RR WYB 1 Ecotrin 325 Mg, 300 ct
Can you get 2 $5 RR if you buy both in the same transaction?
Can you use the $5 RR from the 81 mg with a purchase that involves the 325 MG and get another $5 RR.
Anyone do this?
An other words are these treated as the same promo or two different triggers.

I don't think you would get 2 RR if you got both of them in the same transaction.
I also don't think you can "roll" the RR from one type of ecotrin to the other, since they are both ecotrin .
I definitely wouldn't risk it

Has anyone else had trouble with the Dry Idea RR deal? I didn't receive my RR, so I brought it to the attention of the manager. She said it was because the combination of the manufacturer's coupon I used and the RR I would have received would have resulted in the Dry Idea being free. I told her this has never been a problem in the past. She said, "The manufacturers are setting it up that way now. They don't want people getting their products for free." She printed a RR by hand and gave it to me. She said, "I'll give it to you this time, but not in the future."
It would be disappointing if this is true. Half the fun of shopping at Walgreens is getting things free!

Nothing has change with the RR and using MQ on the transaction. There are those rare occasions when the MQ and the RR have the same code and that will affect the RR printing. But, you're the first to post a problem with this promo, so I don't think that's the issue. Did the manager take you to a different register to "print the RR by hand"? (I'm really not sure what that means, but I'm assuming s/he rang the product on a different register and gave you the RR that printed.) I'm thinking there was something wrong with the Catalina machine at the initial register.

I have several $3 RR from the Aquafresh RR last week.
1-What can I NOT use them to pay for ? Only Aquafresh? Or is there something else that it will restrict me? Like won't print RR for?
2-I think I understand the whole # of items=# of coupons, but if I choose to use the 3/$1 eco-bags, that will be 3 items w/ 1 coupon. Does the coupon attach to each so I can't use 1 eco-coupon & 2 RR? I will need separate items for any/all of the RR I choose to use?
Thanks!

You can use the RR to pay for anything EXCEPT the items in the same promo, and still get a new RR to print. Also, there are usually restrictions printed on the RR (no dairy, for example). Outside of those restrictions and "rolling" into the same promo, you should be good to go.
Walgreens Qs (in ad) do not count toward the # of qs/register logic. So, the 7 day Q for the eco-bags doesn't "count" as far as the number of Qs you can use in this transaction.

I've never had anyone issue a RC to include the RR amount. IF someone does that, they would not be able to print an actual RR. They MIGHT be able to include the RR amount of the RR as a discount in price. However, I've never had a WAG RC to include the RR. I've seen a few people post that their store did this, but it's very rare. It's definitely not WAG's policy to do so. As for the item being out of stock, there's always that little clause that "not all products are available in all stores." There really nothing we can do at that point.
You could go to Walmart and have them price match, if the product is in the current ad. But they won't pice match a RR, only the sale price.

This is definatly one of my MAJOR issues w/WAG. They run out of the really good sale and RR reward itemswithin an hour of opening on Sunday and when the next truck comes (Fridays here) in they tell me on Sat. the warehouse was out or shorted them.
However, amazingly there is stock on the shelf Sun or Mon. Oh well. not my problem. Someone else will have the same item on sale withing a week or so.

The in-ad walgreens flyer coupons do not count in your coupon count. So, if you buy three bags, you have three items without any coupon connected so you could use 3RR's.

You should be able to use your Aquafresh RR on anything but Aquafresh.
The in-ad coupons do not count as coupons. So if you buy 3 bags your count is 3 items that to which you can "attach" manufacturer coupons or RRs .
e.g. (make believe scenario)
$5 Listerine ($2 coupon) gives $2 RR
$2 Shampoo ($1 coupon) gives $2 RR
$4 Detergent ($1 coupon) gives $1 RR
$1 3 Bags
$2 Conditioner ($1 coupon)gives $2 RR
=7 items-4 items with mqs and 3 items left overfor the RRs
$14-$5 coupons=$9-(3)$3RR= Tax oop Receive $7 in RRs

Okay- I have read the FAQs and for some reason I am still confused. I want to do the following:
Buy 5 Nabisco Chips Ahoy & 5 Capri Sun which will earn 5$ RR
I have two $3RR and I have 5 $2 off wyb chips ahoy and capri sun.
First ?:
can I use all of these Qs, pay $4 and get a $5 RR back? or is this not allowed because RR are considered a manuf Q and since by using the 5 caprisun/chips ahoy Qs each item has a Q attached to it so this is not legal? (if so this is where I truly wish they were like CVS ECBs and why this system frustrates me- but I am trying to see if I can make it work for me)
2nd ?:
I seem to run into problems trying to use RR on the next item, but I am wondering if I am just misunderstanding. For example- if I only used 4 capri sun/chips ahoy Qs could I then use my two $3RR (since one would apply to each of the remaining 2 items). My head tells me no because the RR is for $3 and the product is for $2, but now I am wondering if the only reason I had trouble in the past was because all myy Qs combined exceeded the total?
Please help if you can. As you can see I don't quite grasp the whole RR thing. Thank you so much!

So you could do
20.00 5 Chips Ahoy & 5 Capri Sun
.67 (2) Reusable Shopping bags w/ in-ad Q (pg.10 of ad)
20.67 total
-10.00 (5) $2/2 Qs

Q: What exactly are Register Rewards (RR) ? Are they like cash off your next order (OYNO).
A: They are catalinas that print up after your qualifying purchases. The OYNO RR can be used like cash toward future purchase.

How do I know if the RR are OYNO?
All RRs are OYNO. But occasionally you'll get a catalina coupon, which is just like a regular manufacturer's coupon ($1 off x product, for example). Both the RR and the catalina coupons are considered MQs, so they "count" in the coupon to item ratio. So, you can have one coupon per item purchased, plus a WAG Q such as a 7 day / in-ad Q or an IVC (instant value Q). HTH.

You can use them on your next order as long as it's not from the same company as the thing you're buying. (Well actually if you are just spending them that would work fine) But if you are wanting to buy something that will produce RR's then you have to make sure they are different companies or you will not get your RR's.
The company is not as clearly marked on the RR's as they used to be either, so you might want to mark what product you got the RR from(like in the corner or whatever).
Hope this makes since and that it helps!! ;) Happy Shopping and welcome to HCW!!

Has anyone tried Children's Benadryl Fastmelts for the RR deal this week? They are on sale for $4.99 each and also have $1/1 peelies making them $1.50 a box if the $5RR prints. It is not shown in the ad so I'm not sure I should try it.
TIA!:thanks7:

Are RR available from Walgreens in all 50 states? Do we need to ask local manager?

Some areas get a smaller ad and don't get all the RR promos. But, as far as I know, the RR is in all 50 states.

ok last week i wanted to do a deal to get 5 rr. i was going to buy 8 kashi cereals 3 for 7 + kotex deal buy 3 get 3. I had 6 coupons 1.50 for kashai cereal and had 2 coupons for buy 3 get one free and $1 off kotex and wanted to pay with rr 2 ($4) and one $2. The manager said i could not use rr and manufacture coupons together (she said she would not get paid). i want to know if that is true or was it because i did not have enough items to match the rr and i need 3 fillers.
thanks for the help

She was wrong. You needed fillers to be able to use all the Qs and the three RRs.

:thanks7:why do they make up stuff and then teach it to the cashiers

The problem is, that WAG doesn't have a standard Corporate coupon policy. Each Store Manager is allowed to interpret the guidelines, and make their own "rules" for the store.

Monday, I bought 2 Bendaryl itch items, and should have gotten the $5 RR.
I used a $1 coupon and the $5 RR from the cheez-its. I didn't get a RR, so I called catalina. Before when I have called them, they have looked over the receipt with me and told why I didn't get it. Today when I called, though, they said I either needed to fax them the receipt, or scan it and email it in. I don't have a fax, and don't have a scanner. Is this something new? Any idea why I didn't get the RR? I received them for other things, so I'm sure the machine worked. Thanks.

You need to wait at least 24 hours to call, so that Catalina will have access to the transaction to look it up. If you did wait 24 hrs, then :shrug7:. I haven't had that happen before, sorry.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere so I thought I would ask...I used the BTS shopper coupon and a manf. coupon to get the Huggies wipes deal and I ended up with a $1.00 off Pampers wipes cat in my bag? Was that part of the deal b/c I never saw it posted and I would've done my transactions separately if I would have known? It is good until 10/24.

That's an MQ. They sometimes print when you buy a competitor's product. They can be pretty random and not always print with each transaction. It's not a RR, but a MQ. You can use it to purchase Pampers wipes.

I have a question for Wags/RR experts out there. I'm new to couponing & went a little overboard in the last few weeks at Wags, so I have about $30 in RR I need to use before they expire on Sunday- and I'm not wowed by any of the sales or RR opportunities this week. I could do a ton of small transactions on carefree pads or something...what do you guys do when you have RR's to burn but no tempting deals out there!?! (obvious answer is to use them for something you really need...but I cannot bring myself to buy anything at wags full price b/c I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere!!!

If I have q's to match the rr deals then i get those and think if I can't use the product who can I give it to? For example the scrubbing bubbles deal sounds good because I have a $3 coupon, I wouldn't use it but maybe someone I know may and I still get rr's back incase there is a good deal next week I can use it on. Have you looked into the allergy/cough deal on page 9 buy 2 products get $5rr. I did that this week and used a $1 off each wags q that I found in the copuon book they had at the reg. flue season is coming. another one I was thinking of was the duracell deal on the last page. We go through batteries like crazy. But maybe you already did them.

I got a bogo formula catalina at wags today. I have two formula coupons for this brand, can I use the catalina and two formula checks? Or do I need to add one filler to the order?

Hello all...
I was wondering if anyone can answer about how long it will take if I use the online form to see if I can get my RR back. =(
I went in to Walgreen and brought all my stuff:
-2 Softsoap bady wash 2/$8 Get $4RR
-2 Band-Aid $2.49 each Get $3
-True North Crisps Get $3RR
Nothing....nothing came out and then the cashier told me all the machines are broken and weren't printing the new RR out. Because I did get the carefree and that printed out. I'm so sad I lost $10 in RR.
Thanks to anyone that can help with the answers!!

It takes about 8-10 wks. I think I'd just take it all back and return/rebuy. I know it's a hassle, but it beats waiting that long for the RR to be mailed.
You must have shopped very early this morning, right? In my experience, the new RRs don't print until about 6:30 or 7:00. I've seen it posted on other boards that they print earlier, but I don't risk it. I had several problems when I first started, and I'd rather just sleep a bit longer than to try to argue with mgmt that early. :giggle2:

I agree with Mikki that you should return it all and rebuy. And don't feel guilty-- it's what they advertised! It's not appropriate for the store to just say the machines are not working, and that's that. Getting the advertised deal shouldn't be a crap shoot. I would insist that they resolve the issue for you.

Maybe if you take the items to the store to do a return/rebuy, the SM will just help to make the RRs print, and you won't have to return/rebuy. Either way, you should have gotten the RRs.

Yeah I know...but since I already left the store, I don't know if they will believe me. The management team is not really friendly and because I used coupons and a RR on the transaction they always try to find way to tell me NO. I only lost it with them once so I think I rather go the long way to get my RR back. Which is faster calling the # or doing the online form. At the point, I don't mind the 8 to 10 weeks.

You'll need a filler. The RR won't scan unless the subtotal is at least $3.

Call them. You won't get an email response and you never know if anything will show up if you do the online route (at least I haven't gotten a response when I tried it).

Can I buy more than one True North in a transaction?
Can I use the $3 rr to buy an aditional one?
