Hotcouponworld members speak a language all our own and we have a guide to help you decipher the abbreviations, acronyms and terms that you will find others using in their posts.
Direct link: Abbreviations, Acronyms & Coupon Terms (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/abbreviations-acronym-coupon-terms/)
The above link can be found at the bottom of EACH AND EVERY page here at Hotcouponworld! :BigHand: Just scroll on down to the end of the page and look under the heading titled "Useful Links".
We suggest that you refer to this page often anytime you need to know what a term means. And then if you have a term that you want added to that list, just click on the link at the bottom of that page and make your suggestion. I add new terms to that list pretty often so that it is kept updated and hopefully is a useful feature to all our members, new and old alike.
And while there may be other lists on this site THIS list is the only one kept updated with new terms.

I know there was a posting somewhere, but I've been looking for a 1/2 hour and am very tired, so I was wondering if someone can tell me what DND, NED and GDA mean? Can someone post a link to the forum with all of these in it? Thanks for your time!

I tried to use the suggest a new acronym, etc form but there's no submit button.
I wanted to suggest AYOR-at your own risk (in conjunction with concealed cash).

I like this one. I resubmitted this one and gave you credit. I think it has to be reviewed before it is available in the list.

Usually, I totally agree.

I wondered about ITA also. My mind kept reading it as ETA which is estimated arrival time, but I couldn't figure out what the I would stand for..impending? :giggle2:
I totally agree makes MUCH more sense!

I'm curious why I sometimes see 'coupons' typed as 'Q(sic)pons.' Does that mean something specific? I thought it was just an abbreviation of sorts, but it seems like it would be harder to type than the word coupon, so now I'm confused!

I might be wrong but I think that is mostly where mods have edited posts/titles that say Qs... I've seen the same thing with for example, MIR being edited to say MailInRebate instead.

Question,.. so if in someone's have list or the database it says , for example...
$1/1 Tyson chicken any (DND5) blinkie
is that different from a
$1/1 Tyson chicken any blinkie that does start with a 5 but does NOT say anywhere DND??
I don't have doubles where I live, and want to be fair/accurate when trading coupons
Thanks

Whats the difference between Pay Pal and Pay pal exsisting funds

Paypal means the money you are sending could be from a credit card funded account or an account funded by a bank account from say, Washington Mutual, or money that is actually in your paypal account. Existing funds means the money comes from the actual paypal balance or a person's bank account.

Hi! :wavehi: $1.00/1 means the coupon is $1.00 off 1 item... anytime you see numbers like that.. it's usually the coupon amount.. $1.00/2 would be $1.00 off 2 items and so on.. HTH..
