I went to Farm Fresh for the first time New Years Eve. Had heard from another member her locally about them doubling $1 coupons.

So I went in and clarified with the manager-type-person the policy. He did tell me you could use any number of the same type, which I now know it's only supposed to be 2.

NONE of my coupons doubled. So I waited at the service desk, and she didn't know what to do. She wanted to void the whole order and re-ring everything. So the manager guy comes up and says, "Yup, that's what we'll have to do. It's a glitch." I sounded horrible, because I've been sick, and I must have looked the same, so he said, "Tell you what, how many coupons did you have?" I told him I had 12 $1 coupons. So he told me to pick out $12 in merchandise and he'd give it to me for free.

I wasn't ecstatic, because I wanted to pay $4 for my order, not $16, but I said ok. At least he was nice and trying to be helpful. I picked out $12, went back through, and she MANUALLY entered all the coupons in as $1 from the first receipt. It took forever.

Are there issues with doubling or something? I don't want to go back if it's going to be like this every time.

Were the coupons the $1/1 Kellogg's coupons from the 12/14 Red Plum by any chance? I had the same problem and after looking at the numbers along the bottom of them carefully, it turns out that all of those coupons have the same UPC numbers across the bottom. Even though they look different and are completely different coupons, the scanner reads them as being the same and so only doubles 2 an order.

Once we figured that out, my really nice cashier just rang them in sets of two for me. Now I double check the UPCs at the bottom of the coupons if there are two that are for the same product family, even if they look different or, like the Chex Mix coupons, are from different week's inserts.

None of mine doubled, period. 3 different $1 coupons. I had multiples of the McCormick (over 2) only because the manager had originally told me it was ok. The cashier told me it was limit 2 of the same kind. But none of them at all doubled.

In my stores there are fliers stating that coupons UNDER $1 double, so that would mean that $1 coupons do NOT. Or is there a different policy in other stores?

I think I might have been mistaken about the OP's time frame - there were some stores that were doubling up too and including $1 a week or so ago and tripling up to and including .50.

There is a Farm Fresh store locally that doubles up to and including $1.00 on Wednesdays. You'll never guess where I am every Wednesday morning! :hysterical: Love my Farm Fresh.

Our ad yesterday showed that they will be doubling up to $1 every Wed. in January and on Friday if you spend $75 you get .99/gal gas.

Ours doubles to $1 all the time, I assume because they have competition in Harris Teeter, that triples to 99¢ all the time. Craziness.

I hope that happens when Harris Teeter gets completed here! I'd probably spend half my free time at HT once it finishes being built and opens if they triple to $.99 all the time!

Me too! I just found out about the HT and it can only mean good things for our neck of the woods, Hokie. :)

I never have any trouble with my Qs doubling at Farm Fresh. Even when they did the double up to a dollar and triple up to 50¢ a few weeks ago they all came out fine.

Going to do a quick matchup for today's sale. Not spending too much time on it since Bloom is tripling this weekend.
