A&P Triples start 1/2/09

I just got my flyers and A&P will be having triple coupons starting this Friday 1/2/09. I haven't had a chance to match sales/coupons yet but with Pathmark tripling also, it's gonna be a busy week!!!:BigHand:

a few things i noticed right away in the ad:

also check the muir glen tomatoes they were 2.19 a can on the 15oz so the .75/1 coups out there make them free without a sale

and on the 4 day sale fri-mon red peppers .98 a lb a great price imho i will be stocking up and freezing will ad more when i can sit down and really go thru the ad :smile:

The only other thing I have come up with yet are the Kashi cookies. There are .50 coupons out that would make them 1.00. That's great for Kashi.

The success rice coupons expire on Sunday, so I"m going to get as much rice as I can before then. Also, the Asian Gourmet coupons are good for the rice crackers I eat, and that should make them close to free.

I found Lindt bars @ $2 . Used $.75 10/05 SS, so $.25 overage. It was on sale from reg price @$2.59.

Cliff Z Bar, reg price @ $.99. Used $.50 Mambo Sprouts q, so free, no overage.

Back to Nature Mac & Cheese , non sale @$1.79. Used $.70 Mambo sprouts q. Coupon tripled to $1.79. Free.

Pounce cat Treats, reg price $2.49. Used $.75 q 12/07 RP, so $.24.

Didn't see anything else that I'd rush back for.

I concur, the triples @ A & P weren't so hot, only because the last month or so has been really lacking in the coupon department. But I did do the Nestle buy $30 get $7 OYNO buying the 1/2 price lean cuisine & Buotoni pasta @ $399 plus $1 off coupons I had. I was really surprised to see how expensive the Muir Glen soup & tomato sauce were; even after tripled they were no bargain, but the diced tomatoes were free.

my A&P doesn't take printables at all as far as the dnd5 coups pick your cashier wisely ( young males best lol) if they check them carefully they can stop them from doubling hth :smile:

The triples seem to be getting stinkier by the year. They used to be so good a few years ago, I used to really be able to stock up on so much. They are very crafty now with how they structure the sales to be lots of store brand stuff when it is triple time...

I got a ton of Lindt chocolate and Green Giant Steamers free this morning. And one box of Betty Crocker potatoes (sweet potatoes!).

The Lindt chocolate shelf was not labelled, but I was brave, and it was $2 as reported. So thanks everyone for the tips.

One of my many resolutions for 2009 is to eat more veggies. The Steamers look delicious! Not the usual freaking corn or peas or broccoli we usually get. yeye!

found a store with Muir Glen and got a case for free....greased with some free chocolate coupons for the most helpful cashiers! I am so happy! Free veggies and free tomatoes-- nothing makes this couponer happier in life. Thanks everyone!

Some other things I noticed using qs currently out there:

Free: Frank's Hot Sauce (smallest size), Suave deodorant, Lipton black tea, 16 ct (herbal teas are also on sale for 2.00, making them very cheap with q)

Cheap if you like it: Mentos Gum, Blue Diamond Almonds (on sale this week for 1.99 precoupon, they have wasabi, smokehouse, and other flavors).

My A&P also does not take IPs, thanks for the responses.

Just got back and found a great deal on Fiber One products. I had coupons for the pastry tarts, muffin mix, and pancake mix. Each of them was either 2 for 4 or 2 for 5. I had .60 coupons, but they also had 3 buy products get one free coupons on them. For 2 steamers, 2 muir glen tomatoes, 3 betty crocker potatoes, and 8 fiber one products, I spend $3.45! Can't beat that!

Great job! I'm finally headed out today to get in on the triples offer at my A&P. (Nothing like waiting until the last minute. LOL) I hope there's some good deals left on the shelves. I'll definetly check out the Fiber-One deals. Thanks.
