Can someone tell me what the affiliation is between Super 1 Foods and Brookshire/Brookshire Bros? I'ved noticed that my bank statement says 'Brookshire' when I use it at Super 1 Foods.

Super 1 is to Brookshires as Sack n Save is to Minyards.
Brookshires opened Super 1 Foods as a discount grocery store about 15 years ago. The prices were supposed to be cheaper than Brookshires because you don't get full service.
Hope it helps =)

Of those three stores I only know of Super 1, but I think I understand where you're coming from

Wow! If Super 1 is cheaper I'd hate to shop at Brookshires! We used to shop at Super 1 a lot about six or seven years ago but it seems their prices have really risen. We were looking for a replacement for Super Walmart grocery, but Super 1 ain't it. They do have cheap gasoline however and then give you 5% off your grocery bill with receipt for a fill up. It helps, but I can't see going there for anything but what's on sale.

Thanks for the clarification.

We have a brookshires and a little store they own called Ole. The next town over has a super 1 foods. The closer you are to tyler, tx the more variety of brookshire own stores.
